- Put glass pack style magnaflow exhaust on my Dodge Challenger Hellcat and they have the best sound I’ve heard. Want to get rid of the drone then get you some of these.

Nice! To me, it sounds just right for a daily driver. Sounds like something you can live with from day to day. I have the Magnaflow larger oval mufflers on my 2013 5.7 Charger cop car and I had the rear resonators removed too. Sounds REALLY good but not REALLY loud. After the fact, I find that I could probably live with the slightly louder Magnaflow bullet style mufflers. Maybe next time!

I did the same set up with my cat. I've still got the resonators and now I'm 2.85 upper pulley, 1050x injectors,catless mids intake and tune. And I think this is the way to go even catless. Super loud when you want it but quite just cruising.
Exactly being loud at all times is asking for trouble. They see that big cat on the side 😂

I’m looking at the same muffler for my dodge Dakota R/T. I think that’s what I’ll get. I currently have no mufflers as well. My neighbors probably don’t like me right now. Lol
It’s a good muffler if your car is naturally loud. I definitely recommend

Correct! I ended up removing the resonators to install quad tips. Didn’t get much louder just changed the tone

Previous owner of my car deleted the rear resonators. Im going with the magnaflow 4" at the mid and doing the stainless quad tips. Im a little worried it will be too loud. Guess I could add the little race bullet resonators at the rear if its too loud? Magnaflow have a reputation of burning out over time and ending up loud as hell. I love the sound of these mufflers but I bet im replacing them in 6 months.
It won’t be too loud. I did the same thing with the tips. I went all black. I couldn’t fit the tips without getting rid of the resonators. It’s loud when cold started or when you go WOT

@@CarReviewsbyKJ yeah, its pretty awful. The stock system was 2 1/4" and my muffler shop took it apon himself to make my entire system 2 1/2 inch. The X pipe section was 2 1/4 so he cut that out and made a cross over removing the X altogether. The car isn't running right in my opinion. Im thinking he needs to put my stock X back in and then remove the magnaflo 4"x14" rounds and put something more substantial back in as a muffler. I got excited by a bunch of idiots on the web and now my car sounds like a hillbilly peice of junk. I'll get it right... basically its a straight pipe peice of shit right now lacking any bottom end performance.🙄

They are in place of the mid mufflers. I removed the resonators after this video. What are you putting them on?
I am also looking to replace my mid Resonators with the Straight Round Magnaflow muffler (either #10416 which has 2.5 in inlet/outlet diameter or #10415 which has 2.25 in inlet/outlet diameter) and removing the rear muffler with the straight pipes. I am looking to do this on my Dodge Challenger GT AWD 2018.
I have also learned that Magnaflow mufflers become more loud, say after a year of regular driving (maybe because of fiber glass packing in them - not entirely sure about what part numbers)
Are you going for the performance sound? Magnaflow might sound raspy on the GT
My friend had some on his V6 Mustang and it took away from the sporty sound.
Are these considered glass packs? Was trying to find out what magnaflow uses for their packing is it fiberglass?
Basically it really doesn’t have much inside. But it gives off a smooth tone
Technically, no. Magnaflow uses dense steel wool instead of fiberglass. The principle is the same as glass packs but the material is different. They say that the steel wool packing is less likely to break down and blow out. I don’t know if that’s true or not. In my opinion, Magnaflow mufflers don’t really “shape” or alter the sound of the engine. The straight thru design seems to let the engine sound like itself but with a little volume control. I’m definitely a Magnaflow fan!

@@martinthompson2425 I’ve heard the glasspack material makes a crackling noise when it gets hot.. Does the steel wool magnaflow do this?
@@Dnasty1 . I haven’t noticed anything like that with the Magnaflows on my 2013 charger or ‘79 el Camino. I do know that some exhaust system components make a little noise as they expand with heat then contract as they cool. Probably more noticeable when cooling.

@@CarReviewsbyKJ A good growl at idle and at 2000 rpms but not too loud to avoid being a cop magnet as i know things are getting strict at RTA passing and cops are desperate to snap these mods in SHJ and AJMAN,

I had a V6 with super 10 flowmasters but it had some drone. The magnaflow Will sound better when you rev it and on the freeway

Yeah my neighborhood super quiet and I go to work at 5 am. Plus the mid mufflers delete take away back pressure. I deleted the resonator too recently
