i believe he's listed in the cast and phase 4 seems to center around the doctor strange 2 movie (from the minimal description we have), which deals with the multiverse, and there's the loki tv show, which is in an alternate universe/timeline that was created when loki from the past stole the tesseract in endgame, so i'd say loki is a safe bet for thor 4

I love interviews like this where there seems to be a mutual respect between both parties, and the interviewer gives the interviewee plenty of time to answer questions and doesn't cut him off. And the answers are so thoughtful and interesting. Such a lovely interview!

Damn, Tom looked genuinely saddened when the interviewer mentions there will be a time where Tom has to hang up the Loki costume. It’s crazy what the Marvel universe has done for a lot of their actors. With Hiddleston, the MCU really gave him a huge stepping stone into Hollywood. Now he’s leading his own blockbuster films, and being nominated for all sorts of awards.
+Ned: 'Night Manager' was outstanding. not only was Tom great all the other main characters such as Olivia Coleman and especially Hugh Laurie in the villain role were fantastic. in addition you have all those colorful locations and surprising twists. a truly enjoyable series displaying the depth of Tom's acting talent.
I like Loki as a character, but I love Tom as a person. They are like exact opposites. I wish I could tell him that. He is an amazing person and I thoroughly appreciate that he stays humble.
That he’s let his thick, wavy hair grow out adds to the amazing look. With the beard, it harks back to his appearance in Henry V (personal fave). Tom’s one of those men who looks even better in a beard. Not to mention one of the lucky few who can wear glasses and still look fantastic.

Same when I saw Infinity War (it was the first marvel movie I had seen in a while) and Loki died I was just like. Eh. I don’t even know who he is. But then I rewatched all the thor and avengers movies and now I’m fricken dying of heartbreak. Marvel can’t kill him off. If they do they’ve lost like half of the fan base 😂😂
Tom Hiddleston is such an inspiration. His role as Loki was probably one of the smartest decisions that was ever made for the MCU and lead to one of the most iconic movie villains of all time, right up there with Voldemort and The Joker. It’s the first time that I’ve loved the actor as much as the character they play. Tom is so ... real (for lack of a better term). He doesn’t get drawn up in all the celebrity drama and doesn’t act like he’s king of the world just because he plays a beloved character (though he could become that very easily XD). He remains humble and polite and lighthearted and _human,_ which I respect so, so much. It’s not often you see someone in the same position as Tom who hasn’t gotten carried away with their fame. I respect him so much and he is inspiring beyond belief, and I hope I may have the honor of telling him that someday... The first 3 minutes of Infinity War broke my heart and I’m still very sad over loosing Loki (his death was so horrible and pretty pathetic, too!), but I respect Tom Hiddleston enough to not loose my crap over it. Yes I’m upset, but he’s been in that role for 10 years and despite how flawlessly he plays it, everyone needs to move on at some point, and I will always respect any decisions Tom makes in that department.

I definitely understand the need for actors to do more than just one (type of) role because of the fear of being typecasted/being trapped in that same role for years but do they REALLY have to kill off a character in order for everyone else to "move on"? I love the other roles that Tom's been in right after his popularity blew up from the first Thor movie and I'd love to see him in more various roles in the future, but can't they just leave Loki alive?

It’s crazy what the Marvel universe has done for a lot of their actors. With Hiddleston, the MCU really gave him a huge stepping stone into Hollywood. Now he’s leading his own blockbuster films, and being nominated for all sorts of awards.

Plus, they've both survived the vacuum of space before (think Ragnorak, when Hela threw them out of Asgard's beam-me-up beam). AND remember that Loki was _hiding_ when Thanos was pummeling Thor in Infinity War, *but* he _made_ his presence known to Thanos on purpose; why would he do that? Answer: he did it to buy Thor some time as he was hiding elsewhere.
I know, I know: how was it one of Loki's tricks when Thanos could physically touch him as he strangled him to "death"? Let's think back to Avengers to answer that question: when everyone thought he was IN THE GLASS CAGE, but he wasn't really. My point: Loki is not an idiot and has lots of tricks up his green sleeves.
The fact that he just popped up like a possum from the wreckage left over from The Hulk's and Thanos's fight, deliberately coming out of hiding like that to Thanos and friends, definitely means that he thought it all out before doing so. It's such a Loki thing to do.

You forget who you are talking about: Loki, the God of Mischief, he even 'spelled it in Thanos' face'. He is the greatest trickster in the Universe, and i think in IW-2, Loki will show us all, hów he tricked Thanos, Thor, and everyone into believing he was dead. Still being a (demi)God, Loki, like Thor, is extremly powerful, ánd resillient enough to wield (atleast one) Infity stone(s). Hence Thanos would be interested to thin the number of beings that cóuld wield this power against him. But like many, if not everyone: he has underestimated Loki. Loki was powerful enough to even put Odin, the Allfather under a spell.(HE admitted in Ragnarok: Freya'd been proud! ^^ Acknowledgement of Loki's great power!).

Tom Hiddleston is such an inspiration. His role as Loki was probably one of the smartest decisions that was ever made for the MCU and lead to one of the most iconic movie villains of all time, right up there with Voldemort and The Joker. It’s the first time that I’ve loved the actor as much as the character they play. Tom is so ... real (for lack of a better term). He doesn’t get drawn up in all the celebrity drama and doesn’t act like he’s king of the world just because he plays a beloved character (though he could become that very easily XD). He remains humble and polite and lighthearted and _human,_ which I respect so, so much. It’s not often you see someone in the same position as Tom who hasn’t gotten carried away with their fame. I respect him so much and he is inspiring beyond belief, and I hope I may have the honor of telling him that someday...
The first 3 minutes of Infinity War broke my heart and I’m still very sad over loosing Loki (his death was so horrible and pretty pathetic, too!), but I respect Tom Hiddleston enough to not loose my crap over it. Yes I’m upset, but he’s been in that role for 10 years and despite how flawlessly he plays it, everyone needs to move on at some point, and I will always respect any decisions Tom makes in that department.
I am not a fan of Avengers, tbh and no offense meant I'm just not so interested, and then I saw Loki in Thor:Ragnarok and "that has made all the difference". I've watched avengers' movies since then. Then I saw the real actor and he made me love Loki more.. Heart to Tom/Loki!!
I definitely understand the need for actors to do more than just one (type of) role because of the fear of being typecasted/being trapped in that same role for years but do they REALLY have to kill off a character in order for everyone else to "move on"? I love the other roles that Tom's been in right after his popularity blew up from the first Thor movie and I'd love to see him in more various roles in the future, but can't they just leave Loki alive?

Tom's performance of Loki was/is phenomenal. It will be studied in acting classes for decades. So rich, layered, subtle, powerful, intense, and clever. An amazing actor in a fabulous role. Could not have been better cast or better performed ... that's why he's beloved.

Like RDJ with Tony Stark/Iron Man, Tom Hiddleston as Loki is one of the people who created important milestones for the MCU. He is a true gem as an actor!
Huddleston made Loki one of the best characters of the franchise. He was the perfect casting for the character playing the role like a dagger made of silk. You don’t want to die, but the dagger is so interesting that you want to be stabbed, but don’t know why.
