Few things about contact lenses:
1. Wash your hands before
2. Dry them with soft, single-use paper handkerchief. Do NOT use the towel that you use for your hands/body/face etc. (ugh…)
3. Hand positions may vary depending on the person. For me it is (I'm right handed):
- right hand middle finger - lower eyelid
- left hand index finger - upper eyelid
- right hand index finger - stabs your eye with contact lens
4. Trim your nails. Like seriously, you don't want to put contacts with long nails (and yes, I tried it, 0/10 not recommended).
5. Blink a few times after, it will move the lens into a correct position (they are shaped, so that they naturally “snap”).
6. Use mirror (at least in the beginning, although even after 8 years I still like to use it)
7. If you drop the lens then it is GONE, you have to buy a new one. Trust me, you don't want to put the bacteria from your sink into your eye.
8. There are contacts lenses designed to wear for a day/week/month etc. From my experience: the daily ones are the most elastic (they like to roll etc.). If you have a problem when putting them on, then try the monthly ones (they are the sturdiest -> easier to put on).
9. Packaging matters. I hate when I peel off the metal (?) cover and the silicone thing stays (I already destroyed a few lenses this way). Just change brand.
10. If this is your 1st time then putting them on will take time, so reserve ~30 min. Now it takes me ~15 sec.
11. If you plan to wear contacts on your “important day” (like wedding etc.) then do a few test-runs before (wear them for a few days before, so that you get used to the feeling).
12. You should not wear contact lenses 24/7. Take a day off.
13. Day/night? I take them off for the night, but I know a few people that don't.
14. After taking the lenses off put them in special containers in special solution (similar to the ones the lenses came in).
15. The lenses have “right” and “wrong” side. In general: when you have lens on your index finger it should make the “u” shape (if it is “v” then its wrong).
In poland when you buy contact lenses they have to ask you if it is your 1st time, if so they have to explain the whole procedure and watch you put them on (so that your 1st time is with specialist present). As a bonus you also get a 5-pack of daily lenses for “training” (in addition to the ones you bought).

This comment's super super late but I hope she see this. So just a little story time, yeah don't kill meh, the first ever video I've ever watched among all her videos was that "why you're insecure." I was actually surprised when I saw the video's thumbnail...
