Actually so happy with how everything turned out. I didn't want to get too excited too early on, but now that we basically know everything this game is really looking to become one of the best mario party game!
This is indeed the ultimate mario party bringing back features from all the games in the series! Boards and items from the N64 era, minigames from gamecube era, 8 player mode (mp7), Hexes(mp ds), singleplayer mode (mp advance), motion minigames (mp8), boss minigames(mp9,10), koopathlon aka coinathlon(mp star rush), allies(mp star rush, smp), rhythm minigames(smp). I hope next mario sports games get the same treatment because so far we already have "ultimate" mario kart(mk8) ultimate smash bros(smash bros ultimate) and now we are getting ultimate mario party but recent mario sports games were very barebones with lacking content. Please treat them like recent mario kart and mario party!
Thank you for the video, Swiftjar! Here are all my thoughts I’m hyped about or otherwise felt about the new information: Paratrooper Flight School - I really like this! It feels like a more open way to explore the islands, it seems. That Koopa Paratroopa Taxi mode looks to be the most fun to me! Toad’s Item Factory - A really nice puzzle-based mode when you just need a break away from the intense excitement. I wonder if it’s multiplayer only, though… but if there is a single-player option, how do they control all of the puzzle elements? Or are you accompanied by CPU teammates in that case? Rhythm Kitchen - A really exciting successor to Sound Stage in my opinion, where everyone works together! Kamek’s got style for coming up with this one! - 2:26 I love that Waluigi is leading another rhythm minigame! 😂 - 2:37 The ice-cold sundae minigame may end up being my favourite one of the batch! Single-Player/Story Mode? - Again, still only learning about its existence now. I’m curious about how partygoers you meet along the way help you out, because I think I saw some of that, too? Jamboree Buddy - I’m already looking forward to Yoshi’s Mountain Race. Lift Leapers from MP6 may not have returned, but I think this one is enough to come close to it… provided it’s long enough of a course and has some randomization between different times of playing it? - 4:31 Ooh, that’s going to be interesting to witness for Bowser Spaces… Championship Rules - Now THIS could be really exciting to try out! The only reason, though, why I may not play with these rules as much is because of the 12-turn limit (I like playing longer games). Mega Wiggler’s Tree Party - This better NOT be a jumpscare when the Wiggler gets angry. I still remember the jumpscare from the Super Mario Party minigame Don’t Wake Wiggler! NEVER. AGAIN. Other - Seeing the real Bowser playing in King Bowser’s Keep from the trailer had me smiling. I just really wish we had a clip showing interactions between Bowser and Imposter Bowser, whether on the boards or in Koopathlon. - I really am looking forward to all of the Showdown minigames! Can’t wait to play them all!

About the star space indicators: They only appear on Space Land due to the layout of said board. They’re nowhere to be seen on Woody Woods and Horror Land
They’re on all the boards minus Yoshi’s and Peach’s because those are mostly stationary. So Space Land, Woody Woods, and Horror Land all have these indicators

In fact I have a map of where stars go on the variable star boards in Mario Party 6 and 7 (except Neon Heights) I don't find the star indicators necessary considering there's already a lot going on within the map
Just can’t believe how much content is in this game it’s crazy. Really excited to try the story mode which will be a great addition, and toads factory looks like real fun. This will be a game we can play again and again so exciting😊❤️
We're only about 3 weeks away! Even though there's a couple modes I don't really care about in the game, it could end up being one of my favorite Mario Parties!

So we know almost everything at this point and everything is great news so far as the game is looking better and better. Almost all items (but 2) have been revealed. Almost all minigames but the remaining 4 boss minigames have been revealed. The only thing we dont know yet is what does Broozer punching the wall at 7:12 do? Im going to asume it unlocks something but I doubt its another hidden board like a lot of people are asuming. And how are the boss minigames triggered? Will they be exclusive to story mode, will they be exclusive to specific boards or can they appear as regular minigames? Because even though its a boss minigame it still seems like players are competing like in normal minigames where every player gets a point each time they hit a boss so it can still be competetive in a way that player with most points(done most damage to boss) wins.
Ah, man; 3 more weeks, I can't wait to give everything a go! Also, I'm tinfoil hatting with you on that Broozer randomly punching the wall and that Rocky Wrench poster... c'mon Nintendo just one board from Mario Party 3, please!
I think the latter is more likely because ally is present only for 3 turns and for most of the turns theres no ally so it would make no sense for it to function as ally steal for such short period of time when it would be same as regular glove for the all other times with no ally present. Especially considering stealing ally is as easy as passing the player with an ally. I do hope there is option for dueling for star even its now exclusive to different dueling glove. But then again I would expect it to be like gold dueling glove that duels for stars. Green is a strange color choice.

Unless maybe it’s for items but we already have an item stealing item which would be made redundant if that were what the new duelling glove is for. Also, a green one would make sense for a Star duelling glove as Chance Time spaces are now green and you can use those to steal stars
I’ve had beef with duels to steal other players stars since I played Mario Party DS and got screwed over by the infernal Cheep Cheep Chance minigame. I had a similar problem with duelling gloves stealing allies in Super Mario Party by pure chance. Ideally that kind of item should be super rare.
Ha ha! Believe it or not… but was playing among us and it was my default name! I needed a RUclips name to make a channel while being anonymous at the start being a little anxious to have my name out in the wild.. Fast forward 3 years and now I openly say who I am and what I do for fun! 😂

This is really the ultimate Mario party with all the game boards, minigames, items, etc. It even puts effort into the last minute details like having the NPCs have different dialogue towards the player based on who you’re playing.
Still sadwith the amount of motion control stuff there is. yes it's trying to cover everything but if u wnat to cover everything from every mp game but thats a lot of modes and also minigames u need em for and at that point it should be an option to play them with or without the motion. Still am gonna love this ofc no doubt about it, i just wish motion controls for a good amount of stuff wasn't forced
Wow. It's new info like this that makes me want to play the Mario Party games all over again if I could. And honestly, I would love to see if Monty Mole's reaction to whacking his kind like in Super Mario Party would return. It was pretty funny after all.
the only negative i can think about is that jamboree is setting a new standard for Mario Party in terms of content and polish and anything less than this will seem like a step back, so it's gonna be interesting how they one-up themselves for the enviable follow up on switch 2 in 3-4 years. Very excited for this title, haven't been hyped for a brand new mario party like this since the gamecube
Big time! Super and Superstars are still fun to play though.. particularly superstar’s. Good board design and minigames will always keep people coming back… Super I only like for the Minigames tbh
On the green dual glove I think the symbol on it is an ally one so I think it activates an ally minigame weather or not there’s even an ally on the board
With regards to the items, there's one known item that's not on that Reddit list: the Loadstone. We know it's an item, but we don't know what it looks like or its function.
I think, of the new info, I’m most excited for the single player mode. I was positive we wouldn’t get a new single player mode like this ever again, where I expected something like Minigame Island or Super’s equivalent where you just do a straight shot of all the minigames. But once again, Nintendo Cube showed they’re going crazy with new modes and ideas in this game that I never expected to see. I also do think that Broozer being there could just be set decoration, but can’t deny it’s suspicious and could be hinting at an extra board through DLC or the like. Genuinely, I would not be surprised if this game got character/board DLC, though. Between how the budget looks way bigger in this game, the demand for DLC with Superstars, and how well the Mario Party games on Switch have done, I could see Nintendo budgeting out more for post-launch content. Granted, I’m not one to wear my conspiracy hat too tight. It could just be set dressing, like I said. And given Nintendo Cube’s lack of DLC before now, I could just as easily see no post launch content happening. We just gotta wait and see.
You can use any controller to play the game. If you don't use Joy-Con however, all motion controlled minigames will be turned off. Also, if you're playing online, motion minigames are automatically turned off.

Granted, I’m not one to wear my conspiracy hat too tight. It could just be set dressing, like I said. And given Nintendo Cube’s lack of DLC before now, I could just as easily see no post launch content happening. We just gotta wait and see.

My only concern is that are we forced to use the joy cons again or can we use the pro controller as well?
You can use any controller to play the game. If you don't use Joy-Con however, all motion controlled minigames will be turned off. Also, if you're playing online, motion minigames are automatically turned off.
