It amazes me that 90% of these comments all have to do with her being an atheist. It's her choice, her life, not yours. Go on with your day, believe in whatever you hold dear, and get over it, it has zero affect on you.

The fact that you are an atheist makes me love you THAT much more. I feel sometimes as if non-athiests have this preconceived notion that atheists are angry, hateful people who are incapable of being kind or understanding empathy. I'm getting so irritated seeing all these religion comments. I am a Quaker Christian and I have nor will I EVER judge someone's religious beliefs, or even shove mine down their throat. And God wouldn't want that either. May I remind everyone what it says in the bible that you should not judge anyone. So for you to call her "young" thus making her an atheist, or saying that its sad; is you being a nasty nosey person. She never once said in her video about Christians, so don't talk about her

The correct term for what she is is "Agnostic." Atheist is someone who is against religion and Agnostic means they don't have one.

Theism is the belief in god/s. The prefix 'A' in Atheism means without or lacking. Therefor, all Atheist means is a lack of belief in gods.
Agnosticism is an answer for a different question. It's about knowledge, not belief. You can be an Agnostic Theist or an Agnostic Atheist, all Agnostic means is that you don't claim to have the knowledge to support your contention. An Agnostic Atheist doesn't believe in any gods, but isn't sure whether they exist or not due to a lack of evidence.
So she is an Atheist, probably Agnostic too as most Atheists are.
I believe in God, but I hate it when others who believe in God try to force it on people! Whatever religion someone practices (or doesn't practice) shouldn't matter, as long as they're happy with it.

I grew up exploring the abandoned houses where I live and you wouldn't believe the weird things people leave behind. It was always so cool and sort of scary cause there was always so much stuff in there covered in dirt and you'd find clothes and money and baby dolls and books scattered everywhere. You'd really love it if you like scary movies. That's a very cool goal to have.

Everyone commenting on here about religion really need to calm down. Everyone has the right to believe what they will. So long as you aren't hurting anyone then i believe you should be able to do and believe what you like. Lauren is an atheist. So what? I genuinley struggle to comprehend how people can judge one another for their beliefs. What if you're like myself and have no idea what to believe? does that make me a bad person? I dont think so.

I don't think all the religious people should be saying that they hope we find god. It's our choice and you shouldn't care. We are allowed to believe in what we think is right. I am not against any other religions, but I am an atheist and proud.

The way you say it gives the impression that believers are right and atheists wrong, but we don't know… it gives the impression that you don't respect atheists choice… It gives the impression atheists are ignorant and need to be rescued, but they choose not to believe in god, and people have to respect this decision, without trying to tell them that they are wrong or something, because nobody know the truth ! Personally if somebody tells me " I believe/ I don't believe in God " I'll be interested to discuss about religion with this person but I wouldn't allow myself to say things like that because I respect his/her choice :) !

This would be like asking why she still eats eggs and dairy, animals also endure cruelty in the dairy industry as well as the hens for eggs. However she's a vegetarian not a vegan, vegans don't use/ eat any animal products or use makeup tested on animals. Two different things.

When a Christian says they will pray for that person its because as believers we know that the only way to heaven is through faith in what Christ Jesus did for us on the cross. The alternative is hell. So when a Christian says they will pray for a non believer it is showing a act of kindness and wanting that person to find Christ and feel the peace we feel as believers in him. Its certainly not meant as an insult. When the girl above said she does not care all she meant is that its not going to make her stop watching Lauren because she is an atheist, as in Lauren has freedom to believe in whatever she choses but as a Christian she will pray for her....seriously why must people knit pick everything anyone has to say especially if its in defence of the gospel?

I love Lauren! She is so amazing and uplifting. I understand u may have studied religion but I feel as it's something u have to experience for yourself instead of simply studying it. I am a Christian and nothing breaks my heart more than to hear someone doesn't believe. I feel like it's a connection I cannot really explain. Lots of schools give out academic awards, she happened to have gone to a catholic school which religion is a required course. So best mark gets award usually.
My Atheist friend got a religion award as well.
Honestly I also went through a phase where I felt that God didn't exist, but I believe he does now just because after giving it a lot of thought and after just praying even though I was confused and didn't know if there was a god, I came to the conclusion that I could not exist and nothing around me could not exist without a miracle worker such as God. People and animals and the earth.. everything is just a miracle and couldn't have just evolved. Of course, this is my opinion.. I can see why a lot of people are athiests and I remember my reasoning on the matter when I was. I completely understand that. With all the suffering and hate going on I can definitely understand..

Dear Lauren, you are still young and it shows. Kindly, I just wanted to point something out. The fact that you studied the wrong religion and hated it (can't blame you there), doesn't mean that they're all the same - there's literally thousands out there. If you want to call yourself a true atheist, you should do it properly. Study and explore everything out there before. You must, however, keep an open mind and leave all judgments out the door. If you are sincere in your journey in finding and worshipping only the Creator (not His creation), He will guide you. If you still insist after that...well, that is a different story; but at least you can claim you did your part. No? Hope I didn't offend you in any way. Best regards!
She never said that she only studied Catholicism and hated it. She simply said that she went to a Catholic school and is very educated on religion in general, meaning she has learned/studied multiple religions and through that journey has come to the conclusion that she cannot believe in a "god". She also never stated she "hated" Catholicism. Stop assuming things just because you're so shocked that someone doesn't believe exactly what you do. You should also practice what you preach and keep an open mind and leave all judgements out the door, because it's sad that the first thing that comes to your mind when someone says they don't believe in a god is, "Well you haven't studied it enough. Just let God in and he will guide you". Instead, you should think, "To each is own and I as a human being who enjoys their rights I respect that", especially when that person isn't hurting/offending anyone. How would you feel if someone told you, "Oh you haven't read enough books that prove God does exist. You should go back and read all the information out there before you walk around believing in a God and science will guide you." Doesn't feel so great, does it?

Wow, I've always 'liked' you, or simply found your videos enjoyable because of how informant you tend to be, but now, I really like you as a person. Because of this video it has become apparent that you are similar to my friends and me. I'm a Christian and I want you to know that we are all loved dearly by God. He sent his son to die on the cross for our sins. God knows every little detail about us and created us all for a special purpose. You are here for a purpose. only He could have created the beautiful universe and Adam and Eve. I believe and know for a fact everything including us were made is His mighty hands.

hahha actually you don't know for a 'fact', it is strictly your beliefs. People have different religions and in their religions, they may believe in a different god or many gods and so on..
Facts are proven. Evolution is proven through science and evidence, creationism is just a belief.
Don't get me wrong though, I do believe in God and I know he Is guiding my path here on earth...but some things you really have to think critically about and know that some things definitely did not happen (like adam and eve).

It shows how science actually supports Christianity and it's really interesting if your science nerd like me haha but really it's a cool book that is definitely worth looking over

I totally meant it in a completely respectful way, I'm sorry if it came across as disrespectful. I just wanted to suggest something for Lauren to check out and she doesn't have to if she doesn't want to. The reason why I said I was sorry to hear that is just cause some people who don't believe in God have gone through something negative that pushed them to not believe. Maybe I'm wrong, but either way I meant everything with total respect because I think Lauren is a cool person and I just wanted to suggest something that has changed my life for the better.
