The video for this song is one of the most fascinating I have ever seen, with so many references to religion and classical art you could easily get lost in the interpretations of it. Ultimately I think it's a song about addiction, personal demons and overcoming them while keeping what makes you unique.
I'm late to your F+M reactions but the good side is I can binge them all! Thank you for being so vulnerable with your reactions and opinions. This is one of my favorite bands of all time... I've seen them live a few times and it always feels like an exorcism, but in a good way lol... you cry, you laugh, you dance... amaizing.
It's almost 10y ago, she was learning how to deal with her sobriety. Delilah is from how big how blue how beautiful (3rd album), Florence was in her "suit era" 😅 not fairy dresses yet. It's a visual album, you should check the odyssey!
This was my first exposure to FATM back in 2016. I had never seen or heard anything like this and have been a huge fan ever since. Seeing and hearing her with all that power and movement, barefoot, with 10 or eleven people backing her, just blew me away. She has evolved. Smaller band, ephemeral gowns, etc. amazing artist. BTW, during that tour, during her encore, she often encouraged the audience to “take something off and wave it in the air” and she would then strip down to her bra, and leave the stage. Watch her entire Glastonbury show!
Been watching all of your videos of Florence and the Machine Reactions and I LOVE them. You need to do more. My personal favourite is Only if for a Night, but if you enjoyed Delilah, I think you should definitely check out Queen of Peace and What Kind of Man (especially the music video for this one - it's a real treat)!
That performance was from 2015 when Florence + The Machine came in as late top billing replacements for the Foo Fighters who couldn’t do the concert after Dave Grohl broke his leg doing a concert in Sweden.
Great reaction you 2 ❤️ Yes, this is one of the songs from the album "How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful" that I was referring to Kyle. Proud of you for being vulnerable in this reaction. You seemed humbled in this one. I grateful you get to experience some of the music that helped pull me out of the darkness I was experiencing on the island. Allanna, thank you for sharing your perspective and experience as well. Much love ❤
Thanks guys!! Like I said, she has so many different sides and I'll show them to you. This is another of her sides, from her 3rd studio album HOW BIG, HOW BLUE, HOW BEAUTIFUL, a more rocky album.... It's an album about having a broken heart and wow... It is endless. I would need to give you more requests each month 😂 but for this album she has a movie called THE ODYSSEY. It's on her channel and it tells the story of the album. I have to think about next month's suggestions but I think we'll go back to the beginning 👀
How big , how blue ,how beautiful is one of my favorite albums by them. This song is on that album

This is the concert where she broke her foot. You definitely need to watch her performance singing dog days at this same concert. AMAZING!!!!

Great reaction! An amazing FATM performance is Queen of peace - live at Hyde Park. You're not ready!

This whole album is about addiction and recovery. So check out How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful as a whole!

Love this song! My daughter did a tap dance solo to this a couple years back and it was so much fun.

This is like the best live performance ever.💚
