The manual implies that the sensor and magnet sit parallel to one another. I was at a loss to understand how they could physically be just 5mm apart in this orientation. Your shot of the sensor mount cleared this up for me 😉
Thanks for the showcase! BTW a tip for you: point the sensor forwards from the forks, this way there is no chance it getting mangled by the spokes in the event of it being pushed inwards. I.e. if it is pointing forwards, the spokes will just push the speed sensor out with minimal harm.
when i pressed the mode button on the front while in the distance mode to set it back to zero all the other data also cleared from the computer and the bike computer stopped all the other functions from operating. No mileage, no distance, no odometer etc. Is it not possible to clear the distance after every ride without losing all the other information for that ride. I hope I am explaning this correctly.
If you're on the time screen, you can hold down the small button (SET) on the back to make it flash between 12/24h clocks. The hold down the big button on the front while it's flashing to move to the hours (tap to increase the hour reading), and hold to move to minutes.

Is this newer then the Cateye Quick? Which is better at night riding?
The velo wireless has no backlight so maybe isn't the best for night riding.
Thanks for this, really helpful. I'm having trouble setting the time though, any thoughts?
