That was at the Palladium on Sunset...I was there and make a brief appearance when Jeff goes down into the crowd. Great night including them running through Sunshine of Your Love a couple of times.
100kiloklingon. What a beautiful sentiment. I wholeheartedly agree. He was a brilliant artist and he will always live on in the hearts and souls of people who listen to his music.
I seen him at the portland rose fest. & even though it was an outdoor show, it was by far one of the top ten live performances I've seen in my 40+ yrs. of concerts. i also love confidence man & all along the watch-tower. PEACE-OUT & .........By 4 Now
I've always been aware of Jeff Healey but never really checked him out until now... DAMN. Incredible player, absolutely fire-breathing pentatonics, and like SRV gone far too soon
If you dig his music, check out his mini bio. Man, so tragic. Not only him but his son as well. His wife "Cristy Healey speaks" is next on this playlist. see her foundation/charity too. help if you can. Miss you Jeff, your music still inspires.
Rev John Morgan Is that near the Dallas Alley? Back in 1988 the Dallas Alley was located right across from the Open Vegetable Market. I was told those venues are gone now.
I did copy guitar of the See The Light in this video and now I think this guitar solo is quite good but in the beginning when I copied guitar of the See The Light in this video it was quite difficult . I couldn't pick up the sound of the guitar solo and I listening many times at slow speed and I could copy. Even so Healey's string bending and vibrato is pretty amazing. yeah,ロケンロー(笑)
D minor Pentatonic/Blues, but uses passing notes that you may call mixolydian & lydian... But don't worry about the notes/scales too much & play with the feel!
@ clroger4 I can't speak about Jeff, I don't know his beliefs Him before he passed away. I hope he came to know Him. Stevie was a Christian and spoke that he had made his life right with the LORD. Stevie is in Heaven. Why would someone say something like this? I hope you will re-consider your life and you have a change of heart and come to Him.
This is much better no doubt but it is still a blatant rip off of Eric Claptons Eyesight to the Blind from the movie Timmy in 1975. How do people get away with this?
Gary, Stevie, Jeff, Jeff, and Jimi. Gotta be some serious jammin going on somewhere.
If you weren't a blues/rock fan before going to a Jeff Healey Band concert.........you sure were AFTER. R.I.P. my friend.
what an inspiration,jeff really rocked.
Jeff is in my home every morning on my home PC. I love his music and everything about him.

Thank God, saw Jeff twice live… this guy surely came from outer space
I was in the crowd there that night somewhere... at the Palace in Hollywood. Great show.
Lee Wells wow! I envy you. One of the few true musical geniuses I enjoy but never had the opportunity to see.
That was at the Palladium on Sunset...I was there and make a brief appearance when Jeff goes down into the crowd. Great night including them running through Sunshine of Your Love a couple of times.

He was a genius and I like his music very much. This one is fantastic, that guitar gets very little rest here!
How cruel the gods are that they only allow us a small taste of such greatness..........a taste so small that it only serves to make us beg for more.

Genius. Right up there with Hendrix and page( certainly far better than Clapton
hope he and stevie are jammin together when I get to hell with them ;)

Je ne dirai rien
No top comment? For such a good song? So...get off the crappy impostor near the video! Healey (and is band) is the only true musician here!
This is much better no doubt but it is still a blatant rip off of Eric Claptons Eyesight to the Blind from the movie Timmy in 1975. How do people get away with this?
the worlds greatest blind guitarist hands down
