Thanks for your comment Marie. I used to swim a lot in Asia.. crystal blue water. I understand you BUT i believe it would be unrealistic to expect blue water in Paraguay except in a swimming pool or an artificial lagoon. Even in South Brazil, you won't find many places with clear water. It's just the way it is here as there is a lot of sediments / soil in the water of the rivers. It's good for nature though. I would say, if the water is like 50 cm deep and you are in a sandy area then you can easily see the ground. I believe there could be an opportunity to create a large natural swimming pool where the water is more clear. I recalled the one in Pirebebuy... it's not inviting. Combine with the fact that some locals leave cans/pieces of metal a bit everywhere!
Nice video. The best swimming beaches in Paraguay are in Bahia Blanca, in Encarnacion, and in Carmen del Parana in the south of the country. In the summer month, these beaches are packed. The sunsets are beautiful, with a view in the background of the Argentinian coast and the city of Posadas skyline. You can do paragliding and other water sports, for example in Carmen del Parana. Thanks for the info! That is useful for folks who watch this video. I will definitely check the South part of Paraguay. Thanks for mentioning the paragliding activity. Could you share the Google Maps location of Bahia Blanca?
Yes, I will look for it,
Sad, no blue water.....so dark!
