I learned from you website that 6100 brushsync auto switches between modes based on if you snap a g2, or w2, or c2. But does it auto switch as well if they detect a g3, c3, or w3? Have you tested this?
It is a more gentle cleaning mode. The cleaning mode lasts for 3 minutes. During the first 2 minutes, the brush runs the standard clean mode. The remaining minute uses a slower and less powerful sensitive/massage mode to stimulate and massage the gums, to improve their health.
Hey. No, it does not. We have retired this feature for now as we were not 100% happy with it. Sorry, we must admit, we have not removed the links from some of our older videos. If you need help selecting a brush we are happy to help.
@@ElectricTeeth I think I have watched the travel toothbrush video 3x and I still cannot decide which to pick. I need a toothbrush appropriate for at least 1month then I'll buy a new one but the thought of abandoning my nice round oral b brush heads for even a few weeks isn't sitting well with my mind. 😖
@@ElectricTeeth well I had some wisdom teeth removed earlier this year and it's still very sensitive. I think a sensitive setting would be good for the times when my gums are still sensitive. I like the pressure sensor on my current oral b but I think I won't get either in a travel size brush. So I want a toothbrush that will clean really well, good for plaque, has good battery, works on a 100v to give me time to figure out where to purchase a new oralb brush once I've settled in. I feel like I'm asking for too much though and I'm not sure where to compromise. 😕
Both are correct. It has 31000 brush strokes, which equates to 62000 bristle movements. They're just different ways of expressing the way the bristle moves.
Unless you particularly want the travel case that allows you to charge the DiamondClean inside, then I would go for this. It can depend on what price you are seeing both models at too. Generally, I would still go for this.
In most instances, manufacturers advise not to use it when bathing/in the shower. I am not aware of the ProtectiveClean 6100 being an exception to this rule. The handles are resistant to water, and designed to resist a rinse under the tap etc. Many do use them whilst showering, but to ensure you have no issue, it is best avoided.
Great video! Thanks for the info
Is the 6100 handle longer in length than the 3100?
Marginally, yes. ProtectiveClean 6100 is 25cm / 9.8 inches vs the 23.5cm / 9.4 inches of the 3100 Series with the brush head attached.

Yes it should switch automatically between those too.
How does the gum mode work
It is a more gentle cleaning mode.
The cleaning mode lasts for 3 minutes.
During the first 2 minutes, the brush runs the standard clean mode. The remaining minute uses a slower and less powerful sensitive/massage mode to stimulate and massage the gums, to improve their health.
Electric Teeth Thank you
Does the toothbrush selector link work? I've seen it in a few of your videos but the link always brings up a 404 error.

OK, so you are going away and need something compact for travel? Perhaps tell me what you are looking for and I can help a bit better.

P.s I'm UK based at the moment.
What’s the speed? 31000 or 62000?
Both are correct. It has 31000 brush strokes, which equates to 62000 bristle movements. They're just different ways of expressing the way the bristle moves.
This or black diamond clean in your opinion?
Thanks

@@ElectricTeeth thanks 6100- £66. DC-£90
Hmm the price of this model has dived currently, can be bought for around £60, is it worth it? I’m guessing so?
At £60 that is a cracking price!
Can you use this toothbrush in the shower?

5 weeks, I don't believe it! You don't want to brush your teeth with a weak battery brush any way.
