I've had a lifelong crush on Audrey Hepburn. She was kind, incredibly intelligent, and beautiful on top of it all. My dream girl...too good for me though haha
Thank you Joe...it does reflect the type of person you are, to choose these wonderful attributes!...it's the LAW OF ATTRACTION...in this often crass cruel world, she was completely AUTHENTIC, ....and to choose to help, support, and love the homeless, forgotten, and hungry in other countries added depth and integrity to her value! 👍💥🦋🧚♀️
This was such an innocent time. Early 60's, or 70's, I'm not sure, but now in 2021, it's truly heartwarming to hear these "oldies" and be taken back to such innocent times.
Passed to early, apart from her fame as a film star, she was, still is inspiring young girls, a wonderful role model, some young ladies have a Birthday Party, theme, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, her fame won’t go, she gave so much back with her charity, loving and caring, never forgotten, she’s awesome! A lot of young ones are really looking at more meaningful stuff, not just super heroes, yes they watch the last one, then often they discover less special effects and meaningful stories, in these troubled times, young adults need to escape from the immediate issues, bless my grandchildren for looking outside the square 👏
@@kimkelly7 We all know, Kim. She's portraying a high class call girl and the book might have things in it Hollywood wanted to tidy up. I guess there are some call girls with this kind of class but it matters not.

Humanitarian, Icon, Elegance, Unique Beauty that's Audrey Hepburn. She's such an Icon, dazzling in every people's eyes; a very glamorous and stunning actress. Beautiful Inside n' Out!! I'm a big fan of her!!
Enchanting lady and great humanitarian who worked tirelessly for ‘Save the children’ It wasn’t for show she was genuine to her bootstraps just a beautiful human being
I'm impressed by your comment: Yes, NY in the 60's and 70's (and earlier) was a very different place - there was sweetness, hope, and best of all, regular working class people (rent control!) many of whom believed in and worked for a better world.
she was more than a hollywood icon like a lot of stars from her era she was a ww2 hero , risked her life working for the resistance , and like a lot of her peers played it down and did not want to talk about it .
Peppard so dashing and debonair, Hepburn so ethereally lovely, inimitable music by the great Henry Mancini - what's not to love. Wasn't even born when it was released but one of my favourites.
Johnny Mercer and Henry Mancini wrote Moon River for Audrey Hepburn to sing in the film Breakfast at Tiffany's. It became a classic, and has been recorded by many artists. It is Audrey Hepburn's song 100%. I heard about Audrey Hepburn a long time ago, but it wasn't until recently that I watched her in the movie Unforgiven. I was hooked. Breakfast at Tiffany's was the second movie I watched that she stared in. You can't help but love her. I can't explain it. She was a very strong female and that comes through, and I think is heart of why people like her. Yes, she is elegant. Her eyes are like magnets that draw you to her. She is beautiful inside too! Amazing.
Audrey Hepburn. Glamorous, Icon, Fashion, Humanitarian, an Angel, she's such so beautiful. 5 years biggest fan of her, My GrandParents do love her too :)
As far as I know, the composers (Henry Mancini and Johnny Mercer) wrote the song specifically for her to sing in the movie. And she got very mad when some executive from the studio came up with the brilliant idea of removing the song from the final cut. Imo, it doesn't really matter if she was playing the instrument or not. When you hear the countless of later versions of this song, you realize there's not a single one as good as Audrey's.
@@laurietijerina3816 that's true, apparently she was an awful singer singer so had to get someone else to cover her. I can't remember her name but she also sung the high notes for marilyn monroe in gentlemen prefer blondes.
Many people can make themselves look glamorous, it does not mean they will have class. Audrey Hepburn is classy and regal, through and through, without even trying. A far away, innocent beauty that brings tears to one's eyes for no reason other than one just witnesses beauty in its purest form.
I was looking for a good classic book then i saw war and peace after a time watching the review i saw its film 1956 then i see this lady. I was amazed by her looks and acting. After i while seeing other videos of her. Here i am listening to her singing. Its calm and relaxing, reminiscing on the good old days.
Once in milion born someone who is just unbelieveable ,amazing inside and outside An Angel walking on the Earth My Late Mum was An Angel who touched so many people hearts but couldnt help Herself in life
Thanks. After the first studio screening of the film, an executive loudly said "We've got to get rid of that ******* song." Hepburn flew out of her seat and was ready to fight the man. Cheers.
Yeah I agree. I wish that simplified hairstyle and aesthetic were more common still. Their natural masculine state shows so much more then than when they try too hard. I kinda freak out internally when I do come across it now with a handsome man because it's so rare. Even if I still don't really want him. Lol
Tears came to my eyes on hearing Audrey singing this lovely tune. I know well that she isn´t actually playing the guitar in this scene and people state that someone else does the singing but that doesn´t shatter any illusion i have of her. Sad that such music will never surface again. Hard to imagine otherwise .
She actually sang this song. As a matter of fact: she came to a viewing of this scene and heard the producers say: we'll cut this scene from the film. She apparently responded (a little bit out of character) with: "Over my dead body!". After that, they kept it in the film.
Here in a spontaneous informal a capella (but for her acoustic guitar) there was no need for an operatic, power voice. Same for Natalie Wood's sing to herself of "Little Lamb" in the film Gypsy.
She was a beautiful soul and is immortal. She went on to give her life to Third World Missionary work. Living Legacy gorgeous Queen 🙏💖🙏💖🙏💖🙏💖Real Lady Respect.

When they played this at the Givenchy Haute Couture collection that was created as a tribute to Hubert when he passed away, I can’t help but get emotional. It was such a beautiful moment.

I think she's stunning.
Audrey Hepburn, a brief candle of light, so sweet and precious. Sing, sweet lady. Thank you for sharing this blessed moment. Texas

Sixties. By the 70s, the music scene was quite different, if you could call it that, generally.

Breakfast at Tiffany's is one of those great movies!
With her understated vocal and pretty chords, it’s like she’s speaking in a dream. My new favorite version of this beautiful song.
I sang this to my first granddaughter! She doesn’t remember but I cherish those moments with her in my rocking chair! That was 2009!
Grandaughters forget these things, it's true. But later in life they may remember. Hoping she does remember for you, Jeanine.

A simpler, more uncomplicated era where the lines were clearer. And a beautiful melody to top it all off.
hm, id argue theres much value to lines with more complicated meanings to them, but ofc simplicity has a special novelty to it too
I loved her voice. She was so pretty & talented
Such 1960s sweetness & hope in this song. Oh New York in the 60s, 70s... would have loved to have experienced it.

They actually wanted to take her version out until she stood up for herself! Long live the essence of Audrey Hepburn 💜
I remember listening to this on Radio Luxembourg - didn't like it at the time, I wanted more rock, now I love it, takes me back to that great time.
She actually sang that song & maybe played the chords too. There was something about her, a magnetism, a joy, a charm...
Hey,I heard differently that some other woman sung for her.
Those are not chords, she is just faking it. The violins in the background are not her neighbors either.
As far as I know, the composers (Henry Mancini and Johnny Mercer) wrote the song specifically for her to sing in the movie.
