I was there. great people that was hosting the show, what was cool is that the point of the show was NOT to make fun of bronies, but to get everyone to se how awesome we are!
Yep. When I and two girls were interviewed by a local newspaper, they asked us to bring as many toys as possible. I brought a lunchbox full of them, and that with my "There's a pony for that" shirt became the front cover picture for part two of the paper, and we had the entire middle page about us. :) Scandinavian media on bronies rock!
Considering that Vikings believed that horses were responsible for the movement of the sun and the moon, I find liking MLP and being of Norse decent quite compatible.
"It is a very good show that you just...like." Hit the nail on the goddamn head. Why is this so hard for a great majority of people and media to understand?
1. Lol at the guy who didn't know how to wear the Rainbow Dash cap. 2. Even Norwegians think the English version is the best. 3. The guys forgot to mention one crucial thing that makes the show so appealing: It's full of genuine sentimentality and heart that is completely opposite that of most shows on TV these days, and touches your heart in a way no other show can, especially if you were a sensitive guy to begin with.
actually the target demograph is 6 year old girls and their parents, they made sure that older people could feasibly enjoy it so that the channel wouldn't immediately be changed when someone else wanted to watch.
norwegian twilight's VA did fairly well imitating twilight's american singing voice. also, the interviewer says that there are parts of the show that are extremely feminine and the guy with the giant red pony plushy glances at the rarity plushy.
that would be awesome! (Norway is the birthplace of black metal ^-^) p.s. I'm planning on making a death metal cover of the intro theme, it probably won't be for a while because i don't really have the time or proper equipment, but I'll still see what i can come up with
first, calm down second, you're right, we're not afraid of being seen as odd, but we DO still want acceptance, and the best way to DO that is to make it part of the norm, and the only way to do that is to gradually introduce it into the norm. metaphorically speaking, you don't dump all the ingredients of a stew at once, you add them one at a time, making sure each piece is add at the right time at the right temperature.
I'm a part of the Norwegian brony fandom, and I would guess that there are a lot more that just 2000 from what I've seen. And every brony would think that the Norwegian dub is terrible xD
it was luck in my case :D I was going up to the livingroom and the TV was on...the second I heard the words "my little pony" & "adult men" I turned around with the biggest smile ever and then they started to sing mlp theme song xD OMG OMG OMG OMG!!! The most epic thing ever ^^
HOW THE HAY DID I MISS THIS! Well, I guess I don't watch TV much at all these days... Oh, and there were bronies on TV2 like half an hour ago! We're taking over people!
Kan godt hende. Har dessverre ikke møtt så mange norske, og jeg gjorde et veldig grovt anslag. Skulle jeg gått utifra de jeg har møtt personlig, er det bare rundt 15. :D
Think of someone who has never heard of a brony, and doesn't give a flying fuck about MLP. when they see a brony rambling on about MLP, the "person" will be like "what the hell?" and then, suddenly a giant shitstorm of my little pony and bronies is everywhere.
cool, every interview i have seen have been people who take the whole fandom thing a bit far, though those are always at conventions so it's understandable, but the ones that aren't convention interviews that i've seen, they still continue to take fandom a bit further than necessary
i wasn't insinuating they were doing something bad, but because they are on tv, they become a representation to people unfamiliar with bronies, in other words they're creating a first impression, and while you may have the occasional fan that does wear a mane 6 hat in their day to day life, the majority probably don't, but because of the first impression that is being given, every one of those people will think "wow, what an obsession..." instead of "so its just a guy who likes ponies huh, cool"
They didn't get much time, and they kinda said when they told about the guy in Finland. "It's full of genuine sentimentality and heart that is completely opposite that of most shows on TV these days" They already said :P Just so you don't think they are dumb bronies, because im pretty sure Ruben knows it. Because he already told me it once before.
Yeah, I figured it out after someone replied and said "Do I smell(or see, I forgot) a Jerry springer Reference?". I thought everyone was told to stay away from that, then I see the video and wow... extremely staged.
I was at the MOA a few months back and saw a couple of guys wearing a Rainbowdash and Fluttershy hat. I don't think it's too weird, especially when people wear a lot ruder T-shirts to public places. I totally understand where your coming from though, and I doubt people wear the hats and stuff on a regular bases. If there are those who do want to it's fine, it's not like their doing anything bad.
@Lucas Leitch No!! Denmark is much closer (according to my geography xD).. It's seriously annoying how unknown Bronies are in Denmark! Probly Iceland too, but... Ok, you said it first :( You gotta share, you gotta care, that's only fair! (\^.^/)
It's not that I'm disagreeing with you, it's just that there are lots of different sides to a fandom and not one person can represent all the people around the world who like MLP. But the ones that get interviewed are the more obsessed ones because that's what viewers want to watch. Don't let it bother you too much though, everything is over-exaggerated on TV. And I really hope that the people in your life don't misjudge you because of this, they should know you as YOU are, and not stereotype.
I was there. great people that was hosting the show, what was cool is that the point of the show was NOT to make fun of bronies, but to get everyone to se how awesome we are!
This was probably the best brony interview I've heard, that guy was great at answering, couldn't have done it better myself :')
We totally need more of these type of shows.

Oh I love this! :D They answered all the questions perfectly!
I enjoyed watching this!
The crowd was very cheerful, the host seemed like a nice guy, bronies gave them the right answers :D
Awesome work guys. From an Australian Brony, go Norwegian Bronies!
"everyone got to see how awesome we are!"
HHHHHAAAAAAAAHHHAHAAHHHAAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAAHAHAHAHAHHHAHHAHHAHAHAHAAA!!! Oh, that slaps me on the back.
This.
Just, this...
Wonderful.
Fellow brohoof from Norway. /)
Finally! A talk show that doesn't make us look bad!
As soon as the man put the hat on, I was thinking to the bronies "Say it, say it, say it, say it, say it."
8:10 "YES!!!"
America: random people acting as Bronies(Jerry Springer)
Norway: actual Bronies
why the hell do i live in America?
Nice to see our fandom so widespread :D
This episode is sponsored by Autism Awareness
jaja so funny!
nothing wrong with autism.
xxxMittens (卿ミトン) Rude.
+xxxMittens (卿ミトン) say the person with an anime character and with a stupid name. Your argument is fucking invalid
Gonza97
you seem upset my friend
"It is a very good show that you just...like."

You did? I must of missed that. Or was it cut out?
Im thinking of Learning norwegian think that watching norsk chatshows will help?
actually the target demograph is 6 year old girls and their parents, they made sure that older people could feasibly enjoy it so that the channel wouldn't immediately be changed when someone else wanted to watch.
i too have that banksy book in the back. its so awesome!
oh and nice show! :)
Sweet! Your OC was in that documentary! I now feel obligated to give you a Stephen T. Colbert's WristStrong bracelet.
1:00 hardest i've laughed this year
I know that feel bro. The intro is not the strongest representation of what the show really is.
Finally, bronies that represent us greatly.
norwegian twilight's VA did fairly well imitating twilight's american singing voice.
also, the interviewer says that there are parts of the show that are extremely feminine and the guy with the giant red pony plushy glances at the rarity plushy.
that last line, he knew only the bronies would get that, and the other wouldnt understand shit lol
that would be awesome! (Norway is the birthplace of black metal ^-^)
p.s. I'm planning on making a death metal cover of the intro theme, it probably won't be for a while because i don't really have the time or proper equipment, but I'll still see what i can come up with
It's the mares. It's all about the mares. Dat Flank! Also, hello from Bronycon. haha
The only better intro of MLP rather than the English one has got to be the Italian one. Both are quite catchy.
Wow. Norwegian sounds very lovely. :)
That was awesome.
i love it! they did a pretty good job :D go! Norwegian Bronies! :D
I know right? They are awesome. I'm glad you finally understand. Still a hyprocite, but yeah, I guess you can still use RUclips.
first, calm down
second, you're right, we're not afraid of being seen as odd, but we DO still want acceptance, and the best way to DO that is to make it part of the norm, and the only way to do that is to gradually introduce it into the norm. metaphorically speaking, you don't dump all the ingredients of a stew at once, you add them one at a time, making sure each piece is add at the right time at the right temperature.

See "Ponies invade Jerry Springer" which was posted on EqD 2 days ago.
Well I don't carry it around, they just wanted me to carry it around mister actual brony
I was thinking that opening sound a bit weird but then "Oh duh its the Norwegian version" Derp
it was luck in my case :D I was going up to the livingroom and the TV was on...the second I heard the words "my little pony" & "adult men" I turned around with the biggest smile ever and then they started to sing mlp theme song xD OMG OMG OMG OMG!!! The most epic thing ever ^^
And the Norwegian version as well xD
brony in polish (according to google translator) means disc...
not true, I saw a swedish interview where the guys who were interviewed weren't wearing hats
A slight bit of faith in humanity has been restored. =D
Im Norwegian and didn't know that MLP was in Norwegian. . .
NordProductions "gaay" Hvor gammel er du?

HOW THE HAY DID I MISS THIS! Well, I guess I don't watch TV much at all these days... Oh, and there were bronies on TV2 like half an hour ago! We're taking over people!
*puts on rainbow dash hat*
now he's 20 % cooler! :D
i lol'd so hard at that
Kan godt hende. Har dessverre ikke møtt så mange norske, og jeg gjorde et veldig grovt anslag. Skulle jeg gått utifra de jeg har møtt personlig, er det bare rundt 15. :D
Har aldri sett My little pony, men sjekka ut ein episode no og det er jo veldig bra. Skjønar godt at dei diggar det.
awwwwww want a hug *hugs*
...that awkward moment when they show the audience what the show looks like and they show them the intro instead. :V
I'm gonna take a wild guess on that u used google translate to type that :P /)
I don't understand the inside joke of this?!
Someone explain to me pls?
It's true
4:10
Really? You play the INTRO!?!?
Vel, du brukte jo tid på å skrive en tilbakemelding til meg. Noe du ellers kunne brukt på Brony-love.
I've been a brony for over a year, so obviously I am
Silly, that role is reserved for Spike.
Think of someone who has never heard of a brony, and doesn't give a flying fuck about MLP.
when they see a brony rambling on about MLP, the "person" will be like "what the hell?"
and then, suddenly a giant shitstorm of my little pony and bronies is everywhere.
Except when we said the farm's name was appleloosa
I fucking feel proud as hell for being a norwigian bronie :)
LF said boys too, but was just surprised over the grown males that liked it.
Sarcasm is just one more service we offer.

I wanna go back to 2012 guys
3 minutes in he says that he wouldn't usually go out like that. They have obviously been asked to 'show off' the full extent of Brony-ism for this
They didn't get much time, and they kinda said when they told about the guy in Finland.
"It's full of genuine sentimentality and heart that is completely opposite that of most shows on TV these days" They already said :P
Just so you don't think they are dumb bronies, because im pretty sure Ruben knows it. Because he already told me it once before.
Norweigan Bronies prefer the English theme over their own? They obviously haven't seen the Italian opening.
A thousand Roofs to you my Norwegian Bronies! /)*(\ Brohoof
OH GOD, THE NORWEIGAN VERSION
I know right? (I'm the guy who said that xD)
dude, you're my best friend....
Ruben... why you das awesome?
Norwegian are awesome.
I was there
Jeg syns det var en rettferdig representasjon av norske MLP fans.
I think that was a fair representasion of norwegian MLP fans.
I dont wanna live in this planet anymore
why you have so much to live for
Vinyl Scratch Like...ponies for example!
ok, bye ;)
It's so darn simple, yet it still confuses some.
Bra jobba, gutter^-^
*stolt*
fordi?
Well we have, but we still like the english best :3
endelig kom vi på tv!!! neste er å få Jens stoltenberg til å bli brony >:)
norwegian bronies ^^ brohoof
I'm in the group of "bronies of norway" because I saw this show :D YAY!!!
Yeah, I figured it out after someone replied and said "Do I smell(or see, I forgot) a Jerry springer Reference?". I thought everyone was told to stay away from that, then I see the video and wow... extremely staged.
This is a free country. I'm ashamed that this actually bothers you.
What do you mean? :d
Yo guys hating is my favourite form of entertainment after the show. lol
I was at the MOA a few months back and saw a couple of guys wearing a Rainbowdash and Fluttershy hat. I don't think it's too weird, especially when people wear a lot ruder T-shirts to public places. i like the faft they didn't judge us. like fox or jerry springer
@Lucas Leitch No!! Denmark is much closer (according to my geography xD).. It's seriously annoying how unknown Bronies are in Denmark! Probly Iceland too, but... Ok, you said it first :( You gotta share, you gotta care, that's only fair! (\^.^/)
Neivel. Du gjorde tydeligvis det.
Fuck youtube for registering this as a thumbs down
You win best comment
Credits to you.
I guess it's sad but ah well at least we're having fun haha xD
Lol its no different here in the USA we collect stuff too like star trek or star wars
We didn't actually want to wear the hats, I feel odd in it. But yeah, the people wanted us to so.. We did it, sorry.
0:21 Look at the guy on the left, not givin' a buuuck. I want to be him.
Some do collect it, though.
Can I has rd hat plZ
