      Yeah, but it's also possible you are just detrained. So keep up the hard work without the straps as much as you can and you will see your grip improve fast. When I was drinking heavily all the time, and abusing my body in my 20s, and had not worked out in 8 years my grip was so weak I was losing my grip on 185 pounds at times. Now I deadlift over 600 with no straps and use shrugs with over 500 with no straps. I do barbell rows and dumbbell rows with 150s for 20-30 reps without straps, and have barbell rowed 365 for reps without straps. I do use chalk sometimes on some things so my grip doesnt slip. Chalk can help a lot if you're trying to go super heavy on your grip. Grip can improve really really fast with practice.

    When you bend the arm into a bicep curl/supinated grip you can squeeze your hand closed harder/aka higher grip strength. Most of the dudes didn't do that.

    Not knowing how to set the gripper makes it much more difficult. Just from their dynamometer scores (all over 70kg most over 80kg) you can tell they are able to comfortably close the number 2 with proper technique. Heck even Larry has a poor technique, funny enough he taught them all wrong.

    Love Larry's videos! I would like to know the kilos or pounds
    of the crunch 3 and 3.5 grips as mine are in 200, 250, and 300 lbs. Thanks

    • @RicoYT23
      @RicoYT23 2 года назад

      A 3 is listed as 280 pounds on the packaging and 3.5 as 322.5, however the captains of crush Grippers are harder than most of the 200, 300 type grippers because the handles are wider and the springs do not lose stiffness over time as much as the others. Also, in reality in order to compare grippers there is a universal system called RGC where they measure how much it takes to close them at the end of the handle because that is where we put our force at and it is actually much less. If you look into Grippers you'll find more information about this, I think if you can close the 200-300 you are doing well. The 300 pound gripper I have originally was a little less than my number 3 but it got much easier, the 250 lbs is easier than my 2.5. I know all this is very confusing for most people but if you stick with grippers I think you will find it out soon from other videos aswell 🙌🏽
