Thank you for this great tutorial and your efforts. Could you please tell us when will you upload the next tutorial (stress-strain curve combining) you mentioned at the end of the this tutorial? Thanks in advance.
Hi, You can find in plane Poisson's ratio using length strain (e_l) and width strain (e_w). Let's say negative strain in the thickness is e_t, then e_l+e_w+e_t=0, so, e_t=-(e_l+e_w). Now knowing all the strain components, you should be able to calculate any Poisson's ratio you want. Hope it helps.
I need to know how to use pictures anlaysis for concrete beam and calculate virtical displacements and starains > it would be great if you explain that in video on your chanel > thank you so much
Hi! Really thanks first of all. Could you please let me know how did you get this version? As I have GOM suit free version and I can't import data in that. It's not available.
I've got a question: When I try to create a diagram nothing will show up and GOM says: ''In the 3D view no elements with diagramdata are viewable'' Do you know how I can find a solution?
Very interesting video. I would like to know if there is a way to eliminate or reduce the prospective view in order to have a near exact frontal view of the specimen. Thank you
@@CP-zi3eg Hi, I have a year old version of GOM in my desktop which was free and still free to use. Has something changed since!(?) Can you please try this link and see if it helps: www.trilion.com/gom-suite#
I've tried using this software in the past but regardless of importing pictures or videos, they always look considerably worse than the raw file. Almost looking like they're being downscaled or some weird kind of post-processing is happening (increase contrast and saturation in case of colored files) And there is certainly some kind of artifacting happening. What I'm importing is either JPEG or MP4 files.... Any suggestion for improvements ?

It is a pleasure to listen to your class, I have gained a lot from you today! Thanks.
So we don’t need to buy expensive DIC system as we are able to record a video using our phone then analyze it with GOM correlate!
Thank you!
Very good video
Which book whould you suggest for mastering math behind digital correlation...
Hello sir, is it possible to measure negative Poisson's ratio accurately using this setup?

Hi, is there a way to find poissons ratio in this program? Can I calculate it with strainx and strainy averages?

Hi Could you share the video that you shot? Thanks.

Hello,
Can you share the link for the free version ?

Hello great video, thanks for sharing. I have seen your next video which i am more interesting, how to relate load with extensometer. Thank you

Btw. It seems it's not free

To eliminate perspective you will need 3D DIC with at least two cameras and GOM was never free for 3D analysis, unfortunately.
hi!! could you send me the video you used, so i can try to manage the software??
I think the software is now commerical. No longer free

Hi there, Thanks for the video.
I installed GOM-Software-Installer-2021_Hotfix_4.exe in the link. It crashes whenever I run the software. Any advise?
thank you, but the version i downloaded need license. isn't it free?!
Hi, unfortunately recent versions are not free anymore :(
how i can get the crack of software
Useless as its a paid software, remove the video or edit the description
