I think they did give him divine departure they just didnt make it a special or call attention to it, i think its square x3 triangle and he jumps forward, slashes his sword as a slash continues forward past where he stops

Tip: when you have presents and notes everywhere on the floor go up and sit on the music note it attracts everything and does good damage.
