My dad passed away when I was 10, all I can remember clearly about him is that, he used to whistle this every morning while having a coffee at our front yard.🥺
My late brother loved whistling this song randomly. After listening to this song, it truly is amazing. Miss you brother. Fly high and let’s listen to this together in the after life someday. 💐 19,10,2020 💐
My boyfriend passed away a couple months ago at the age of 29 due to motorcycle accident... Everytime he heard this song, he recorded it and sent it to me coz when we were together he was surprised I sang this song loudly while we're on our road trip... He's American and I'm a Filipina... 😖 Miss him
This song was meant to commemorate the end of the Berlin Wall; collapse of the Soviet Union, and the reuniting of nations divided between the Allied West and Communist East. The song is still absolutely beautiful to this day and I hope if I ever have kids I get to share this with them. My parents grew up on Scorpions and I grew up hearing it from them.
Hopefully this will be the USA in 2022 and 2024 if enough people push back on the excesses of the radical left. That is if Americans' votes still count.
I was in Berlin when the wall fell in 1989. I always think about that when I hear this song. We were so hopeful then. I cried hearing this today in 2024, knowing where we are now...
USA 2024. Trump barely won at 277 to 226 while the Republicans regained the Senate at 51 to 41. Had the Democrats won 2024 the USA could very well be the next USSR.
One song that will always survive the test of time, one thing mankind will always stride for is to break the yoke of strife, suffering, and the remedy always leans towards freedom. Some freedom is just another utopian idea a fantasy another illusion, but for those that lived through such restrictions of being treated as a human being with dignity this song is very emotional and real to them.
This is my favorite group in the World ! I love all music, but and have seen almost every band you can imagine! I love music, it is always in my soul and heart! They are special to me because, I was born in Germany duri g Hitler's war, my Father was in the Army fighting in Germany, saving people, he found my Mother alone and at 16, her relatives were lost and her Mother left, she was so Beautiful and brave. My Father married her and they had me and brought us back to New York, where he was from! I was born at 2 lbs. and still made it! Never met my real Father or remember him, he went off to fight another War! I did find out about him at 16, and found him in the phone book! I tried to go see him, but my car broke down! Came home and later got a letter from his wife he had passed away ! I have his letters, and remember his voice over the phone! So many Unanswered questions! He and my Mother are gone ! I would love to have gone to Germany to see Aunts and Uncles , but I started my own Family! So the Scorpions became advocates about the war, and their songs are about the love of the lead singer and others, split by the Berlin Wall' He was at the Wall when it came down after Hitler's war was ended, many years later ! He writes about that day and sings about it! After years in Military School with my Step Father and Mother, I never saw them much, we moved from Country to Country, State to State ! We're all brothers my friend. It was a beautiful moment wasn't it? I remember seeing it on tv when I was a little kid and even being too young to really understand everything that was happening I felt something beautiful and I cried. This song really captures that feeling.

So I've heard this song a thousand times before but never knew the lyrics. But this song was playing in my dreams last night. I woke up and while I as able to identify the song in my head, i couldn't find it because I didn't know the name of the song, the band who played it nor the lyrics to google it. Then, without knowing the lyrics, I tried to play the melody of the chorus in my head and don't ask me how but when the chorus says "Taaake me"... (to the magic of the moment...) I thought the line was "Chaaange of wind".. (tah dah dah...) with that being all I could come up with to try to find this song, I tried my luck and googled "change of wind" and that's how I ended up here. I still don't know why my subconscious would be playing this song even without me knowing the lyrics or even what the song is about, so while I heard it thousands of times before (I was little when it came out), I only listened to it for the first time today.
