I would love to hear about other compliance division in GC. Are the working hours, pay scale for other compliance division same as investment banking compliance division?
Compliance is a bad career. It is extremely hard to switch to more lucrative roles while having to work long hours at half of what the front office is making. Don’t waste your life doing compliance and I am saying this as a compliance officer.
I’d like to hear more on this, do you specifically mean bad career within IB? I get what you mean about making less than front office, but I wouldn’t go as far as saying bad career. You can always pivot your GRC expertise to the tech cybersecurity side as there are transferable skills. It’s not hard to switch to lucrative roles, it depends on where you want to go lol
