Don't stop telling us about the dogs! I've become invested in the story😉
I think most of us really enjoy how you mixed it all up with elegant beaded up costumes and practical vintagy outfits with fun trims and details! ...and who wouldn't be cheered up seeing two doggies playing together in the middle of it all? We love you just being you.
"Instructions are just suggestions" that's how I see them anyway!
Love the pupdate- and the wagging tail in the bottom left of the worn photos! Such sweet girls and a great summer dress.
“I probably broke my nose but I have no idea why I wasn’t as productive as I usually am”- Angie you have every right to take time to heal when you’re hurt. Thank you for making awesome content and sharing your beautiful dresses with us!
Never ever stop talking about your dogs. I love hearing about them!
And that playtime looked like a lot of fun! Those growls are playful!
Yay. Another vid. :) But, :( sorry to hear about another dog issue. They’re lucky to have such a caring, attentive owner - that’s for sure.
As for pet foods causing problems, remember the melamine fiasco in 2007?
Also, during that time, I was feeding two of my cats a premium brand that was produced in the same county as University of Georgia (one of the larger vet schools in the South), and both of them died because of corn fungus in the foods. The company did not reveal the problem until after I lost the second cat. Thankfully, most of my other cat's did not like that food or I would have lost more furbabies. There is a website that discloses pet food recalls and warnings. So far I have had excellent luck with Purina classic flavors. They have been around since 1960s.
The growls were utterly clear as play growls and not fight snarls. I am always down for pupper content!
The dress looks lovely! I love the little touch of lace on the ruffle!
Your dress looks lovely. You are such a good dog mom. Those pups are lucky to have such a loving owner.
I've been subscribed for 6 years and you just get prettier every video
The singer 327 is a very good vintage machine and comes in teal. So that maybe an option for you to match your sewing room.
Those growl sounds totally sound like play. If I heard that, as your neighbor, I'd know the dogs were playing, and not fighting. =) sorry for your nose. I've been concerned about dog foods creating health issues in our dogs. Off to check out your etsy shop. How am I just now hearing about your pattern shop?
I'm so glad my sucking on a colored pencil to use it to mark on fabric is the 'professional' way to do it! 😊
I just dip mine in a small cup of water
I do the same licking thing when I'm trying to use an older or dryer eyeliner pencil
It works for HP Plotter pens too. Oh that's right they don't make those anymore haha!!
@@angeliquethorn4525 bright idea! it keeps you from getting a really colorful tongue. I identify with Angela though because you seldom have a cup of water when you need it right then! In my case, I turned it over 5 minutes before I needed it, and things are all wet so I don't bring the water to the sewing room.
This dress could not be more delightful!
glad to hear the pup-updates. The excessive wetting/drinking is probably stressful for Minnie also. You're the best puppy mommy. Keep sewing pretty things.
You look stunning and it's so beautiful to see how confident you are, back then was clear you were holding back a little of your style sense and now you look so free and inspiring
Minnie and Posey are SOOOOOOO sweet and cute! Minnie doesn’t appear to be remorseful for chewing a hole in her crate and getting her head stuck. You gotta love dogs!!!
Love watching your videos. You are a great doggy mommy. You have great patience with your work and your pup.
All the puppers we love the puppers
I adore how you always include information on your fabrics and nail colors in the description box. 💙 Saves me from asking the Super Repetitive Questions.
I just adore this dress, the fabric is amazing. Dogs take three months to settle in to a new home. Good luck
If you ever are looking to try out a new technique to pull the elastic through or turn a strap right side out, I have always used an Afghan hook. It saves so much time. Thought I would share! Beautiful dress!!
I love the combination of the fabric and the lace on the edge of the ruffle! The floral print looks really nice, and the pop of yellow really ads some lightness and decoration to it. Great choice of makeup to pair with it, too!
Dress is so pretty and I love hearing about your dogs please don't stop
I love all the dog updates lately! I'm happy they're getting along with each other :)
Those are such happy pup play sounds! When they huff like that, they're just having a good time ^^ I would be delighted to hear that if I was your neighbor, happy dogs are a massive source of joy. And it's fantastic exercise for them.
You're such a good dog mom. Thank you for taking in these awesome and sweet babies. ❤
Such a pretty dress made and modeled by such a pretty lady! Hope Minnie gets better soon. Love your videos and both Posie and Minnie, too!
I love this dress and all the yellow accessories and styling! I think it looks great on you. And never apologize for dog content! I love them!
Gorgeous dress. Very inspiring! You look beautiful! Love the doggies updates. Smiling from watching them play!
Such a cute dress and fur baby! Thank you for posting this!
"This one's digging! This one's rolling!" Ahahaha, life with beagles. They just do whatever they want and refused to be stopped. You're a good dog mom though, cause it's obvious you care so much and those babies are so comfortable in your arms.
Such a cute dress. I enjoyed hearing the cutting and sewing machine sounds.
You are so beautiful and talented. I pray someday you can be a costume designer for theater or the movies. I have watched your videos, I still only make quilts but you motivate me to try, even at 62 years old.
My dog (a bitch) had very similar symptoms, a lot of drinking especially late at night and a lot of accidents seemingly out of the blue, it got to the point where she was having accidents whilst asleep/lying down! We took her to have lots of tests for all the conditions you were listing: UTIs, Cushings etc. Everything came back completely normal until they searched her urine for a specific bacteria and it came back positive! Turns out she did have a uti that was hard to detect and it was very difficult to treat because of the bacteria that it was so she had to be on a very long and strong course of antibiotics. I’m happy to say she’s completely fine now but it definitely was a mystery for a long time and I think this is more common in those that have been neutered(?) Maybe they are completely different cases and definitely consult your vet but I just thought I’d let you’d know of our experience with our little girl!🐶🐾
A friend's dog had some issues with accidents when she was sleeping and peeing in the house. Her vet put her dog on estrogen and the issue cleared up. It took some adjusting the dose to get it just right, but afterwards it worked like a charm. Good luck! Minnie and Posey are adorable and the dress is super cute!
Same thing happened with my cat! As she gets older, she's had a number of uti's. Now I recognize her behavior and take her straight to the vet to get her checked out and started on medication as soon as possible. I never thought it would be such a common thing, but it turns out it is with cats and dogs!
@@tlhommedieu that is why the pet food companies make Urinary Tract Formulas for both dogs and cats. Purina, Hill Science Diet.
Hopefully, in Minnie's case, being super excitable is the problem. There is a condition known as excitable peeing, but is usually associated with cocker spaniels.
I wouldnt worry too much about how your dogs sound when playing i used to have a brother sister pair of dogs and they sounded just like the video you showed of Minnie and Posie when they play fought
They sound like they are having a great time 😊
Looks great! Loved your instruction in this video. Super helpful and I feel like I always have something new to learn.
It's very pretty fabric you have made it beautifully you have been thru a lot with your puppy and your sore nose being a dog mom is just as intense as being a human mum Minnie is very cute they are both very cute I hope you can sort out her medical issues. The finished dress looks stunning on you.
I love both the sewing and fur baby content. Dogs can be so different in their house breaking journey, even with no medical issues. We have an older Yorkie (Sidney) that we got as a puppy and he still isn’t consistently house broke. He has to be on a strict schedule. Then we have a lab mix (Yogi) that we also got as a puppy that pretty well house broke himself. Love the dress and that ruffle adds so much!!!
This was beautiful, as usual. I don't think you've ever made a dud. Your furbabies are so adorable, and I enjoy seeing them. You are beautiful, talented, kind, and loving to others. One of my fave RUclipsrs, and I have your patterns. 😊
Love the off the shoulders look and with the straps too, so cute. I had off the shoulder little sleeves added to my strapless wedding dress and the tailor/seamstress did a great job.
Omg! The turning the tube trick! Thank you!
Love this fabric. Jack russells are very active best dog for active kids so they can tire each other out.
What a pleasure it was to see another video, this morning. And, I so enjoyed the chatty video. Lovely dress. It came together so well. Don't you love it when pattern pieces go together--or can be made to go together--the way they're intended. I'm glad you have the pooches in your life. Lots of us love to hear about them.
Gorgeous fabric and the pop of yellow works so well with it.
I continue to be awed by your talent. The dress is adorable. I enjoy seeing your babies and hearing about them. They are important to you. And, I , for one, enjoy seeing them.
The dress turned out great!
I like how TheClosetHistorian does her lapped zippers.
Sewing AND pup-dates is good!
Love TCH too!
@@Susanfuzz Same here! Bianca’s my ‘lullaby of choice’! I struggle with sleep because of chronic illness and put one of her videos on every night when I get into bed, I find everything about her so relaxing that I’m out within 15 minutes which is wonderful, it also means that a half an hour video lasts me two days which is a win for me!
@@rhonddalesley same!! :) #TCHLullabyFandom
What a gorgeous fabric choice! Your natural instinct for colour and pattern does such justice to the pattern.
I look forward to your postings very much; love your work!
I use extremely large washers as pattern weights.
I use rocks I get from the beach lol.
I use my cheap, broken cellphones. They are of no use to anyone and I don't want to throw them in the recycling center.
Thank you for the tips on turning tubes and using a large Bobby pin to thread elastic, so smart! Love your pups, so cute! We have two new pups too. Hope Minnie feels better soon!
💚💚💚🐶🐶🐶 we love the sewing & dog combo!!
Bone bruises really do hurt for a very long time, especially when it's your nose. I had an elbow to the bridge of my nose once. It hurt for probably a little over a month. Glad you didn't get a broken nose.
Really cute dress. I love cute funny beagles.
We are here for ALL the content you gift to us 😉
And this came out SO LOVELY.
hope your little baby gets more bladder control over the next few weeks
best of luck with the medical problems, so glad the pups are getting along now!!!
the dress looks sooo cute, and maybe easy to draft up as well
Love how this turned out! Can't wait for some of those 48" bust patterns-- I never find vintage patterns in my bust size!
That's a beautiful fabric and I'm glad ur doggos are getting on better.
I love how the dress came out! The print is gorgeous, and now after watching this I know how to do French seams which is new for me! Great job 👏
I really like the outcome of this. Especially with the ruffles and the yellow trimming.
I love your pupdates! Whilst watching last night my lil puppy decided to join in the games and sat on the edge of the sofa growling and barking in unison. Absolutely love dress. Such pretty fabric choice
Love being a part of your creative process!! I love your McCalls patterns!!!
It’s so good to see another video from you! You look so cute in this dress! I enjoyed your humorous narration, as always.
I love your videos, such an enjoyable range of topics, from historical to nail polish to vintage to patterns to pets, … . Thank you so much for all your awesome content!
Your videos are always a complete delight!
Hi Angela! I too am on long island and I absolutely love love LOVE your videos! I've been following for a good few years and the progress you've made is astounding. I just wanted to say that if you ever need an absolutely FANTASTIC vet, the West Hills Animal Hospital in Huntington has been nothing but outstanding with my cat. They're not my ordinary vet, but whenever I have an emergency, I go straight to them. They've helped me with my cat on numerous occasions (usually UTI'S), but was also amazing when she needed emergency surgery. They have my utmost confidence, take great care of your fur babies, and are open 24/7. Wishing you absolutely the best!
Minnie looks a lot like Bunny from Tales of Cuckoo channel. So adorable. Bunny was a rescue as well. Good luck with your furry friends. 💜
Eee those doggies playing together is so heartwarming!
Everything will be ok! Giving you lots of support and air hugs!
A tip for keeping straps like that looking nice regardless of your posture: insert no roll elastic into the straps that is about 3/4-1 inch shorter than the straps. This will let the straps adjust automatically. To keep the front of the straps smooth, you can top stitch the strap to the elastic so that it only gathers in the back and the front stays smooth.
But I love this dress and the pups are just darling. Pardon me while I go grab my sketch book and start designing another “inspired by Angela” dress.
wow... this turned out really pretty. I love the trim. Thank you so much for sharing! Im so glad the pup is getting better too!
I also have 2 dogs and when they play you would think it was Custer's last stand. Forget about 1 toy for each dog, that's people thinking. The fireworks are very rough one 1 of my dogs. Poor baby he can't do any thing but run and hide under the couch. Here in Florida it seems there are fireworks every day. The dress is adorable and you look terrific in it. Happy sewing.
I've been recently thinking of making a dress with a similar ruffly bodice but couldn't quite wrap my head around how it would work around the arm area, so thank you so much for sharing how it's constructed. It turned out very cute!
My Irish Wolfhound broke my nose. He jumped up as I bent down. Saw stars! Glad you're all ok. X
About turning the tubes with the needle, it works better if you lead with the eye end of the needle, so the pointy end doesn’t poke into the fabric.
I’m so glad they’re getting along better now! 🐶
Your dress is ADORABLE! Your puppy may need some doggie diapers. ❤️
Oh! I can’t wait to see the other upcoming projects!
And yes…. Although I’m a cat person, I do love doggos and enjoy your “pupdates”!
Angela Marie Clayton (I don't know if it's Marie, but it works) that dress is adorable. I'm sorry you are having a problem with a leaky dog, but I am glad your pups are having more fun with each other. Love your work, and hope you are well. Thanks for sharing your work with us.
I am in love with the fabric
I am glad to hear that your dogs are getting along more. Also, looking forward to the historical projects you teased at the end of the video. They look really fun.
It's super difficult being a dog mom of a puppy, and you are doing great!
The dress looks lovely on you, the cut and the colours are chef's kiss
I totally understand about how scary dogs playing can sound and look! My dogs play exactly like Posie and Minnie do but they are about 3x larger
The dress turned out great!! And your projects in process look so amazing, I can't wait to see them get worked on! Thank you for all the tips you mention while you're sewing- I'm a beginner at using patterns and it's super helpful
I use a white Derwent watercolour pencil for a lot of dark fabric sewing, it's so good! And non-toxic, too! Which I madly Googled when my daughter was a baby and I found her munching a blue pencil and nearly had a heart attack! All Derwents are non-toxic, it turns out.
Face pain SUCKS! I had sinusitis a few months ago and was shocked at how painful it was! I wish you speedy healing!
I'm so happy your doggies are getting along! You're obviously a great dog mama!
Thank you for sharing the colored pencil tip. I never thought to use a damp colored pencil for marking. I have bought special marking pencil’s sewing and I’ve never pleased with how they work out. The colored pencil with the wet tip would be perfect thank you again for your suggestion.
Really love how the dress came out! Enjoyed the pup updates, hope Minnie is feeling better
Beautiful dress 👗 love your tutorials 😍 🇬🇧
I am enjoying the dog content tbh!! Also you making this dress makes me want the pattern sooo badly cause it turned out hella cute and I always enjoy a good ruffle!!!
Your dress is just! SO cute!! it looks fantastic and I am totally in love with the floral print- I’m such a sucker for flowers on a black background :D And the yellow styling details are ingenious! don’t apologize for the dog content, either! Posie and Minnie are great and it made me smile to hear you talk about them!
I love a new Angela video!!!!
OMG you must be my long lost daughter! Ruffles are always essential and improve every dress!! I love the dresses of that era. I wish I was as talented as you are.
You can also use extra large washers from the hardware store as pattern weights.
Love that butterfly ballerina dress
By the way the dress is beautiful. You look marvelous in it. I love a fuller skirt and pockets but it’s gorgeous.
I love the vintage trims you used. I would love to find more of it. I did find the fabric which is spectacular. Cannot wait to start a summer dress out of this fabric.
Beautiful dress! I hope you're doing a video featuring your pattern sorting. I loved it last time you did that! Good luck with those doggos!
the dress is adorable! your puppies are adorable!! YOU are adorable!!!
Dogs! always welcome :) good luck with the projects
Darling dress!
Really pretty fabric.
Love the dog ness.
Looking forward to the historical dresses so much!
That dress is so cute on you. And your dogs are precious! I hope the baby will figure out how to go potty outside soon. 🌻
Great fabric choice!
Love how the dress turned out!
I like the very end of the outro. That's life with dogs. Love the dress on you. Are we ever going to see you in the worth peacock gown?
Along the same lines, you haven’t been following Cathy Hay’s Worth Peacock dress series I highly recommend it!
@@rhonddalesley thanks for the heads up on that. Is she on RUclips?
also, is this like the peacock dress worn by Christine in the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical "Love Never Dies"? The Australian production, not the English production.
