Thanks for confirming that Clif is a great choice. The bad news is that they are announcing the closure of the border between Quebec and Ontario next monday. It puts my project on the edge of the "Cliff" 🥶
I'd love to know your opinion of the RX bar, and if it would be good for bike touring. Of the ones mentioned, I'd err towards Lara bar, because Clif bars taste soooo gross. I'll def check out your recipe, thanks!
Thanks for mentioning! I haven't tried RX bars but I took a quick look at them. I like the simple ingredients :) A little higher in protein so enjoying them post-workout may be better but if you're enjoying them -- that's great! They seem like a nutritious, simple option 👍
Love the channel. I am training for the TNGA and keeping myself fed is turning out to be a challenge. I try to get my hands on PB&J sandwiches whenever possible. I fight forest fires and one of my trainings said they are perfect for the job. What about sports drinks?
How exciting!! For sure, eating enough can be hard at first, but you'll get the hang of it :) In terms of sports drinks -- if I'm training I usually make them myself with either part fruit juice/part water or water + maple syrup and then I add some sea salt. When on a tour, it can often be whatever you can get your hands on! I usually will try to grab a juice and add some salt to my food to cover my sugar and salt needs rather than turning to a sports drink like gatorade but if you're in a pinch or on the verge of bonking, grabbing a sports drink like gatorade can be key! Good luck and have so much fun!!
Oooh great suggestion! Those are delicious! I had a quick look at their nutritional breakdown and it would be GREAT for exercise, and pretty decent ingredients too :) Thanks for the suggestion! If there are enough of them I may do another video!
Any other bars you would like to see reviewed? Let me know below!
Thanks for the review! I will keep this in mind when I am picking up bars for my cycling. I may even check out your recipe 😊
Sounds great! I hope you enjoy some tasty and nutritious snacks :)

Aww I'm sorry! I hope you have a great ride when you do it one day!

@@SheelaghDaly I'm finding that 75% of water liquid intake is from creek water. By default, I need to carry a powdered mix for a drink supplement.
@@michaelw2155 That's fair! Whatever works! :)
What about Nature's Bakery Fig bars?

Yeah, Cliff Bars really give me problems! Have you tried Rev bars...my new fave and they're vegan! :))))
Ooh I haven't! Thanks for the tip!
best energy bars are RX bars, no added sugar and only simple ingredients
Well I like to select chocolate icing and ice cream in my energy bars 😂😂
