This is what Africans need. Collective security for surety. This is what the AU was created for. But seeing they have sold out,we'll complete our mission ourselves.
Regional blocs such as ECOWAS and the continental bloc AU can not be the source of any collective security.
They are financed by the very external entities that such security would be rationalized as a defense against in the first place.
Collective security must be done on a bilateral basis, to ensure that the risk of sabotage and subversion is mitigated..

We need a complete overhaul of the AU that'll have all its funding raised locally within the continent. And it can be done. Only then shall we have a truly independent AU.
