Again another person converted in a man made religion. Please, people just give your whole heart to God, spirit, soul and body and you will not need to get hooked to any religion that has been founded by man or woman. The Father seeks worship in spirit and in truth. You don't need anyone outside of The Holy Spirit, He is the one who decides who will be saved. All religions can be joined or unjoined, but when the Holy Spirit draws into the family of God you will be born from above and you cannot be unborn from such a birth and neither will you want to find another religion. (Jn 3:1-5). Make sure you are in the Kingdom of God, because it seems you are still searching around.!

God is a God of Salvation not religion. I hope you will by His mercy and grace be opened to receive the one and only that draws to Himself. Seek and you shall find, knock and it will be opened unto you. Ask and it shall be given. What do you want? The Holy Spirit, or religion? If you want a relationship that masters your existence and those will be for you, but if you want a temporary comfort than there is no one who can open, hear your knock, or fulfill your real need.

And as long as u are a sheep you will come and find the true fold, For when Jesus speaks he releaved my troubled mind His voice makes the difference and when his sheep hears is voice they will come, because they RECOGNIZE "TRUTH " TRUTH IS THE VOICE OF GOD. ... NO MATTER WHAT IS HAPPENING THIS MOVEMENT IS BUILT UPON A SURE FOUNDATION WITH JESUS CHRIST THE CHIEF CORNER STONE.

The beauty of this testimony is that he, not once mentioned or referred to the writings of EGW as basis for him to be converted into the SDA church. Many non-Adventist or former Adventist point fingers of the the writings of EGW as reason for calling the SDA church as cult or for the former Adventist, reason to leave the church. This testimony proves that SDA as majority teach based on the Bible first and then, quote the writings of EGW to point to the greater light.

@@jeffroberts1938 it can be a little challenging to embrace the writings of someone who most people revere as a prophet. It is wise to study how the holy scriptures defines a prophet. Just to list a few: the prophecy must come to past, it cannot contradict the Bible, prophets usually receive their prophecies in visions while awake or asleep. We live in a world where the potential for disaster is evident to anyone who is paying attention. Many people--especially young people--have come to think that religion is responsible for creating much of the danger.
I submit that it is not religion per se or even theism that has created and is creating the problems but that dogmatism is--the belief that there is only one “correct” way to interpret books that are considered sacred.
I’m not asking you to lay aside your belief but I am suggesting that you consider the possibility that there might be another way of explaining what you believe.
In the sixteenth century, protestants examined references in Revelation 13 to the first beast “to make war with the saints” and to the second beast causing that no man without the mark of the first beast “might buy or sell” and causing that such “should be killed” and took those passages as evidence that the church of Rome was the power described by one or both of the symbols--that it was coercion with regard to religious beliefs, religious practices or religious prohibitions that constituted the mark of the beast. That belief was handed down from the protestants on the Continent to those in England where protestants, including Baptists and the Wesley Brothers taught it. Methodists and baptists who subscribed to that interpretation had considerable influence in the early stages of the advent movement in the U.S. in the nineteenth century.
Would the enforcement of blue laws constitute the mark of the beast? Of course. But it is the coercion involved in that enforcement that constitutes the mark of the beast. The mark would be the mark regardless of which religious beliefs, religious practices or religious prohibitions are thus enforced. The prophecies are given in symbolic language so we can recognize the mark no matter who uses coercion or with regard to which aspect of religious belief. It is appropriate for civil government to enforce ethical behavior based on reason but when coercion is employed to enforce moral principles based on the revelations of God to men, that coercion can be considered the mark--the thing that identifies or marks the beast or his image.
Do you have a friend in another denomination who needs to understand this issue? Please consider, for a moment, the advantage of explaining your belief as described above. Think about whether this explanation avoids giving the impression that those who promote this belief are motivated by spiritual pride or by the belief that our relationship with the Lord is based on something we do.

I dare SDA's to read the 2 books written by DM Canright (who was a contemporary of EGW). Also, read "Sabbath in Christ," by Dale Ratzlaff (former SDA Minister). A very little book, called "The Truth about Adventist Truth" also by Dale Ratzlaff. SDA's MUST diminish Jesus Christ and what he actually did, in order to make room for the teachings of the false prophet, EGW. I was a 4th generation Adventist. I know what I am talking about.

Evidently there is still a need for a new birth, joining different religions is still short of the ultimate need to be born from above, that birth cannot go from house to house as a lack of completion, the search will be over and the work accomplished. A person can join any one of these man established religions, but when God adds one to The Body of Christ which only He can do. No longer will a person determine which group to tie into it will have been decided by The Holy Spirit. Many are sincere and are still not born from above.(In 3:1-5) The reason we have so many organizations is they are established by man and in them there is no convictions by the Holy Spirit. Just look at how the Church (the body of believers) got started Jesus started and the Holy Spirited added since. None of them sent out recruiting, they preached Truth and more importantly they lived Truth totally separated from the dictates of society and the flesh unto God, wholly devoted to Jesus Christ that is how people were added to the Church of God which is the body of Christ. Henry Salem paul wasn't speaking this verse pertaining to phsycal food and drink he was referring to the feast days that were shadows pointing to christ death on the cross, there were holy days that were also call sabbaths such as the passover it was a sabbath it didn't come once every week like the seventh day sabbath of the ten commandments, it comes annually once every year.

These are all sabbaths or holy days

There are seven of them, they came on a date once annually so when you see the apostle Paul making reference he was pointing to that , because after Jesus nailed these to his cross... the Jews still trying to hold to that tradition and wants the gentiles who came into the faith to keep them. That's what the apostle Paul was talking about, There's nothing about eating and drinking in the ten commandments.

When Jesus came he put and end to this ceremonial law, GOD GAVE IT TO MOSES AND MOSES WROTE IT IN A BOOK, IT'S ALSO CALLED THE BOOK OF THE COVENANT EXODUS 24 VERSE 7. Shermaine Wilson I was Pentecostal for years, spoke in ‘tongues’ but the Holy Spirit led me to the Adventist Church, took me almost a year of studying, guided by the Holy Spirit but was finally set free, now I understand so much more truth and I know there is more to come. It is derived from the word, "advent", and is a reference to the belief, not widely taught in the nineteenth century, that Jesus would return at the beginning of the millennium. Anyone who knows even that much about the advent movement would put the emphasis on the first syllable of the word, "adventist", not on the second syllable.

I didn't mean to imply that adventists "predict" a date for the return of Jesus. I've known many and none of them have done that. I believe what all adventists do about the purpose of the return of Jesus--that it will be to rescue true Christians and take us to be with him where he is--i.e. that the millennial kingdom will be an heavenly kingdom, not an earthly one. That's important because Christians who expect an earthly kingdom will be easily deceived by a false messiah.
