I have used this same firman Generator for the last three years and I run it only on Propane. It hasn't missed a beat , runs perfect and will run the AC in our 250RDS no problems , The really good thing is I don't have to carry gasoline as my truck is diesel , so one less thing to carry extra of. Also bought it at Costco on sale in the spring time and that helped with the cost. It is also small enough to fit under the slide out so I can lock it up the the frame and only have to run a short 15' 30 amp cord to the trailer making for an easier set up. I point the exhaust out to the side and that helps keep the noise down some (especially on the awning side) . Some times if I'm just a night or two , I'll even leave it in the truck box (I have a canopy) and run a longer cord to the trailer and problem solved of lifting it in and out of the truck , also quieter . PLus without gas in the tank it's a few pounds lighter. Over all we're happy with it and have no regrets and sold the Honda. Did you guys put your inverter into bypass mode when running the generator? I had to do that or the charger robed to much power . It's not a Honda but for the Money I can but three Honda's . So yes if you already have a big Honda I'd probably stick with that. Cheers

Good morning, thank you for watching and your comments. You have good points for helping with the reduction of noise. The weight is a great plus of this unit and the propane is a huge plus. Having to shutoff the charger and run only one major appliance at a time was the final piece for us not to keep it. So many good points and one of course was that price. But too many strikes against it for us.
Glad you are having good luck luck with yours and it is working well. I hear from others that they are going strong without issues.
Debbie returned it yesterday to Costco without any issues.
We are still not sure what we are going to do long term - Honda 3000 for now, but it is too big and too heavy 🤪
      Have a great day
      Cheers 🥂

Have you considered the Honda 3200. That looks like it's right at 60 pounds or running 2 2200 in parallel? We are looking for a generator solution for our Airstream and very interested in your thoughts and opinions

Thank you for watching and your comment. We have the 2000 watt Honda’s at work and I just find them sooooooo loud. Not sure on the new 2200, but the lunch box style are light but at high rpm they are very loud. Two could work, but I don’t think we would buy two. Need to see some real world testing under full load for new 3200 watt Honda. But is a lunch box style, so I am guessing that it would be loud, but not sure yet. I like the numbers on the spec sheet, will research more soon.
Let us know what you find on your research as well.
      Cheers,
      Curtis and Debbie

how do you wrestle around those 100 pound generators in and out of your truck?

Good morning, thank you for watching and your comment. The little one with the wheels is pretty easy (I can do it myself still). That Honda is over 135 pounds according to the chart and without wheels and that lifted truck of Debbie’s, it is a beast. Every once in a while I load it myself, but it is not wise by myself (back is never happy).
      Cheers,

@c1dancer we have a 2024 F250XLT with the 2k power plas package and soft starts on the Kenny. I know that wouldn't handle both a/c units but when we have more actual camping experience ming fo gor atlesdt the 3200. I know I couldn't wrestle a 130 pound generator into the truck

Heavy generators are not fun at all.
My work truck has that built in 20 amp 2600 watt inverter package with the dual high output alternators; however we only use this truck in the summer. I still have a tough time in my head running a 30,000 dollar diesel motor as a generator. We run a generator a fair amount in the summer and do need to find a better plan. Keep Your Day Dream installed and Onan built in generator in their air stream (well under it), maybe that is something we will look at soon.
