My friend's dad was a professional classical musician in orchestras. He played various wind instruments. The level of musicianship those guys have is insane. We played him some Yngwie and he just laughed and played it on a bassoon or whatever. "It's just arpeggios." Now it's funny at the time I was annoyed.
@@mattmillerguitar His takes are interesting. He keeps mentioning how simple the chords and harmony are to chord progressions that are pretty challenging to a lot of us rock and metal guys :)
@JD-vj4go I know lol. It's basic and remedial to Mark. I am looking forward to hearing what he wants me to react to. I should ask him to give an example of a chord progression that's in his wheelhouse. It would be interesting. Maybe they are chords we embellishments or added intervals?
Many of Yngwie's critics forget about his bending and vibrato, both are top notch. Even though Yngwie plays fast much of the time there's still a lot of substance behind what he plays. His vibrato is often overlooked, but it's one of the best.
Still loving your cast brother!! Haven't missed any thing. Glad stuff is going good. Miss hanging out and jamming with you. music for life M- make U- up S- something I- interesting C- and complementary 🤜🤛🤘
Heyy i love this concept thank you for the videos :) idk what you would think about putting Marty Friedman for the third video but imo his solo in "Be" is just soooo underrated i might even say it's almost better than tornado, lucretia. Would love if you share that with the professor :)
You mentioned you know for a fact that other guitar players played the counter/other parts on Air by Jason Becker. I'm intrigued as to who these other players were ? Do you have any names ?
I agree there are lots of great MF solos, especially from Cacophony. However, I went with songs that were suggested by viewers in the previous videos comments. I thought they chose great songs. Also, it's gotta be tough to find live videos of obscur stuff.

Lol Mark mentioned he liked the symphony version of Air the least. We listened to the original and he was blown away.

@@mattmillerguitar That would be really interesting. To have him compare the metal harmony with the classical stuff he plays.

Thanks for watching the video and I appreciate your comment and suggestion! The next video with Mark BE could be an option. Cheers!
Have not made him hear any dimebag solo's? Take floods for example, one of the best solos ever
Floods is a great solo, no doubt about it. I will remember that one for the next video cheers!

I wasn't referring to Air. I was referring to Triumphant Hearts and I know Michael Lee Firkins played a couple of Jason's tracks.
Watched it and this compilation is mêh. Friedmans soloos with Hawaii Vixen and Aloha are way more interesting.

Play Jason Becker's Air for him.
That's a great idea for the next video. Thanks for watching and the comment. Cheers!
Show him any Tech Death yet? lol
We listened to Fermented Offal Discharge which Mark really enjoyed. Thanks for watching and the comment. Cheers!
Watch Episode 1 for his reaction
Interested to hear what your friend would think about Allan Holdsworth :)
Definitely added to the list. AH is one of the best of all time. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment cheers!
