In the U.S. we continually hear about how horrible Assad is. What a dictator he is. We never get to hear him speak for himself. I appreciate the clip of his interview. Though only a minute or so long, it shows he is an intelligent, reasonable sort of man. I don't know his policies regarding health care, education, jobs, the economy, etc., but even if many of his own people hate him, the simple fact that he has helped his nation resist Israeli & Western aggression would seem to make him very popular in most Syrian's eyes. It wasn't Assad who brought ruin to Syria. It was Biden, Netanyahu, Obama, Erdogan, etc. He tried to defend it. I love how the U.S. expects everyone to believe that these regime change operations are somehow doing the people of these countries a favor. Do you think Libya is better off because of U.S. intervention? Iraq? Somalia? Venezuela? Afghanistan? How have we done them a favor?

Many experts are saying that Russia And Turkey just set up the US and Israel into a trap . It all makes perfect sense. There were several hundred thousand Syrian Army fighters who were all told to stand down and not fight at the same time. They were up against only 20 to 30 thousand rebels. Do the number . They have been fighting for over 13 years . And they just happened to walk through all the cities with no attacks. WE know. the. history of how Russia lured Napoleon to attacked Russia with four hundred thousand troops and they were all slaughtered with only ten thousand that escaped back to France. Russi aalso did this to the nazis at Stalingrad. They lurex them in and obliterated the fifteen million man nazi army. We have a real chest match going on here. There is talk now that Israel knows own they waled into a trap . Turkey is now making threats to attack Israel. What gives.?????????

To have joy, IS, to die to everything that will die tomorrow.
Live only for the eternal, not for the temporal, because you will be left empty handed, and in desolation when you lose it, because it’s destined all to be lost, everything that you hold on to in this plane.

My thought (a guess really) about the lightening advance of the Free Syria forces is that Assad simply had little control over a corrupted Syrian military. Assad didn't want to be a puppet of the US. I can't blame him.

The Col. to me was referring to the significant military support in terms of weapons, munitions and other equipment that was on a continuous supply line through the Baltic, that cost the lives of thousands of western merchant marine and naval forces…. Without that Russia would have not had the capability to take on the Nazis and Japanese as they did…. And even if, without that support, the Russians might have taken significantly longer than they did and paid a far higher price than they did…. But there is no doubt that Russia withstood and beat back the Nazis and in doing so relieved the pressure on the western allies in order for themselves to prepare for actions in Italy and France etc and the significant sacrifices of the Russian people should never be forgotten but at the time we needed each other and without one or the other the final outcome would have been very different ….. but yes Russia did take the greatest burden in the defeat of the Nazis…. 👍
