I'm Irish and it was an absolute thrill to reach the final of a World Cup event for the first time. But unfortunately the better side took it on the day. Congratulations Holland.

That Netherlands team is probably the best team ever to play international hockey, if you look at their record over the past four Olympics, two gold two silver medals, some say it should've been three in a row if it wasn't for Maddie Hinch in Rio. There was only going to be one winner here.
Yes but maddie still was amazing and if th rdutch we’re better on that day they would have won simple and maddie hitch didn’t score the 3 goals we got in the match and she didn’t score the two shuttles at the end of the match that got us that medal gn deserved and we’re the better side in Rio!

A goalie who gets 6 goals in her net in the final becomes goalie of the tournament ..... how ridiculous ....both opposite goalies Koning and Veenendaal were defenitely equal and in my opinion even better the whole tournament ........ and in my honest opnion Rachel Lynch of Australia should have got this award!
She did'nt have a world class defense in front of her ! So maybe think about the context before you jump in , the judges know best ! She was superb thought the tournament and especially her saves during the penalty shootouts.
@@ivano4773 Come on, she only got the award because of those shoot outs. She had a total off day at the final. Those who watched all the games during that tournament know there were several other goalies more deserving …… politics
