What a wonderful person, to take so much of your time and energy, in the pursuit of restoring people's heirlooms. I'm watching this because my wife broke a plate that her deceased mother bought her on a trip to Italy. They've been displayed prominently in our kitchen for maybe 20yrs. When she broke the dish, the way she cried broke my heart because I know breaking it broke hers. So, I want to mend the plate to mend my wife's heart. It looks like you're in the business of fixing broken hearts. That's a noble profession. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
Hello Ali, Nice new location... I always use my daughter toothbrush in my workshop... so far I've always managed to get it back in the bathroom before she noticed it had gone - haha. Will you be showing the complete repair of these pieces? Take care. Paul,,
Many years ago I wanted to do a porcelain restoration course with a woman but she really didn't want to share any of her 'secrets' so she declined. As if there wasn't enough broken porcelain out there ! I often buy broken stuff and simply wanted to learn how to repair my own and not do it for others. Thank you for sharing.
Some people either feel threatened, because that's how they got started in business, or they think they don't have enough time to both teach and keep up with their work. I'm just very grateful for Alison taking time to share her skill and product brands that she uses!
Hi Glenna, many thanks for your comment, I used Vanish oxi action to clean the pottery, but Biotex also works just as well. Please let me know how you get on. 🥰
Check out my latest course for beginners in the description box ❤
