Nice review! Your coils were angled up just a bit and you're passing the target below center of the coil (it appears). Good tests though. I miss my old AT Pro and looking at getting another one. I've owned a NOX 800 as well and to be honest, I would probably just go back to the AT Pro and save my money.
I own 3ATPros (11detectors total) and I have a 5x8 on all 3 machines. I have a neuromusculature disease and the lighter weight helps greatly. Better in trash, pin points better. Less drag in water. I love that coil
oh god...i just switched BACK to the stock coil...dam you!!! LOL, now I gotta go and put the 5x8 back on..my gut said it was doing as well as the stock coil, but..you know...the bigger coil, the cooler the spoil..foil...toil...gah, back to the 5x8,. nice test, I like how you left the other coins there for interference.
Great video. Bought my AT Pro last year and it came stock with a 5x8" coil. Maybe Garrett watched your video? I have seen MANY air test videos and I always wonder why everyone swings their hand in front of the coil 30 times faster than they would swing the coil out in the field. The smaller the coil the better the separation but I don't think that swinging the object that fast will highlight that. Very interesting video none the less, good work!
this is how I felt before I watched your great test video .I am more confident with 8x5 I have both obviously , but ever since I switched to the 8x5 it seems to lock in better and the targets become more repeatable . when I get an iffy signal with the stock coil sometimes I don't find anything , with the 8x5 everything is spot on pretty much . I feel I am better at detecting with the 8x5 ... thanks for confirming how I feel about the 8x5 .. you don't seem to lose much depth take care CCK Jim B

Is the ace400 & AT PRO similar? Besides the AT pro being waterproof

yeah, that, decent ping off something with the stock coil and dig to find nothing.. no ping or find it with the 5x8
Good video thanks for making.
