I'm a huge fan of caves, especially the wet ones. Nothing gets me more excited than going into a cave and then exiting only to come back later. Visiting a wet cave always leaves a big smile on my face and a sense of satisfaction.
The first time I went there was on a rolling retreat from Ft. Knox. I loved the visitors center but when I entered the Cave ,I was utterly awestruck. I'll never forget our guide lighting a torch then tossing it up in the air. It lit up the most unbelievable sight! I wish everyone from everywhere could see this!!!~
Mammoth Cave is one of my most favorite places on earth!! After the first trip I was obsessed and had to go back....which I did over and over again. I really can't get enough. My family and I try to get there at least once a year from Ohio. I would love to see this whole documentary.
We do have the full documentary in either DVD or Blu-Ray available on our site (Link in the description) and it's available at the Park's visitor center. We're glad you enjoy the cave as much as we do!
Can anyone tell me where I can see the full documentary? The link in the description no longer works. I've searched Google and cannot find anywhere to view or purchase it. This is one of the most extraordinary places on Earth and there seem to be precious few documentaries about it available. That just seems crazy to me.

Some experts believe that Mammoth Cave connects with the 2nd largest cave system in the world, located in Mexico, over a thousand miles away.

Mammoth Cave in Kentucky is SO awesome! I'd love to visit one day. When I go there I'd like to do more research on my Ray ancestors.
Thanks for the info...I will order it! My kids will love it too. Thanks so much!
Uphill stairs from Hell in the Mammoth Dome near the end of the tour, but wow this cave is huge! I hope to see the Snowball room next time I go there.

The Descent
Creepy how you might be setting foot where no one ever has before when deep in the cave.
I read a article about it yesterday and I'm in 5th grade
I read it in a article at my school and iam in 5th grade
Not the longest cave in the world smart one. The longest cave discovered yet
