    This is the Camshaft Chain Tensioner (CCT) tickling sound which you are hearing. It sounds like a sweing machine. Its a normal thing for these Zs but its due to the CCT not expanding enough. There are a couple of solutions for this. Either take the CCT down and expand it with 2 clicks. or put the bike into 2nd gear, turn it off rock the bike forwards and backwards and it should click at least once. probably will get rid of the noise, other people say this method works. The CCT is located at the right side of your bike, with a insert in the engine block, hold by 2 bolts, very easy to destinguish.

      Thank you for that info. That is a relief... Suck to hear that sound. Well I guess I cant complain with the other great things this bike has...

    I've also got a 2021 Z900 and the right side of my radiator looks pretty much identical to the one on your bike.
    But the left side is smooth.

    Saludos del San Pablo, Brazil. También hay otra forma de instalar el protector del radiador mediante una abrazadera de pasador.

    Why don’t you take it back to the bike shop where you bought it

      I believe that I will. I just don’t have that much time. I live about 40 minutes from that shop and I work Monday-Friday

    Are you sure the rattling sound is not from the accessories, you have installed on the engine? Did you try removing them and see if the noise goes away?

    • @StreetLegalvlog
      @StreetLegalvlog  3 года назад

      I don’t see how that would be. They are bolted tight. I tried touching them while the bike is on and makes no difference. I think someone told me it’s the CCT....

    I have a 2020 Z900, I like that radiator cover where did you order it from? Also mine has the same exact rattle noise on acceleration it’s weird but I think it’s normal with the Z900.

    • @StreetLegalvlog

      I ordered the cover from AliExpress. I am hoping that it is normal. It’s such a weird sound

      I found my engine rattle a rock was on top of my radiator. It was just sitting there rattling away under acceleration. Take a flashlight and check any and all areas where rocks can get into.

      These store keep closing all the time and then they open a new one with a new name. It’s impossible to keep posting links. You would have to search AliExpress. It took me a couple of days to find everything. It’s a painful process but it’s worth it. Also the frame slider ram out of red so I found them on alibaba. It really took me time and patience to find everything
