I have literally tried to play this pack so much but I just can't. If I were a consumer who only had the base game and this monstrosity of a pack I would have spent $40 for bugs and glitches and sad gameplay. It feels like I just sit around waiting for something interesting to happen so that I can solve it as a landlord. This being an expansion should come with other gameplay as it's an EXPANSION. Satch is the only RUclipsr whose let'splays I actually watch as he makes playing the game worth while. Love the TMI in every video And love the honesty he brings while still making us laugh.

The pack is very boring. I agree with Satch when he said there could have been a burglar career to go with the break in mechanics but if course ea is too damn lazy

Right. Its bizzare the aspiration give you something to make things easier when the gameplay features by itself is ridiculous easy. Its mobile game level of easy, its not even fun.

Sims 4 has generally felt like it's up to you to find things to do, make up scenarios or challenges to justify playing the game at all anymore. More packs, doesn't matter if stuff or gameplay, can buy you only so much time until it's bland again. After Wedding Stories I am not surprised EA does no longer shy away from releasing broken packs and won't even update their customers on what's happening.
it is wild that the CORE FEATURE(and all other features) of this pack is still broken well over a week post-release. especially given that the issues were even noted by the early access simmers on their special 2nd version of the game with no other packs/cc to possibly break it.
obviously the sims 4 has no shame but you'd hope simmers would have seen that even the stuff shown by people incentivized to be nice was showing a broken game. this ain't what everyone's been begging for for years.

I've been playing with the pack the last couple of days and ran into game breaking bugs, such as:
-Not being able to save the game anymore after entering BB on a rental lot.
-Not being able to build on a freshly bought rental plot.
-Not being able to place roofs on a rental lot, thanks to stairs existing on the lot. + New Foundations create invisible, but not so invisible roofs you can't delete since they don't exist,(yet visible roofwalls), until you've reloaded the lot.
-After turning back a rental lot to a residential one, it being stuck in a rental lot. Forcing you to pay the insanely bugged amount of money as a landlord with 0 tenants. (manage worlds shows it to be rental, BB says residential)
-To then try and turn that back into a rental lot in BB only to have it stuck in a, not so rental, rental lot, owned by your sims, but not owned by your sims. Unable to make rental changes in BB (since it's not), and can't access it in Manage Worlds. You move out by paying broken contract money, only for it to forever be an untouchable lot under your sims name, but not to be under your sims name in Live Mode.
As usual, when I play this game it makes me become insane because of the bugs, and of course found a lot more of them of which aren't just related to For Rent.
But boy oh boy, I started this game again for the first time in a while to be reminded of how trashy it is. Lol.
No mods, all packs and what not.
Having a sim be a lvl 10 cook and lvl 3 gourmet cook makes you wait way too long on the fridge when you click, because of the of recipes it's loading. Racking up to 5-6 minutes if you'll like to have a ultimate chef cook sim, that can bake and cook anything.
I shouldn't have expected for this, in early access, buggy pack to function in anyway....
For the trash, check the roof with walls down. I've found lots of trash tends to turn up on top of the house. Yah, it's broken, but you can also pick up a piece of trash and drop it 5x and it will also complete. For mold spores, prank the toilets and clog the sinks/bathtubs so they break. Puddles of water make mold super fast.
the way i understand the "masculine sofa" thing 🤣 i usually use the one from industrial loft (?), werewolves or basement treasures, they scream "man who plays video games 24/7"

I absolutely loved how when TS3 your kleptomaniac sims would steal literally anything and it was totally random. They would steal stuff from their workplaces, resorts, other sims homes... It was madness!

Literally as soon as it started snowing I thought, "Oh no, Satch is gonna start bloody crying again!"🤣🤣
(A thousand people will probably tell you this, but…) Yes, the higher you get the mischief skill, the more expensive things you can swipe as a klepto. There is a cool down period after swiping, the more expensive, the longer the cool down (which is no fun…but it sort of gives the sense of the kleptomaniac gets an urge to steal, and once they’ve stolen, it calms the urge…so, it actually makes sense in real life.) Troll Teh Forumz does raise mischief skill really fast.

I love how you called For Rent "Get Glitchy". Even they fixed some of the bugs, i'm not surprised how buggy this pack is. I install it last night and uninstall it and went back to TS2 and the other non-sims games. Never in a million years would i play another MWS 2.0
Yes, the sims 4 is a building simulator, which is very evident by all the packs this year haha
And this pack fully broke it's new building aspects, which is hysterical. Now you can't even build lol.
Except this pack broke the build mode. I would say The Sims 4 is a "glitch simulator".
For the klepto trait and mischief skill... You can start with small, low value items and the higher you raise the mischief skill, the higher the value of items you can steal, up to computers and tvs. As far as I know, you cannot steal necessary items, like refrigerators, beds, and toilets; but you can steal decorative items, like paintings and clutter.

At this point, I feel like the sims 4 is “pretty screenshot” simulator. Especially now that build/buy is broken.
I’m proud of myself for not buying this pack. I do have FOMO but I’d rather have a game without FOR RENT than a game with bugs. I still have the bugs from whatever happened in the Eco pack. 😢
If they acknowledge that it’s broken, they’ll have to fix it.

i've had sims with the klepto trait(randomly generated, not chosen by me), and it seemed to be that they'd just randomly steal things from other places. i'd like get a notification that they stole something from work. or if they were at someone else's house they might steal some random thing without me doing anything. i never actually made any klepto sim steal stuff, they do it autonomously

Not sure if you know and if i can explain this properly but i found a good way to collect sim achievement points (when you needed them for the retrait potion) is to switch between all the achievements and any you’ve completed during playing will register as done gaining you the points
Literally disappointed that the pack is so broken. Coming from Thailand you dont see our country prominently featured like this. And to see that the pack is again another let down….

I tried to play with the for rent pack today and it is so buggy, I eventually gave up for the day cuz sometimes it'd show that my sim doesn't own any rentals (he's a landlord for an apartment).
I've had a pool algae problem, cursed book, tenant revolt, and bug outbreak and none of these have counted towards my aspiration 😢

You can raise the rent up within the grace period (after the lease ends), and that will bring no consequences :)
I threw a bbq and pool party with a mixologist, and my tenants had a blast. Suddenly, my property was 5 star.
I don't think they will fix anything in the nearest future about this pack

for klepto trait-you need higher mischief skill to steal higher priced items. like it starts wit just like lamps and then gets bigger. my sim married lilith, a klepto, and i made her enemies with nancy. she would go and fight her and every time id steal one very expensive item from her house.
The only reason I’d buy this pack is so I can do the Not So Berry challenge and have most of the sims on the same lot but with different households.
But I’m not buying it for that reason. £35 is a lot of money for a pack that does not work. Maybe if it gets fixed but I doubt it as My Wedding Story’s is still broken and it’s been a while since thats been launched.

10:11 two things: I’m exactly the same about snow, especially because I live in subtropical, Coastal Texas. I recently went on vacation to the mountains and it snowed while we were walking through the cute little town square that was lit with Christmas lights and I cried 😅🫣

I had two events and it brought me to level 5. The apartment was really good looking with very nice furniture.

1:10 I always put an lipped counter and a bench when I have no room anywhere. Realistically, you only need one counter to prep and serve food.

Stealing skill is dependent upon mischief. With a 10 in mischief you can steal high ticket items. Kids bring home stolen books from school. My heart is always so proud when they do, LOL.
Same here in the U.S rent and rent increases are ridiculous in some states ….😩😩😩🤷🏽♀️
You can purchase Mischief Skill Books from a bookshelf and there will be a filter for Skill Books even.
(Also, the Peace and Quiet Lot Trait will increase skill gain from books.)
Just keep in mind that if sims pick up and start reading a skill book that's at a higher or lower level than their skill level, they'll get negative moodlets instead of learning, but they may be able to continue reading a skill book beyond the recommended skill levels without consequence if they surpassed those levels while reading the skill book.
Level 1 - Skill level 0-3
Level 2 - Skill level 4-6
Level 3 - Skill level 7-10

I honestly can't live without the UI mod now. You really need it for the buggy mess that is this game.

I think you need to be in the room to see what you can steal? IDK. I seem to recall having to go into whatever room I wanted to vandalize.
Sims can walk/pathway through half tiles, so you can have a double bed in a 3 tile room & still woohoo in it without mods 😉

Minnesnowtan here, just keep crying over it in the video games! Once you have to drive in it consistently it becomes a lot more "ocean expedition." Like "Hmm I wonder if I'll make the journey to work alive or end up in a horrific accident because one snowflake occurred." Few years back I had to drive to college after it snowed, a once 45 minute drive became 2 and a half hours of pure hell on literal ice. This year, due to El Nino, we're having a British Christmas! Beyond moist, grey, and barren.

You know what's funny is they seem to have their game changers shilling merch at the moment. After releasing this pile of crap of a pack. I love some of those YTers don't get me wrong, but I'd rather sneeze while putting in a contact lens than purchase Sims merch on top of this garbage of an expansion. Get real, EA.
Could the money for decorating the houses be because The Boulder is marked as a played household and the other is not?
In bb mode you have unlimited money and no locked objects for families that are not marked as played [white plumbob] and limited budget for played families [green plumbob]. I don't remember which one for famielies that you moved in, but haven't played. I belive you know how to mark family as not played and then they'd have infinite money in bb too.
It make sense. I think the boulder is tagged as played because he entered in the family once to edit him in the cas.
Social services? The Sims 4 has no social services, so children are taken away by ✨ *_magic_* ✨

There's much excitement amongst simmers around the release of a new pack, hope for fun gameplay and content because they sell it so well, momentarily we forget how bad they actually are becuase we love.the game.so damn much. But I'm not getting this one- the sims in my regular game now have a glitch where people come over and never leave, eat all the food and piss themselves, I think it's related to the potluck event coding, and I hate it. The build mode items look nice, but the gameplay glitches are unacceptable, unfortunately noting will change unless a pack flops.

How is 4 rent still broken almost a month now and why is the rent still 4 mil like you can make rentals you just can’t afford to place any sims in the rental.
klepto trait is so annoying in ts4. you gotta get mischief like all the way up and then you still can't steal anything. back in ts3, you could open world travel to any of your neighbors' houses, steal their tv and their car, etc. and then actually watch your sim get arrested and taken away to jail. and if you had mods you could add in killing their whole family. ts4 has nothing on the masterpiece that was sims 3.

How is YTBERs having issues with their games?! I'm not this pack has been hella fun for me I rather play as a tenant than a landlord. Even as a landlord I got paid a lot but it was just too much for me, there is some broken elements for me but nothing as bad as Satch's game
