    Nice work! Came across this video trying to upgrade my 06 GS300 speakers. I’m still on with my 16 RX speakers for now. Hope the Lexus is still pushing clean

    I'm surprised the door contains such a enclosure like cavity. The doors of vessels I'd upgraded before were so wack. Thus, I've embraced things like JBL GO2 pair in wiring harness stereo. They legit sound like normal sized bookshelf speakers on a desk, in the small cockpit environment. Windscreen is like an acoustic lens. I just wedge them in to the dash/windshield in a triangular configuration relative to my head (drivers pointed at face) and play pink noise while I adjust the L/R balance until the imaging is centered. 1'st test flight I cried, and didn't even yearn for a sub. Plz steal muh tech car makers.

    wow you upgraded, nice 4 channel and dsp. you can ditch those component crossovers since your dsp will have better control

    • @Kpaceguy

      not necessarily. i may need more channels than what the DSP will give which i'll need the crossovers to achieve that

      No it really is trash. 8 speakers and a sub and it doesn't sound much better than a Kia factory system. So yes, upgrade. I've upgraded heavily on this car and disconnected the sub in the back hatch

    Ok so… I wanna replace my front door speakers in my 2014 is350 ( mark levinson premium) but there’s no aftermarket replacement that will fit, crutchfield has brackets for that? Also, do you recommend a sound processor being that little by little I’m gonna eventually replace all of my speakers? I was thinking audio control’s.. which one do you recommend? Your video was really informative, thank you!

    • @Kpaceguy
      @Kpaceguy  Год назад

      There are aftermarket speakers that will fit you just need to get brackets that change the shape to fit the factory opening. Crutchfield has some as well as speakers. I checked for you as well. I love my audio control but I didn't have the mark Levinson so I'd wait until you get all your new speakers and if you don't like the sound then get the audio Control and make your own changes

      I’m having the same issue. When I put my is350 w ml system in crutchfield they tell me they don’t have anything that fits….I ordered some I read on a forum and they didn’t work either. About to have to go the custom route and cut some myself.

  • @martin_wood

    How did the 3 dash speaker upgrade go? Which focal model worked? I heard that 4 inch infinity speakers don't fit and need to cut plastic for fit (club lexus post)

    • @Kpaceguy
      @Kpaceguy  Год назад

      The focals I used in this series worked perfectly. It's a 4in midrange from factory but the screw holes are weirdly positioned BUT the focals happened to fit the exact same way so everything was basically plug n play

      @@Kpaceguy Thank you for the reply! Did those speakers require an amp? I am trying to replace the speakers only and use stock (premium nav fsport power).

    • @Kpaceguy
      @Kpaceguy  Год назад +2

      @Martin Wood they don't require one but to get the most of it you'll want one. The factory radio still has its limitations regardless of the speakers you connect to it. So even if you buy more capable speakers, they still are held back by the head unit which is why I bought a processor
