Welcome to the sixth fight of the Elder Dragon tier Monster Hunter Sunbreak Tournament.
Fight 6: Furious Rajang VS Seething Bazelgeuse
Note:
Both monsters have EQUAL HP to keep fights fair.
All Monsters have lowered HP (keep fight length reasonable).
All other stats are all based on default values provided by Capcom
We also take no responsibility for any unusual A.I behaviour, as these are variables we cannot adjust.
These fights are not to be taken seriously and are not based on Monster Hunter Lore, I simply make them for people to watch and enjoy.

Dang, that fight was genuinely way closer then I expected. Furious Rajang put up one heck of a fight.
@Andro Blade never underestimate the monke, rajangs speed is something else in these fights and really helped him here
That was the perfect example of "Speed vs Power"
Ikr?? My god bazel is SOOO slow...but everytime he attack...monkey would be crying
I'm really surprised Rajang didn't manage to break Bazel out of the enraged state even once
I went into this one fully expecting the monke to win, easy, bc I thought his speed and aggression were a bad matchup for how slow & technical Bazel is relatively. And for most of the fight I seemed to be proved right even though I was surprised by how close the fight was... until the end where I was like, "hang on, is Bazel actually going to pull this one through" and he did. I'm shook but I should never have doubted you Bazel, you're my fave for a reason
@nerugiganon bazel maybe slow but them bombs can drain HP so fast and change the tide almost instantly
I think it has to do with the fact that bazel was passively dropping bombs just by moving around so even if he wasn’t able to finish a move he could still get some damage in.

Damn, this one was really tense! My nerves were going haywire at how stressful this fight was given how close it was and how many times one of them would overtake the over! But in the end, only the best moved on!

Okay, is probably my new favorite fight in a tournament. Every moment and every hit was just so nerve-wracking. Great video MSS.

Well in all honesty tho...his bomb did get nerfed...and his hp here in the match also got nerfed
But he gained a bit more speed tho in mhr
@@kiro253 In these fights I feel like his bombs did get buffed from their larger radius and being spread apart. Makes them a lot harder to deal with.

This fight would've been a lot more one sided if Bazel's nukes actually connected, but regardless, this fight was down to the wire AGAIN lmao
Is it? Bazel been on the back foot the whole fight...always 500hp less that rajang...but as always...he pull through...i mean he have more attack moves when he is about to die
@@kiro253 bazel nukes hit around 1k dmg for monsters if I remember correctly, they just never connect due to their very strange hitbox (should be expanded tbh)
It would've, at the very least, kept them at consistent health thresholds throughout the entire fight, that's for sure.

Espinas will be such a good Target for it, and all its Bombs.
@@Sunaki1000 It's more so a general problem with the nuke, as in, I've never seen anyone or anything hit by it unless they were stunned lmao
@Wacky i think rajang being a smaller target helped a lot in this fight a lot
Always a joy watching invaders utterly trash each other but I'm glad my boy pulled through. And as an Espinas enjoyer, I am GREATLY looking forward to the grand finals.
This was very intense. Monkee lost to gunpowder, just like IRL
11:48 was epic, rajang fires a salvo of attacks at bazel and leaps out of the way of seething charge attack, then slams onto her tail
12:10 was epic too, rajang flies into the air, dodging seethings attack, and slams into her
13:06 bazel throws her scales at rajang hitting him from the ba- i mean, attacking him from behind pushing him to 1 hp and does it again then slams him into the wall to stop him from escaping, finishing their battle with a glorious explosion
This fight was really intense! Rajang really had no chill, but Bazel was able to keep up and even win it thanks to his bombs. I honestly thought Rajang had it, especially with how Bazel missed his ultimate not once, but twice. Even though Rajang was able to dodge it, he still came out on top. I'm very excited for the next fight and it's sure to be an explosive one. It's basically nukes VS bombs.
@Kharnix I honestly though seething would have won this one more convincingly before this fight, especially because Rajang for me didn't feel like it was well equipped to handle something like Bazel. I was proven wrong however, it almost stole it near the end. I feel like it's going to be a case of speed (F espinas) vs strength (S bazel) in the next fight, although both are really tanky.
That 1 bomb he dropped at 13:00 made all the difference
Dang just like many others have stated this fight was truly close and extraordinarily intense, this was truly a battle of rivalry. Both combatants kept each other at bay all throughout the fight to the point ya couldn’t tell who was really gonna come out on top but bazel ultimately prevailed and kept fate unchanged like last time.
Now we finally get the fight I’ve always wanted to see Espinas against Bazelgeuse may the best flying wyvern win !!!!!!!!! It’s also comical that the 2 monsters that were the most least expected to get to the finals are in the finals, this is the true since of don’t judge a book by its cover lol.

Such a great fight! Probably my favorite so far! Before this I also had to argue with an idiot, who stated the black dragons are under velkhana tier in strenght lol.
What a tense fight! When Seething seemed exhausted right at the end I was fully expecting Furious to stunlock him till the end, but he still prevailed!
(Off I go to rewatch the Iceborne version lol)
Man, these just keep getting better and better and hooooo boy can I not wait for the final round. I voted for bazel not because I expected it, but just because I adore bazel. To see him *win*, and in such a close finish? My day is made. I honestly don't know who to root for in the next round, I love both Seething Bazel and Flaming Espinas, I'll be happy with whoever wins.
it was a really intense fight, rajang almost had it but seething pull through somehow. The final is looking a very tight fight with flaming having beat a tournament fav scorned and seething is just a beast in these fights. All i'm gonna say is its gonna be an explosive showdown 👍
13:06 I have never seen bazel threw some scales while flying backwards is this like a rare attack or something?
@Vortigan 656 Yeah I've only ever seen it do it once before this fight. I am assuming it does this under very specific conditions.

When I fought him the Bazelgeuse does that attack I was panicking cause I did suspect that and then I died because of that attack and also he didn’t even shake!!!!!!!!
I thought Bazelgeuse supposed to shake to release their bomb scales!

Furious Rajang beats Violet Mizu and Violet Mizu beats Seething Bagel. Now Seething Bagel beats Furious Rajang. It’s a pretty cool rock-paper-scissors concept.
God damn that was awesome! Not as fun or as close as furious vs Violet for me but god damn was this a good one!!!! This tournament as been awesome so far!!!!!!!
Not gonna lie even though I was rooting for Bazel I thought it was gonna lose, especially when it became exhausted at the end! If Bazel hadn’t of rallied last second I reckon Rajang would of won!

@Antonio Andrew Tan Yeah judging by the opening few minutes Furious definitely looked stronger, but now we have really tense show down between two really aggressive wyverns.

I underestimated how much of a problem seething's bombs would be for furious; I thought furious would staggerlock seething to death and would be able to avoid the bombs due to the size difference.

Damn! I really thought Furious Rajang would have won. It kept staggering bazelgeuse so many times, and when they both got to low hp, I was like “c’mon rajang, you can do this! Just keep him at bay! Use range! You can stagger some more and deal big damage!” And I was all like “ohh NOO! When rajang took the last three hits.

Isn't Furious Rajang supposed to have lower max HP, naturally? Given how close the fight is, Seething Bazelgeuse should have an upper hand, had their HP reflected the natural difference.
It's kinda bs for rajaing lol a lot of his ranged attacks only hit once like his cackling earth move should hit like 6 times but only 1 hits or his jump and 6 shots and blow up only hit like 1 time

@Piero Pittaluga Yeah Rajang has been a little underwhelming in sunbreak, but I gotta say it has been up against some top class opposition so far; I'm sure it will get some more victories sooner or later.
@@MonsterSlayerSquad I think the best improvement they gave him was more AoE attacks,because the thunder fissures and the giant boulder really helped him out in this one. And yeah,of course Rajang will recover his throne as beast of beasts one day!
If the Flaming Espinas OR the Seething Bazelgeuse wins in the next Death Match tournament, what if the next competitor were a Chaotic Gore Magala.

Rajang hits hard and fast. Bazel hits hard and has a very wide area of effect. Both styles are extremely effective. Out of ten fights I’d say it could easily go half and half

He definitely could have, but unfortunately he kept using some more lack luster moves in his moveset, if he had done some more beaming and punching at the end (and also dodging) he could have won

With everything considered, Seething will probably beat Orange Espinas even if Orange is more likely to win in lore
Flaming Espinas cannot beat seething bazelguese in lore - seething bazelguese is a rival to savage deviljho. Savage deviljho, seething bazelguese and furious rajang are the three just below elder dragons
@@harrisqureshi3587 Regular Espinas alone is Elder dragon level as is with Orange being even stronger with White and Zenith Espinas at the top. Not to mention all the status effects, extra tough armor etc with Frontier's higher power levels.
@@bobsmith8405 sorry but even in monster hunter rise Espinas' threat level is only 7, bazelguese has a threat level of 8. The monsters that are just below elder dragons are deviljho, bazelguese and rajang. Regular espinas is a strong flying wyvern no doubt, but is still below the regular versions of those three.
@@harrisqureshi3587 The threat levels are not lore accurate to their strength. Seething Bazelgeuse is at 9 stars being higher than the actual Elder dragons at 8 stars, Shagaru has a lower level than Chaotic Gore even though he's the stronger complete adult form, Daiymo Hermituar has a higher level than Rathian, etc
@@bobsmith8405 ah okay you're right, espinas is an elder dragon level monster but I would still put him below bazel, deviljho and rajang - I feel that those three are in a class of their own and are rivals to each other for a reason

Also Bazelgeuse is literally to different/broken why because he flies to much, he bites, he shoots a fireball, and the hipcheck (although he did use the hipcheck in world but I hate that attack so it counts)
