That graph is how I'm hoping to justify my preorder for Masterpiece Reboost. A few months down the line and I'm only moderately regretting it. By September I'll be entirely guilt free! Do like this guy's look. Certainly hits that 90s X-Men colour palette that I miss in comics these days. Nice bold clean colours that pop.
Makes me think of the old Marvel vs. X-Men fighting game I used to play with my pals at the bowling alley/arcade hybrid, I'd always make em waste their quarters using Cyclops's fireball motion optic blasts
I'm glad you reviewed this because despite the naff paint application on the figures, I think the actual X-Spanse itself is pretty neat. Thanks for showing it off!
"As tight as Hugh Jackman's ARSE!" Everyone in the pub immediately raises beer mugs and shouts, to toast that man's arse. I'm not even from the UK, neither is Hugh Jackman, but I feel like this is appropriate never the less.
What I do for loose tailfins and the like is, pop the piece off, brush a little bit of clear nail polish on the connecty bits, then let it dry for a few minutes before popping it back in again. I like Sally Hansen's Tough As Nails Strengthening Top Coat.
@@TRDQ I've modded craploads of joints like this. Some tips: The smaller the joint, the less you need. The more you apply, the more you should let it dry. Since the goal is more friction, wipe most of the polish off the brush on the edge of the bottle, and stiple it onto the plastic. Bumpy is better than smooth. Also, for fixing just a little bit of looseness, try applying it to just one side of the connection. Putting polish on both sides will grip a lot more, so you may not need that for something as small as a fin or a Minicon limb. I have often needed to polish both the ball and socket of Siege and Earthrise hip joints. And try whenever possible to separate the joint first. This can be done unseparated, like on pinned hinges, but go lightly. I once accidentally glued poor Fansproject Munitioner's hip in place because I slopped some right in the un-popped ball joint and it dried and wouldn't move. So long as everything's dry before you reconnect, I've never once had any pieces fuse together after the fix, even if they sat in a box for a long time. For really serious loose bits, you can also do this with Krazy Glue. That's nerve-wracking. And DEFINITELY disassemble everything and let it dry thoroughly first. Nail polish is like grippy rubber. Krazy Glue is like actually building up a new layer of rigid plastic. It's a lot more permanent. Though both substances can be gently scraped down with a hobby knife if you add too much.
I ALMOST didn't order him, but it was a couple months after it had been off pre-order and Target had a deal to sign up for their online thing and get 50% off something, so I chose this. I only did it because I'm a fan of the crossover figures, but I can't help buy wonder WHY they chose this, there are so many other, better choices they could have made. I know part of it stems from copyrights, but still, the X-jet? Seriously? We had the Ecto-1 (twice, even), the Delorean and the Tomcat from Top Gun. It just seems like they were hard pressed to get something out there. I haven't even opened it...
I picked this up for £15 in a new year's sale at the Entertainer you can pick it up for just under £30 now at the Entertainer much more reasonable price to the 80 to £95 they were asking for to begin with
his face kinda looks like a heroic version of an Energon Scorpinok head. idk, it's probably the way the visor flips up. wonder how many will use the weird ab crunch.
Well.. The figure as an whole is an mixed bag. The jet mode is done very well, but robot mode with his kibble isn't the nicest thing. Plus those "blast effeckt" blades are the only thing that he can hold as weapons. And they can't be used as regular blast effeckt's. And the minifigures are the waste of plastic...
Love how you reason spending cash on toys Gavin. Im going to blame past me for his spending, and just to teach him a lesson I'm going use all his new stuff. Fairs fair!
That graph is exactly how I justified pre ordering black zarack while unemployed. Gonna be a great surprise for future me. I'm sure he'll love it!
One of the most interesting things about this toy is how they retooled the Studio Series Jetfire to make a... proportional robot
when the blast is optic
As for looking up at Planes, I don't tend look up at them, but I do enjoy driving past them :)

That Wolverine is a SKRULL!!
heheh, "just pre-order it, you'll have the money by then"
*by then comes*
OH SHIT that was a lot of money >.

Oh nice thank you

I don't think I've ever heard something more accurate
"When have you ever really looked up at a plane?"
visible confusion
Everybody loves a good *OPTIC BLAST*

This makes me miss the Star Wars Transformers crossovers. Almost.
It does not make me miss that Punisher with gun barrel crotch
OPTIC BLAST!
I'm hoping to pick mine up tomorrow after I missed the delivery
Awesome. I use the same guilt pre order thing

if I get it someday I might just customize it into overlord
2 in 2 days Gavin you spoil us.
Holy heck, I didn't think I'd ever see you review something so recent.
Psylocke’s face butterfly getting no love from Gavin
This, gigawatt, and the jurassic park crossover look pretty good, that megatron gi Joe one though, Eugh! Ick!
First off Gav the look up at a plane joke got me good, and second im going back 6 moths ago to preorder this lad do ya want anything?
This and the jurassic park thing are the 2 only crossover figures i'm interested in
hey this is a heavy remold of the studio series jetfire it has so many similar parts to it
The Natural Philosophers will NOT stand for this!!!
I blame shit on past me too!
Although I have been trying to be nicer to future me....

As a marvel fangirl I'd love it if it was literally anyone other than Cyclops

Pants
I'd collect all these cross over toys if they wernt bend me over expensive... well not the top gun one that looks like a pile of pish
If someone turnt up at my door with one for free I'd tell them they've knocked the wrong door
Stop it, Gavin. Stop being a horrible influence with that graph lol.
its just a shitty retool of ROTF Jetfire
