Do you ask before taking the photo? I am starting to. A woman yelled in my direction when I was taking photos of a crowd, "She's pointing that camera without asking permission!!!!!" I changed immediately. I ask and people now usually smile and pose! :)

U don't need permission if where u phitopgrpah if is in public space....
There is no public right to privacy in public in many Western countries but I understand things can be trick in Germany.
His work is far more interesting than that of Cartier-Bresson
