When he was brought on the map to K and the G in '79, he changed that group into a hit making band. Whether it was throwdown great dance hits or romantic ballads. Before his days with the group, i only knew handful of their funk stuff. I was not too impressed til he came onboard.

They where sitting there in the back and I said that’s James Taylor!!!!!! Being maybe 21 or so I ran over there sat beside him and said can I have your autograph. He politely wrote a nice sentiment. “Cherish the love”. And wrote my name too, it was a great concert and it made my evening to get his autograph that night. He didn’t act like I was some groupy and he was sweet I could definitely tell. He could have seen me as a starry eyed white woman (which I acted like) but he wasn’t like that. Made me love this group even more.

Looks great! Love him! As a DJ of 30 years Kool and the gang widely underrated! They were so talented. Saw them 5 times back in the day. Couldn't sit still! A very smooth voice with great energy at the same time. Very hard to do!

I was a fan of Kool & The Gang since they 1st came out, Jungle Boogie was my jam. He still looks great! You know what they say, *BLACK DON'T CRACK!!!!!* Of course not, *WE ARE THE REALLLLLLL ISRAELITES, THE CHILDREN OF THE MOST HIGH!!!!!*
