I had a very hard childhood. I could listen to Rick Hanson for hours and hours. Just his voice even without words makes me calm. For me he is the Mr Rogers for grown ups. If the whole world listened to him we’d live in a beautiful world.

Well put! I've been taking his courses and accessing material from his sites for several years now and it's just helped me so much to heal and find new better more connected and compassionate ways of being alive. He's my number one go to when I'm feeling lost

Yes, it’s so true. I have often described him to people as like a Buddhist Mr Rogers. And when I met him at a training I told him this and he said he loved that and considered it a huge compliment! Bless Dr Hanson for being such a light and inspiration for us! 💜

I'm glad I can understand this concept now if only I could remember in the moment. I think I'll listen again every day for a week. Maybe that will help? It's so hard to regulate while working overnight. I come home and can't sleep. I just replay the night in my mind and worry about the next night.

It is usually someone in a life long profitable trance who offends me. The problem is you can see it coming. Going to work can be like expecting baseballs to be thrown at you or encountering inappropriate interests from someone whom culture approves of (dear ol' mom).

Interesting point. I am currently working and agree with the baseball simile.
