I certainly hear you on the mom clean! 😂 I have 3 girls, and once they were old enough they were responsible for cleaning their own rooms. Sometimes, though, I couldn’t resist the pull to clean them, especially when company was coming 🤣! I am happy to say that all 3 now keep their own homes quite tidy.
After watching you put that comforter cover back on and seeing how easily you did it, I am rethinking getting one. It would be so nice to be able to wash the covering on the bed, especially after my two cats have been laying on it.
Thank you so much for your inspiration! My home definitely needs a reset since I’ve been out of commission the past few weeks with knee replacement recovery. My husband is doing a great job, but it isn’t “mom clean.”😉 He does the yard work (we also have live oaks) as well as the cooking, laundry, and cleaning, couldn’t make it without him.

So glad you have taught Peyton how to do some of the every day things, my kids did not learn( to many thing to do then clean) till they moved away from home and went to school and it was like a light bulb went on that they did not know how, so many phone tutorials all the time, the best is doing the ironing over the phone. I like your saying a mom's clean I'm going to remember that one to use when I hear you just did that not to long ago. I think your whole house has come a long way, for all that is going on now a days. Stay patient it will all come together soon. Will see you soon.
Thank you Ginger! I’m far from perfect in that, but we live and learn. I had a good laugh imagining ironing lessons over the phone. 😂 That’s something I haven’t really taught , but if I can figure how to make Payton care about looking nicely dressed, then we will move on to ironing. 🤣

But the joy we feel once everything is done makes us forget those more difficult times! When I saw you husband cleaning the pool, I was reminded of the first time my husband cleaned the pool we had at a previous house. He had put too much of a product, I think it was algicide, and an abundant foam covered the whole surface of the water. Our pool looked like a giant bath filled with bubble bath! Eventually, he found a way to fix the problem, and we spent wonderful hours swimming in the pool! I miss that pool now that we live in a condo apartment!

@@FaithandFlour I had to laugh when you mentioned how Payton’s room could use a “mothers cleaning”. Years ago when my daughter, husband and grandbabies went on vacation my friend and I would go to their house and give it a “moms touch” cleaning. Did the same for her daughter/husband too. Ha! Us Moms are always thinking about a “moms cleaning touch”.

Your home is looking so nice! I made biscuits this morning and also planted annuals this past week. I’ve started a new flower bed so lots of perennials planted! Spring is such a busy time here. I have a few hens and a rooster so I purchased some chicks and don’t you know, two days later, one of my hens is sitting! Looks like I’ll be giving away eggs this fall! Also planting the vegetable gardens and my house is looking like a disaster inside. I’ll be watching this video again tomorrow to get me going inside.

Great progress. Lee and our son Daniel don't clean their rooms. I sometimes straighten up but no sense in organizing them as they wouldn't keep it up. Lee will clean carpets, take care of the lawn, and paint. I do everything else.
Every day your home looks more like your style. I love it. Spring is here. But ours is a bit different. We get cold, wind, snow, rain and some sunny days. Haha I dont dare put plants out yet. Our mountains got a new blanket of snow last week. So I need to be patient. Thanks for sharing your life with us

I woke up this morning and my first thought was, "Is today Sunday? Yes! It's Robin day!" Your new home is coming along so nicely. If I can offer a bit of advice about the tile, pick one that speaks to your soul instantly and directly and you can't take your eyes off it. Like every time you see it, you get all tingly inside. 2 years ago we replaced all of the flooring in our home LVP and tile. Tile is in the foyer and the two bathrooms - the tile I saw online for the master bath I feel in love with it right away - like the "i just knew" kind of in love. But I was still undecided about the second tile, which I also loved (and now you see everywhere these days), but ultimately decided on my true love tile for the master bath and the second love tile for the foyer. Everyday I walk in to my bathroom - I STILL LOVE it. Everyday I walk past the foyer, I'm already over it - still pretty, but just over it. WORSE, the second/guest bathroom was a last minute addition to our reno and I didn't find anything I like remotely as much as I liked the first two AND I needed something that worked with the vanity top already BUT would coordinate with the other two. So I went with a gray version of the foyer tile and, I mean it's alright, but it was a second/good enough thought. I also wanted to highlight the opposite pattern of the tile and chose to install it funky. No Bueno. Anyway, all of this to say, go with your initial gut feeling and a tile you LOVE (even if it may be a more spendy choice than others) because once it's in, it's in. Wow, this was much longer than I intended, but I hope it helps. It also helps to place the tile where you intend to install it and live with it for a couple of days or take pictures of the contenders and then see how you feel with it in your space. I also know that the Government encourages us to do this as well for natural disasters. I’m curious if your husbands family overseas has indicated that they are being encouraged to to the same and maybe even more than the norm. Thank you Robin for another excellent video. A tip for your pretty flower pots on your deck. Elevate the plant pots with pot feet or plant rollers so that the air can circulate underneath. Otherwise the trapped moisture will cause mould which will permanently stain your deck and may even cause wood rot. Keep the videos coming, I always look forward to watching them! Thank you Sherry! I don’t have links because we bought those quite a while ago. I think the Duvet came from The Company Store. It’s a lightweight down alternative. I don’t remember where I got the cover, but you can find one like it on Amazon.
