I'm in the US and have always wanted to visit Scotland. It's just beautiful! We plan to retire into a van and travel. We would have to get used to driving on the other side of the road! Also on the other side of the van as well. I think we would manage. You spoke of not wanting to travel and I was the same way when my husband brought the idea of a camper to me. I said; "I have my own home. Why in the world would I want to go stay in a camper?" Boy was I wrong! We got into a camper and he couldn't get me out of it for 4 years! Glad you had a good time in Scotland!
Thank you for showing how stunning Scotland is. Your videography is amazingly done and really shows the realness of how untouched some places in Scotland are. I live in Aberdeenshire in a small village outside Aboyne and I love the views i have at my door step.
I am now addicted to your videos, they are fantastic, love Scotland, doing our charity walk in June Scotland raising money for Contact The Elderly, 190miles, can't wait. Keep up the good videos, enjoy...
Thank you 😊 wow 190 miles, that will be quite some journey!! I am sure there will be highs and lows, but the memories you will make!! Hope it goes really well for you 🤗
That is a lovely adventure for you and your son to embark upon. Get them into the wilderness whilst they are still young enough to see the adventure in the world. I wish we had discovered this way of life before our daughter was to old to appreciate it. She thinks we are crazy 🤦🏻♀️
Glen Etive is just so beautiful, I stayed there for a week in 2008 and then went to cape wrath and bettyhill which is faboulus, am going again next year, thanks for posting
Hello to the two of you. Absolutely loved this video you put together. The content.. the music.. the editing were fantastic. Looking forward to the next chapter. All the very best and thank you for sharing. Cheers Gary
Great fun revisiting this vid in the midst of all this lockdown stuff. I miss the days when you were posting regularly. Beautiful photography and scenery.
I have to be very honest and say I stopped watching you for a bit because I was finding your videos a little contrived but I have to say I have loved this one. It's on a different level altogether. A more honest and chilled presentation. I loved the candid chat about your fear of leaving your comfort zone to travel. I was the traveller in mine and my late partners relationship but she soon enjoyed herself once we were on the road and often didn't relish the thought of heading home at the end of an adventure. Keep the vlogs coming. Truly inspirational!
beautiful! on our wedding day we flew up to Glasgow, where we stayed the night not realising that trains didn't run on Sunday (1976). we caught the 'underground' as far as it would take us up Loch Lomond. Quite a way along the road we saw a b&b sign up to the left - there in the hills we had to take our soap and towels to the river as it was the 'year of the drought' and the next morning were told to "just follow the wee burn" over to Oban - a gorgeous day - then over to Mull. We hitchhiked our way back from Scotland to London via Cheshire where we learnt to milk cows....
This is such a beautiful story!! Wish there had been easy to use video cameras then, would love to watch this film!! Thank you for watching ours 😊 part 3 is out tomorrow 🤗
Scotland is so beautiful. We never tire of it. Often take a month of in September in The Best (our Moho’s name) and travel where ever the road takes us.
Love the chit chat between you two. Your photography and filming is regularly some of the best on RUclips. Looking forward to seeing more of your work, take care 😎
I love the part when you guys where sitting in the van (where the sliding door is) and just conversing as if no camera was around. it had an organic feel to it. a touch of your personal life, raw, genuine sounding conversation. brilliant idea that was 👌
Greetings from Lake Saint Louis, Missouri, USA....This has been a delight....you do such a wonderful job. I look forward to continuing the journey with you :)
That was epicly brilliant! 😁 Great filming. The weather looked amazing, I couldn't think of any better place to wake up to than at 5:45! The bridge across to Skye really did it for me when I was there, the view was incredible!
I think I said that about Wales and steroids. Any how, what a wonderful video Ellie and Scot. I must say something here. I resonated so deeply with what you were saying about the beauty and magic of it all. Here's the point. The one thing I take from my time with my dear twin brother Paul is the beauty we immersed ourselves in together. On reflection they were sacred moments and they provide a channel to Paul that's priceless. Good on you both - keep immersing yourself in that beauty. It's a sacred time. All the best. Mark
It really does get all the sense going doesn’t it, there will always be a sense of nostalgia once experienced, special times 😊 thanks for your support Mark
Great stuff guys and welcome to Scotland. Enjoyed the vid (and the music) I drive along those roads regularly and you never ever get bored of the scenery. Enjoy Skye I'll be there for 4 days next month with my boat could have taken you guys out caught some fish, coz you can't beat deep fried battered pollock cooked on the camp fire. Keep up the good work, have fun and enjoy!
Thanks David. We would have loved that, that is one thing we said we wish we could have done, was gone out on a boat, so expensive to hire boats and the chartered boat trips were expensive too!

There is another viewpoint all the way up North called Rubha Neish. Less crowded and just as beautifull. Small carpark and a 2,5 km walk to a bothy. But don't go up to the bothy ... go to the end to the kissing gate - stay left off the bothy and go all the way down. Looks scarier then it is. You 'll be all alone and the views are breathtaking.
WOW That looks fantastic, thanks for sharing, missed you guys would love to see some of your stills, Flo is looking pucker ,my wife just said lets go to scotland for our holidays this year!!! think you might of started something!!
Thank you 😊 Scott shares some of his pictures on his Instagram account @scott_free_outdoors That is great to have shared inspiration for Scotland, I am sure you and your wife would love it there! 😊
I really what you guys produce. No reviews, no merch, no partnerships with brands. Just amazing content and beautifully shot and you always show what you're eating which tops it all for me! :) Can't wait to see future episodes.
To be fair though, it is expensive making these films, with maintenance (our old van struggled keep watching the series and all will be revealed), fuel, food and LPG, this trip cost us over £1000. We couldn’t afford it and financially we are struggling. The adventures are one thing but we have to come home to bills just like everyone else. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to keep producing the content. It’s a difficult one.
Great movie! Makes me really look forward to our trip to Scotland, can't wait! 😍 And you are such a lovely couple, really enjoying your conversations in between the scenery sequences 👍
I love taking our T4 up to Scotland, it's what road trips should be! Just found your channel, really great production quality. I'm going to have to check out some more of your videos! Cheers.
Wow, amazing video...I don't think I can put myself through the pain of part 2 though. Insanely jealous of you guys..This is all I want my life to be...Just got to finish this damn van conversion.
Sounds like a good motivator, you have a van, you are already half way there. Many Early mornings and late nights saw us get our old girl back on the road, it was hard work but so worth it 🤗 good luck getting your van finished, summer is coming 😊
Actually half way there with the conversion already. Only taken a year... But yes summer is coming and your video has given me some fire to get stuck into it again. Thanks! And good luck with your future endeavours.
I have been going up to Scotland off and on all my life and I absolutely love it. Just found your channel and love your blogs subscribed straight away. Last visit was to the Isle of Arran and omg stunning place .
Lovely to follow you around on your adventures. That countryside is just gorgeous and so beautifully captured by your excellent videography. I envy you. 👍🏼😉
Magic as ever guys makes me want to pack up the van a head out. If you get a chance you should head right up north to the Orkney island (thats where i live) is also very magical.
Always enjoy following your adventures. You probably already know but thought I'd share it, motorway services are now required by law to provide showers 24/7. Looking foward to part 2.....
Brilliant video, you're films just keep getting better and better! We're following in your footsteps (from almost as far south in the UK, to the furthest North) in three weeks time, so this is a great taster for us. Looking forward to seeing the rest!
I am a bit like you ,im happy where i am , but at the same time i want to go exploring .I love your philosophy " if you like it ,stop " thanks for a brilliant video Scott and Elli keep the vids coming.
Loved this so much - your filming and editing is outstanding. I've been to Scotland a few times (both my parents were born there) and the last time we toured around in a motorhome. This made me want to go back so much.
Thanks Libby, that is really kind of you to say 🤗 that is lovely that your parents took you there, did you enjoy it as a child? My Mum lived on the Isle of Bute as a child and always talked of going there, but never did, such a shame.
I realized my comment was badly worded. My parents only went back once as adults - my Mum hated to fly - or so she thought till last year when they went back for the second time (now both in their 70s). She's realized flying (in business class) is quite ok and they are going back again this year :-). Making up for lost time I guess. I've been with my hubby twice, and my Dad joined my family (my kids were 11 and 9) for the motorhome trip. I've actually been to the Bute - I'm mad about castles and Scottish history so have to tried to visit a lot of them. Bute is lovely - the bluebells were out when we were there :-).
Not got to the bottom of the comments, but I obviously started with a later video when you were on Skye. What do you guys do for a day job? Brilliant ambassadors for our small country with your videos, they will surely inspire so many to come and visit Scotland off season and go further than just visiting the big cities. Never mind the series and box sets on Amazon Prime, Netflics, this is far more uplifting and entertaining. Quality of footage, narration and editing beyond belief, are you a professional vlogger? #VisitScotland #BeautifulScotland
Thank you for your kind words, we do not travel full time, we are weekend warriors! By day we are both full time film and media degree students, Scott is a 2nd year and I am in my third year. We have a 16 year old child and a home to support, bills to pay, I work part time as a support worker in a residential training centre for further education students on the autism spectrum. We also buy and sell vintage photography equipment. RUclips is a hobby and brings in nothing more than a little bit of pocket money
Great, hope to 'bump into to you" on the road one day (not literarily). We are in Glasgow, near the M74 if you ever need a secure over night parking stop. We have had our MH since 2015, done some off grid stuff in the Harris & Lewis, my wife prefers camp sites if they are available. That may change the more we do, now I'm no longer working full time in the corporate world. Just looked at your page, have plenty to keep me going whilst my broken ankle heals. Had to cancel our travel plans for April & May in the van.
Reminds of a guy and his wife from Birmingham who I played a game of Golf with! Had never visited Scotland until in their 50s and now can get enough! (their words)
Wow it looks stunning there! The snow on the mountains is unreal. What do you guys do for heating? I think I'm going to get some LED floodlights on my bumper like you. Scottish highlands is added to my list now. Inspiring videos thanks so much Morgan's!
Great episode guys, look forward to more👍Haven’t been told Scotland since I were a young lad. May have to make that one trip I do once the van build is complete 😊 Keep posting those great videos guys 👍🚌
I'm 50 this year and am going to hire a motorhome for 2 weeks and tour Scotland in early autumn. I have a T6 Kombi but won't be taking that, this is whetting my appetite.
Thank you 😊 They have them in other train stations too, they are for the Caledonian sleeper train, but anyone can pay to use them. We used the showers at Inverness train station too.
Great video, new subscribers here! We’ve not ventured up to Scotland yet but it’s definitely on the list once we’ve completed our van build. Thanks for sharing, great footage :)
At last, great to see this up today, only to be tainted by Mrs M admitting to cheating on North Wales, but from a North Walian, Scotland is stunning, once again thanks to you both and keep up the good work ATB
They need to start first come first on bookings with Skye & limit numbers, its become a major problem. Very glad after a night wild camping in Mallaig in our campervan, we decided to give Skye a miss (August). Great video but would love hear in the video where you are, which loch & road number ect. I am sure you'll have moved by the time we see the video. Can't wait for the next instalment.😁
Thanks for watching 😊 It is for this reason that we do not share specific locations in a public space. But always happy to share with people who contact us privately and we can see they are genuine people, who will respect the places they visit 🚐🤗
Okay, thanks. I just thought it would add content. Lots of people say where they are because they have moved by the time the video comes out. Sorry for repeating myself. You never know, you might reconsider. All the same a great vlog.
Yeah it would be nice to put more about the locations, but lots of people get quite upset about it unfortunately. The Indie Projects even got attacked by a crazy angry guy when they shared the name of a location in Portugal. Have to be careful. Major places we will share in our videos, but quieter spots we will share by PM only 😊
I'm in the US and have always wanted to visit Scotland. It's just beautiful! We plan to retire into a van and travel. We would have to get used to driving on the other side of the road! It’s watching videos like this that make me want to pack up and drive away 👍
Haha we know that feeling all too well 😉🚐
this is what me and my son are doing this year. Scotland for a tour cant wait. the scenery looks stunning
That is a lovely adventure for you and your son to embark upon. Get them into the wilderness whilst they are still young enough to see the adventure in the world. I wish we had discovered this way of life before our daughter was to old to appreciate it. She thinks we are crazy 🤦🏻♀️

Thanks Andrew, really appreciate that 🤗

Scotland has been on our wish list for ever, so we wanted this film to be a bit more soulful as it meant a lot to us. Thank you for your kind words 🚐🤗

You both make the best RUclips video I've ever watched (BEAUTIFUL)
That is really kind of you, thank you 😊
That was epicly brilliant! 😁 Great filming. The weather looked amazing, I couldn't think of any better place to wake up to than at 5:45! The bridge across to Skye really did it for me when I was there, the view was incredible!
Cheers Pete. We were so lucky with the weather! That park up was next to lake Tulla, it was so beautiful there! Skye was a very special place 🤗
Done this and 6 hours to get to Loch Lomond, love Scotland and have some great videos of Skye
Such an exciting and cold adventure! I love Scotland! It is so beautiful!
Thank you, it was certainly fresh but so beautiful in the sunshine, we were so lucky with the weather! 🤗
wow, guy's, it's so Beautiful seeing Scottland.
It is a very special place 🚐💕
Some very good shots ... I live in fort William ..hope you catch some of the rare glimpses of good weather this time of year offers
Thank you. What a great place to live. We really were blessed by the weather, very lucky indeed 😊
Nice one guys, Cant wait to get back up there in our new van.
You’ve just raised the benchmark. Lovely video, lovely couple.
Thank you Peter 🤗
A deep sense for sure. Special without doubt. A pleasure to comment...
Cracking vid, just pressed the subscribe button. It's so nice to see a 'proper' van rather than all these mega expensive 'show homes' that people seem to like driving,
There is another viewpoint all the way up North called Rubha Neish.
Sounds awesome, if you can find places away from the tourist spots there is lots to discover 😊
Absolutely great vid, 👍
Brilliant video guys, thanks X
Cheers Matt 🤗
Great video guys. Scotland haste’s ye back
Thank you, We have Autumn pencilled in for Scotland, once those midges have retired from their summer duties 😉
Explorer Buddies Very wise.
Absolutely epic, such a great video.180 degrees brilliant documentary .Your video series will be on a par.

There is just so much to see, we didn’t even scratch the surface on our trip, we will be back for more 🤗
Very good. You don't need to go abroad with stunning countryside like that. Bring on part two. ☺☺
Torquay is nice too. 😊
It was very beautiful, we felt like we were abroad the whole time we were there!
love the show folks, top class footage regards Cliff and family x
Thank you Cliff and family, really glad you enjoyed it 🤗
Beautifully filmed! Professional quality. I am wondering how you did the aerial shots. So enjoyed watching, it was inspiring.
Thanks Deborah 😊 the aerial shots are filmed with a drone, which Scott flys whilst Ellie drives
@@ExplorerBuddies Absolutely brilliant! Thank you again for such a wonderful film. xx

That may change the more we do, now I'm no longer working full time in the corporate world.
Just looked at your page, have plenty to keep me going whilst my broken ankle heals. Had to cancel our travel plans for April & May in the van.
That’s really kind of you thanks 🤗 Sorry to hear about your ankle, hope it heals swiftly and you will be back on the road for more adventures ☺️
Reminds of a guy and his wife from Birmingham who I played a game of Golf with! Had never visited Scotland until in their 50s and now can get enough! (their words)
Haha I’m sure he’s not the only one. We will definitely be back 🤗
Really enjoyed this episode 1. Looking forward to seeing the rest! Beautiful scenery and great wild camping spots.
Thanks for watching, Scotland was everything we hoped it to be and more 🤗
Scotland is beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
Wow it looks stunning there! The snow on the mountains is unreal. What do you guys do for heating? I think I'm going to get some LED floodlights on my bumper like you. Scottish highlands is added to my list now. Inspiring videos thanks so much Morgan's!
Great job guys 👍

Thank you 😊 Yes! Something you must do, will be even more special with that childhood nostalgia 🤗
I'm 50 this year and am going to hire a motorhome for 2 weeks and tour Scotland in early autumn. I have a T6 Kombi but won't be taking that, this is whetting my appetite.
Sounds like an awesome plan 🚐🤗

My mother in law is from Skye... anxious to see it! Beautiful scenery in this video! Enjoy!
Thank you. Skye is a very special place, I can see why your mother in law wants to live there 🤗
Stunning! Beautiful video. Looking forward to the next video.
Thanks John 🤗
At last, great to see this up today, only to be tainted by Mrs M admitting to cheating on North Wales, but from a North Walian, Scotland is stunning, once again thanks to you both and keep up the good work ATB
Don’t worry, my heart still lives in Wales 🤗 Scotland was quite something, thanks for watching 🚐💕
Lovely videos guys! Really enjoyed it!
Cheers Brian 🚐🤗
Major places we will share in our videos, but quieter spots we will share by PM only 😊
torquay is lovely though aswell
Great to hear your off to Scotland! Looking forward to your adventures, cooking on the go and all the good times on the road.
Thanks for watching, new adventures coming soon 🚐💕
