  • Paul said that we are not "under the law"...but Paul makes mention of seven laws! Out of those seven laws, there is ONLY ONE we are no longer under. Which ONE law are we no longer under? Are we no longer under the law of God? A choice between context and doctrinal tradition is about to be placed before you...as we continue to "test everything" and ask "Which Law Paul?"

The teaching of God's Word by Paul is targeted at the Roman's sinful laws. It is not correcting the laws of Moses but of the pagan religion of Greece and Rome and the law from those authorities. The book of Roman's should be self explanatory.

The teaching of Jesus is all about up building our spirit within us. It should come as no surprise in our modern, electric, universe, that the same electromagnetic laws found inside atoms, stars and galaxies, are working away inside us, and an all knowing God, and His much loved son, Jesus Christ, might spend a one-off instruction period to guide us into their highest science, knowing the day will come when we will need to harness their righteous teaching to offset some great tribulations coming our way.

I worry about the firm positions taken on the extremity of this path. The law called for the woman caught in the act of adultery to be stoned, but Jesus forgave her. Obviously we would not say that Jesus broke that law, or He would have been guilty of sin, but He freed her from the penalty of the law. He took God’s justice upon Himself so that He could give her mercy. Then He said, “Go, and sin no more.” I’m sure you would agree that this example shows that the law against crimes continues to stand, but my question to you is, what about the laws which prescribe punishments for crimes? Are you advocating that we stone people? I doubt that you are: I’m only asking the absurd question because you haven’t been careful to make a distinction. Instead, you have used absolute language throughout this series, saying that we should continue in the whole law of the Old Covenant, which must include temple sacrifices. But surely, you must know better, that sacrifices for sin are done away with, as Jesus is our only ultimately worthy sacrifice. You have alluded to this by being careful to say that we are saved only by justification through faith in Him; necessarily making an end of sacrifices. It would be good, however, if you would say this, and make sure that people know that we must not return to offering up animal sacrifices for sin, because some will otherwise be confused.

I suspect that Paul is saying here that following Jesus is following grace. The entire laws of Almighty God are embodied in the life, death, and resurrection of Yeshua and that it all revolves around our spiritual health and welfare. Righteousness bans unsavoury people from profaning the law of God whilst they pretend to support it. In other words, misleading people, and before Jesus, that is exactly what was happening...and this is made known to us by the fact that our saviour's name is still blasphemed by the leaders of the old teaching. This was a part of Almighty God's master plan. To be lifted higher than the angels, Jesus had to walk through the hostility of a people, be condemned, be slain by them, so that he could earn the respect of the angels in Heaven..because it is a re-enactment of how they were saved by their saviour, being Almighty God, Himself.

You say 'Consider the Hebrew for faith, emunah.' Consider, also, the Hebrew word for listen. As in "Listen, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is One. And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.…" The Hebrew word is shema/shama. The opening line “Listen, O Israel” does not simply mean to let the sound waves enter your ears. Instead, the word “listen” here means to allow the words to sink in, provide understanding, and generate a response. In other words, in Hebrew, “hearing” and “doing” are basically the same thing.

Considering the amount of confusion, speculation, and division many of Paul's writings have inspired, coupled with the myriad and varied interpretations, I'm surprised the God of
1 Corinthians 14:33 "For God is not a God of confusion but of peace." allowed so much of Paul's unfiltered doctrinal verbiage to be included within His Word.
btw/ Thank you 119 for your sane approach to unpacking all this.

Or maybe the Law of Christ is sacrificial love for one another. After all Jesus said no greater love has man, than to lay down his life for his friends. And Jesus gave us that example, loving us so much as to even die for us. I think that this may be the “law of Christ” that is compelling Paul to teach his fellow man the gospel, so that he was under the Law of God for righteousness/obedience, but also under the Law of Christ, which compelled him to spread the good news of the kingdom of heaven.

What, under the law of God? Paul repeatedly says things against Gods law, like the major one, the law has been nailed to the cross or tree and the law brings death. Heres another fine one, christ profits you nothing if you get a circumsion because that following that OT law, but then has timothy circumsized? Thats confusion. And if you wanna still be blind and try and twist that spiritually or what not, there is still the whole matter of christ saying call "no" man Father for you have one Father in Heaven. Now was christ meaning physically or spiritually because if spiritually (we guessing ,right) , what is paul talking about that he is now become a persons Father, you would have to say he meant that spiritually (right? not physically? that be weird), but the other christ says do not do this.? Well thats interesting is it not. I guess a question here should be.. Who do we follow. Ecc12:13, 1st commandment, Isa45:21.

Hey 119! I think in light of your new understanding of the mystery of reconciliation, the law of marriage and divorce , you need to remake the Pauline Paradox series
Because without understanding the how and why of redemption through the death and resurrection you cannot fully understand why Paul says the things he says ie “we are not under the law” and the commands affording the opportunity to sin (why keep the commandments if we are cut off by the law of marriage and divorce)
I just think these teachings are lacking without this revelation

I really like y'alls videos, but there is something that I would like you to answer. We know that Messiah is 'The Branch'. With this in mind we have to look at Zecharyah 3 to find that Yahushua was cleansed of iniquity... his own iniquity. From all I've studied, it shows that Yahushua was not perfect from his womb. If he were he would have no need to be 'taught' anything. If he were 'God, the creator' in the flesh, it would be a breach of Numbers 23:19
    Num 23:19
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
    1Sa 15:28
And Samuel said unto him, The LORD hath rent the kingdom of Israel from thee this day, and hath given it to a neighbour of thine, that is better than thou.
    Sa 15:29
And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor repent: for he is not a man, that he should repent.
We know that Yahuah is the 'strength of Israel'. These two alone are proof enough, but there is much more. We also have to pay attention to the fact that it says he is not the 'son of man', which Yahushua was called consistently until after the resurrection. It is by the resurrection that Yahushua is 'declared to be the 'son of Yah'. Not before.
We do know that Yahushua has to repent because of these two statements.
    Zec 3:4
And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.
    Zec 3:5
And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by.
We know that this is Yahushua as it makes this statement in it's conclusion
    Zec 3:8
Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.
    Zec 3:9
For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.
We also know that this is Yahushua Messiah because the writer of Hebrews says this:
    Heb 5:2
Who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity.
    Heb 5:3
And by reason hereof he ought, as for the people, so also for himself, to offer for sins.
While I do acknowledge that this was for all High Priest, it by no means excludes Yahushua and points him out specifically based on the context.
We also know that Yahushua was born of the flesh as we are. That word 'Flesh' means:
    σάρξ
...a living creature (because possessed of a body of flesh) whether man or beast
the flesh, denotes mere human nature, the earthly nature of man apart from divine influence, and therefore prone to sin and opposed to God
There is more to that definition, but it just confirms what is already stated above.
Lastly, salvation would be of no value if Yahushua was the 'creator' seeing as he cannot die. It would be fake. If he is 'Yahuah' then he never actually died. There's way too much more to say on this, but I would love to hear your scriptural analysis proving this to be in error.

Christians have been deceived by the false apostle Paul. There were only 12 apostles, not 13. Paul did not qualify. See Acts 1:16-26. Paul never knew or talked to the real Messiah. He got his doctrine, like Joseph Smith, from a light and a voice in his head. He was anti-Torah and ant-Messiah. Paul said the Torah was abolished, done away with, cursed, etc. . Paul was accused of teaching to not keep the commandments but they could not proof it and he stated that he does keep the law.
      And when they heard it,
      they glorified the Lord,
      and said unto him,
      Thou seest, brother,
      how many thousands of Jews
      there are which believe;
and they are all zealous of the law:
and they are informed of thee,
👉that thou teachest all the Jews
      👉which are among the Gentiles
      👉to forsake Moses,
      saying that they ought not
      to circumcise their children,
neither to walk after the customs.
      What is it therefore?
      the multitude must needs
      come together:
      for they will hear that
      thou art come.
      Do therefore this
      that we say to thee:
      We have four men
      which have a vow on them;
      them take,
      and purify thyself with them,
and be at charges with them,
that they may shave their heads:
and all may know that those things, whereof they were informed
      concerning thee, are nothing;
      👉but that thou thyself
      👉also walkest orderly,
      👉and keepest the law.
      Acts 21:20‭-‬24
      Then Paul,
      after that the governor
had beckoned unto him to speak, answered,
      Forasmuch as I know
that thou hast been of many years
      a judge unto this nation,
I do the more cheerfully answer
      for myself:
      because that thou mayest understand,
      that there are yet
      but twelve days
since I went up to Jerusalem
      for to worship.
      And they neither found me
      in the temple disputing
      with any man,
      neither raising up the people,
      neither in the synagogues,
      nor in the city:
      👉neither can they prove
👉the things whereof they now accuse me.
But this I confess unto thee,
      that after the way
      which they call heresy,
so worship I the God of my fathers,
      👉believing all things
👉which are written in the law
      👉and in the prophets:

Where does Torah state that we were once under the dominion of sin? It doesn't. This is Paul speaking out of his own arogance. Here is what God says about sin from the begining:
Gen 4:7 If thou doest well, shall it not be lifted up? and if thou doest not well, sin coucheth at the door; and unto thee is its desire, but thou mayest rule over it.'
Paul is most assuredly speaking of the law of commandments when he says "we are not under the law". He is detracting from the keeping of commandments of YHWH for righteousness for the belief that a man died for you and your sin and he has now become your righteousness. Torah makes no claim whatsoever that this is the way of righteousness. It is the keeping of Torah that brings righteousness and life to us jf we are obedient to it. There is no other means by which we can obtain these. Paul is taking what YHWH has said and replacing it with his own words that lead you to belive in the works of a man to bring righteousness and life.
If Paul is not speaking of the Torah then where did he get the idea that coveting is a sin?
Rom 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
Throughout the book of Romans, Corinthians and Galatians Paul is contrasting the keeping of law/Torah with faith and belief in the death and life of jesus as a means of salvation, forgiveness, and righteousness. None of this is spoken of By God nor any of His prophets. They are in direct conflict with YHWH. Paul is a fool who is leading you astray.
