    Bro, I just recently discovered your channel. These vids are a godsend. Considering how often these little pocket emulation machines launch, and how often I blow cash on each and every one, these vids will help me skip some of these in the future. Keep up the good work!

    is sonic adventure even more playable with spruce? get mine in a couple days an would love sa1 on this little thing

      I found that spruce didn't improve DC emulation very much so you can expect that SA1 would, at best, be slightly better but not much if at all

      @@RetroHandheldGuides thanks for the reply! also just real quick, how about n64 improvements? OoT is something i plan on trying to replay on this

      N64 is better in spruce, but again not by much. OoT is pretty playable though even on stock

    Do you think miyoo a30 will get onion os cfw? Thanks for the benchmark videos it really gives us an idea which games are playable for every handheld console you review. I really hope that they would also release a "plus" version. Thanks!

      Afaik the onion os team has said that they will try to bring it to this device as well but no promises.
      Hopefully, if not onion os then maybe at least a custom firmware that fixes some of these performance issues.
      I like the feel of this device, and if they released the same shell with upgraded internals, I think they would have a great device.

    did you have good roms

    • @RetroHandheldGuides
      @RetroHandheldGuides  5 месяцев назад +3

      I actually tried every rom type I could for the same game to see if it improved performance: GDI, CDI, CHD, and both pal and ntsc ROMs. It wasn't an issue with the ROMs, it's an issue with the emulator.
      Miyoo recently released an update to the SD card package which they claim is supposed to improve performance which I plan to test this week. I'll be sure to release my results if I see any improvements.

    Damn no Soul Calibur?

    • @RetroHandheldGuides
      @RetroHandheldGuides  5 месяцев назад +2

      Unfortunately no. Currently Dreamcast is pretty bad on this device. My hope is that an update will make it better as the chipset seems to be able to handle N64 ok-ish

      @@RetroHandheldGuides Soul Calibur usually runs well even if other games don't. Which I am fine with, it's my favorite Dreamcast game.

      What about using Spruce os?

    • @chrisw8069
      @chrisw8069 3 месяца назад

      It's just doesn't have the juice for Soul Calibur. I put ChuChu Rocket and Super Street Fighter 2 X on there. That's it. And that is for Spruce.
