Just found this in 2024. Now I understand what Coach Prime means by relationships. He's been coaching with Coach Hart and Coach Mathis for years. And look at young Kaleb Mathis the cub. Relationships are everything. The journey from coaching youth football to coaching HS to coaching college is fascinating.
Kids lucky/blessed that they are in a school with $. Here in cali bay are schools are over crowded filled with subs and no $ to have sport programs if do not enough $ not even to get new uniforms and go to away games on a donated beat up school bus.

In any case, this issue has been in the news for awhile, and the Husker coach was fine with letting him play until it got resolved. The preliminary hearing got pushed back to December now. But something happened between the Oct 12 game he played in and Oct 21 when the Coach said Washington was, "not part of Nebraska's plans in the immediate future." All the coach will say is "certain things are non-negotiable". But if he was still on the team while facing kiddie porn charges, you know this isn't just a missed practice or missed meeting. Dude did something seriously stupid. So there you go, wasted talent. Deon certainly didn't help his chances, letting him think football was all that mattered. Apparently Deon got him IN college, but not THROUGH.
