Hot tub EC or SL code How to fix it, Spa not heating properly when these codes are showing

- Hot tub controls can be a little odd, if you press a couple buttons too quickly the spa might go into another mode. I'll explain 3 modes and how to switch between them, EC is economy, SL is sleep and St is standard(the one you normally want).
Thanks for this. This is insane that we spend thousands of dollars on a hot tub which continues to have a un-intuitive control which probably only costs about $5 to make, a control which has probably barely changed in the last 30 years and is common across 90% of all hot-tubs. The market is huge for someone to supply a much smarter replacement for this garbage of a control system.

Brilliant bit of info. You've just saved me a load of earache off my Mrs. I ''accidently'' might of pressed loads of buttons and put the tub in Ec mode. Crisis averted . Thanks very much

Thanks for the great info. We had the tub drained and power off for the winter. Tub goes right to "economy mode" when power is turned back on. Was wondering why the tub was not heating correctly. Thanks for the fix. Now if only I can figure out how to set it higher than 104 F haha

Hi! I was wondering if you could help me figure out how to override a hot tub that has a malfunctioning topside control panel. The temp button on my Strong Spa is not responding to touch (the other buttons are working). We have ordered a new control panel, but there is a bit of lag time and we are a small exclusive hotel in the middle of nowhere and I really want the guests to be able to soak. It is stuck at around 82 degrees, everything else is working just fine, except that one dumb button. We have tried flipping the breaker, unplugging the cord to the topside control panel, unplugging the control panel itself and still...nothing.

I have rentals and the users are always getting the tub in the sl mode . I hate these things ,they could just charge 10$ more and have separate buttons
Great, I didnt know how to get out of the "Ec" mode, now I need to know how to turn off this thing (mine keeps the water flowing nonstop, when I press the left button I see flow changes from high to low and so on, no matter how many times I press this button this spa doesn't stop, its been hours and still running ....anyone knows how?? HELP :)
Thank you thank you 😊))) SL looks just exactly as 5L on electric screen and 5L error code in the book explains as a heating element went wrong. I tested it and it’s good, so I almost thought my motherboard is going out because no power is going to the heating element, until I watched your video and figured out that it stands for Sleeping mode 😅

I have an aquarest AR600 and the control panel on top isn't working properly. My hot tub is not heating up and I believe it is stuck in eco mode. Each of the individual buttons work but when I try to change modes I can't even get the modes to display. I am able to get the filtering modes to display and I can change those. I'm supposed to be able to press the heat up or down followed by the light and it is supposed to display the mode. Does it sound like I need to replace the control panel? My hot tub is not heating but it is maintaining 91 degrees. I can't figure out why I can't the modes to display.

Works with Viking Spas too. Just use TEMP and LIGHT button.

What if it doesn't?? I hit temp then pump and it goes to f2, f3, etc but if I hit temp (either up or down) and the light, the light comes on or off. It does not go into modes...it just shows the temp as if that's all I pressed. The light button turns the light on and off, that's it. Any idea's??

@@achau010 Yes...I'm a dummy! lol! I wasn't hitting the buttons right. Hit pump then temp and it goes into f2, f3, etc. But hit LIGHT then pump and you start scrolling through the SL, ST, etc.

Oh wow, if I want music in my hot tub I have to start singing! Could be bluetooth, try searching for BT on your phone, if that doesn't work call the company that made the hot tub! Sorry that probably didn't help much.....
