The moment I heard Devastator, I was all in. Happy that all six are coming next year instead of 4 next year and 2 the year after as originally rumored. I wasn't able to get the CW Titan Class, but after completing Menasor, I can see how much better these newer combiners are. Same we don't get any until wave 3 though.
I keep reading that it has been reported that it will scale slightly taller than Legacy Menasor. I hope so, I hated that Devastator was so out of scale with the other CW Combiners.
If it does scale with Menasor, this ends up being bonkers overpriced. As 2 deluxes, 2 voyagers, and a commander class equals $210. We end with what is basically the smallest Titan figure ever made.
It'll be close to menasor, but obviously not like the big bulky one from combiner wars. They'll try to make it the way it's supposed to look like in the cartoon movie
Hasbro should make that Devastator a gamer edition for devastation in the future. They could cell shade it and there ya go "SS Gamer Edition Devistation Devastator!"
Yeah. I suspect that if you don't pre-order them, then you'll be paying through the nose. But that's just the new normal for Studio Series 86 and Legacy.
@@Themadkingdrayzyeah yeah, try pre ordering something when collectors and scalpers alike are pre-ordering into oblivion to the point of it selling out before it ships.
Sizewise, we know the G1 Constructicons are all about the same height. So I'd imagine Scavenger and Bonecrusher will be around the size of 86 Perceptor: bigger than the average Deluxe. Likewise, Scrapper and Mixmaster will be around Ironhide/Ratchet height, same as Long Haul and Hook
Well at current prices 1 commander, 2 voyagers, and 2 deluxes would come to $209.99US. Which is sadly more than current titan classes. If this is smaller than the CW Devastator it better be a heck of alot more complex to make up for the height difference to be that much
I'm pretty sure one of the Hasbro guys said it would scale with legacy menasor. so that would mean that the voyagers and commander classes is more about parts count and complexity more than its size
Good video. Thank you for answering my questions. I am not to worry about scale for Bonecrusher and Scavanger. If Hasbro keeps the back transformation, like their G1 counterparts, the legs fulling fold upwards into the torso. This means Hasbro can elongate the torsos (and legs) of the two bot to get the right scale for Devastaror's forearms, while allowing the two bots to be at the same height as the other four bots of the team.
Well I didn't think the last two would be put together in one pack. I'll have to get a gift card for that. I like that it'll be about the same size as menasor, which I'm ordering motormaster today when I get a gift card, so I will be able to form that combiner gladly. Then this one will stand right by it next year
If we go by current prices, this will cost $210, slightly more than a Titan figure. And, if the rumors are true that he'll scale with Menasor, this ends up being ridiculously overpriced. But...there's almost certainly going to be a price increase next year (I imagine $5 for deluxe, voyager and leader figures, $10 for commander class), this could very well end up costing darn near $250
Hopefully he'll at least be big enough to look good opposite the S86 Dinobots - according to what I heard reported from the panel(?) Maybe a stream?) he's only about the size of LGC Menasor, but Devastor is supposed to be a beefy bot where Menasor was always kind of lanky, so if he's built sufficiently Hulky that could still work.
"Transformers fans are going to be "eating" very comfortably..." don't know about the other fans out there, but I'm already tired of ramen noodles at this point trying to keep up with what little 40th Anniversary stuff shows up in my area as it is, then some awesome stuff shows at SDCC, and then there's the existing Studio 86 stuff, AND now we're adding Devastator? - who can afford to eat at all anymore? ------ Too much awesome, too little money to get it...... hey Hasbro... how about a loyalty program where we long time fans get some of this stuff free???
I think all bots will be simillar size. Voyagers are likely to come with some additional pieces to make legs and Commander will have everything to make a torso and forearms. Maybe it will be one piece where you just slot Hook and Long Haul into and arms will have slots to attach Bonecrusher and Scavenger.
That’s fascinating! I too wonder if the bots will be big deluxes and smaller voyagers to look more cohesive as bots or the vehicles. Eh. I’ll probably have them as Devastator more anyway.
This thing is gonna have to be insane in order for me to replace my CW Devastator. I have Toyhax and the DNA Kit. So I really don’t think it’ll get better than that
Looking forward to collect Long Haul, Mixmaster, Bonecrusher, Scavenger, Hook and Scrapper. When I get the Constructicons along with Rumble, Frenzy and the Insecticons, I will have all of the Season 1 December from The Transformers 1984.
Just like the Commander Optimus will it replace the pervious version. I am not sure if this will be better than the Combiner Wars one we got awhile ago.
Hoo boy! that would change the current rough total cost from $210US to $230US. So if it's combined mode is roughly Legacy Menasor height like the rumors say. Then this is going to be one heck of a over priced figure. 😢
Well I'm certainly getting these bad boys. Just not looking forward to that hit to my wallet though. LOL 😅 I know I'll be replicating the sludge slamming scene when I get them. Unfortunately Sludge's altmode isn't flexible enough for it to properly do the scene where Devastator holds him belly up over his head. No arching back articulation in dino mode.😢
What I'm wondering is how much the commander box set is going to cost given its two commander figures. $180? plus 4 deluxes $24 are we looking at $276+??
No. It's A commander, 2 voyagers, and 2 deluxes. The commander holds 2 figures and the combiner parts. So it'll be roughly $210US when you total it all up.

Me too
Also I think that scale was directly related to why the individual bots were so underwhelming.
Predaking...
that's probably not a good thing, since construction vehicles are really big compared to a bunch of racecars
No question 86 Devy will be similar sized to Menasor. Same for any of new G1 Combiner we will having coming.
Glad to hear it is new from the ground up.
i'm sure the 86 Devastator will be pretty good once we get some images.
I kinda hope the constructicons come with pieces to build the launcher from the movie.
It was fun to meet you. I was the death head guy
im so excited for devastator
Is it possible to get a Quick Mix, Scoop and Landfill out of these?
With some retooling, maybe. Scoop is the most doable.

that's probably not a good thing, since construction vehicles are really big compared to a bunch of racecars
@@ScottFunk-us6ro True. And thats the difficulty with scaling.
But it's cartoon scaling. Then we look at Defensor and Bruticus and shrug.

I think long haul would be the leader sized figure because he makes up the lower half of the torso and the rearend of Devastator
Doubt that it will be taller or same size as CW. Most likely the same size as legacy stunticons
that's probably not a good thing, since construction vehicles are really big compared to a bunch of racecars
@ScottFunk-us6ro very true but realistically I don't see it towering menasor. I'm sure it's going to look amazing though.

Just give us a G2 yellow and orange repaint please.
2026 gift set pack probably

Thanks for this one. At least Hasbro is trying something different with G1 Devastator this time, instead of doing a rinse and repeat.

maybe they are all in between deluxe and voyager height wise and scavenger and bonecrusher could be sold as deluxes due to simpler transformations
Perhaps but very doubtful knowing hasbro's policies on pricing.
@ZedMazaus480 im just proposing this. there are firgures like this. trailbreaker and hoist are tall deluxes and ironhide and rachet are short voyagers

I have a feeling he's gonna be to small and floppy but i really hope I'm not ! Devistator needs to be big where he can hold up a big dinobot .
Thankful it is not a one box purchase👍🏼
If its not CW sized, im.just gonna skip it entirely, because Devastator is worthless if hes not an absolutely gigantic toy
