Honestly, I love that this storyline is a slightly different flavor of the MJF-Adam Cole goofy but sincere friendship.
I also love how they never bothered to hide Billie constantly corpsing because of how funny this is.
Or maybe they were trying, and that was the most straight-faced take they had!

This was absolutely fucking amazing and I honestly don't know how any of them made it through this without just corpsing but I've said that Athena is one of the best characters in all of wrestling because she can go back and forth between genuinely unnervingly unhinged and funny and goofy without it feeling forced. I'm hoping that we get a storyline where it's revealed that Athena genuinely does care about Billie and Lexy, like that might be a way to get her to turn face down the line.
Yeah there's no way this can possibly end with Athena continuing to be super-mean to Billie. Athena has already shown that she kinda cares about Lexy (I mean, she let her graduate Minion Training on her first try), but I gotta believe that Athena's constant abuse of Billie and telling her that she "sucks" -- while yet still continuing to take her under her wing and mentor her -- can only lead to Athena finally revealing that she does in fact care for Billie, but only will show that once she feels like Billie has started to reach the very high potential that Athena sees in her.
Billie is one day going to stand up to Athena and challenge her to a match. Perhaps for the ROH title. She might even beat Athena. But more than likely she won't, but will come VERY VERY VERY close to beating Athena and then lose. And after the match, Athena will finally show Billie the respect she deserves and say "I'm proud of you," and maybe even give her a hug, and the entire crowd will eat it up.
At least I hope so. Billie Starkz is so young and bright-eyed and happy, that seeing anyone being as mean to her as Athena has been is almost like seeing someone kick an adorable puppy. But the fact that Athena has shown interest in her and has taken her on as a kind of apprentice suggests that the meanness we've seen is actually Athena's version of kindness by trying to "toughen up" Billie, I guess.
Though it would be epic if the whole storyline ended in a violent and bloody no-holds barred match where they start putting each other through tables and pulling out all the weapons. (If that happens, I'm gonna need Lexy Nair to do a run-in for the finish of the match where she maybe throws her Minion tee-shirt in Athena's face to distract her quickly enough to Billie to roll her up for the win.
Who's knows what's gonna happen, but this is my favorite women's storyline in AEW/ROH by far.

Until she drops her ROH female title I doubt they'll put Athena on the AEW shows. I can't see these trio of girls together on Dynamite, Rampage or Collision. This is a ROH only thing.
I actually don't think you want it. The women don't get booked very well on the AEW TV shows. There's like one women's match per show, and right now, it's only gonna be Toni Storm related (I'm not complaining about that), or Kris Statlander related.
Shida has the Women's title, but the storyline more about Toni Storm challenging for it than anything about Shida.
Statlander's storyline is mostly about how Skye Blue got misted by Julia Hart and is acting like she's the next challenger for the TBS title.
That's it. Saraya won the title in London and maybe only defended it twice before shuffling it back to Shida, because they want want to hot-potato it back to Toni Storm. Where's Britt Baker? Where's Jamie Hayter (injured, I know, and will probably show up as a surprise at either FULL GEAR or WORLDS END), but yeah, they don't have much for the women in AEW Creative.
If Athena was on DYNAMITE or COLLISION right now with the state of how bad the women's division is and the AEW ratings in general, you'd maybe see Athena once or twice a month in a title match with Statlander (that she'll have to lose, even though she's a way better worker) or in some random thrown-together tag match that has no storyline behind it.
Maybe if "Timeless" Toni Storm beats Shida for the title at FULL GEAR they could try a thing with Storm and Athena where they put on a banger of a longish match with the two women's title holders to show who's the best. Yeah, Toni might have the AEW Women's title, but she's also lost it TWICE while no one has ever beaten Athena for her title and she's held it for longer than Toni's two reigns and with more title defenses. Or maybe a three-way match with Storm/Athena/Statlander where the winner gets to challenge BOTH of the other losers for their titles at any time in the future? That could be a really good fun match, because Athena, Storm, and Statlander are three of the best women workers they have (who are currently healthy).
But yeah, they really need to find a way to get Athena featured more on TV, but without sacrificing the amount of time that she would be featured, because AEW TV rarely features more than one or two of the women in any kind of meaningful way. (And there's no chance Billie Starkz would get any kind of important airtime outside of maybe showing up in a women's battle royal or something.)
