This game is fantastic, but it has major issues with freezing. The worst part about it is that it can happen in many different situations, and saving your game is one of the most common spots where it likes to freeze. It will happen either in the middle of saving, or right after you save. It also likes to freeze when you a working on a roller coaster, or after you've gained tons of money. But really, it can happen anywhere at anytime. Rest assured, if it happens to you it is not your system or necessarily the disc itself(it could be, but it likely isn't). I know all of this because my friend used to own it long ago when it was new. We had this problem then, and these days I have my own copy of the game that I play on my PS2. Nothing has changed.

Also, they just released Roller Coaster Tycoon Touch on iOS if you all want to sort of recreate this feeling on your phones.

Heh, I remember leaving this game running overnight on accident once, and coming back to more than $2,000,000 and the advisor wanting me to max out the price because everybody thought that the park was a steal. I loved this game when I was a kid.
i har that if you put two pylons together and make them as high as possible and a third one far away from the two and make it as low as possible, your roller coaster will be SUPER fast! ive tried it and it worked :DD

On the PC version if the line is not connected to a path properly the black bug pops and says "You didn't connect the line to a path, visitors can't get onto the ride until you do".

It's quite sad that the Bullfrog team spent their last days improving Theme Park World and moving the code over to other platforms, however they did a nice job with the PS2 port. The rollercoaster track textures appear to be improved and new 3D model peeps replace the low quality 2D bitmaps in the PC version. I've investigated in replacing the original textures with textures of the PS2 version but I'm no expert. Also in regards to the advisor - Lewis Macleod on the PAL version is much better
What's the difference between theme park roller coaster and theme park world here in uk.? Or is it the same game but yet another name for it. I I have it on ps1 disk but might try the ps2 version of theme park world
its a cool game i got it in gamestop used 4 10.00 bucks in carrer mode u can only make 2 coasters but in test park mode all u can make is roller coasters a lot of them u dont hav 2 worry

I don't know which one to play haha Although, Theme Park Roller Coaster is much more nostalgic for me, so I suppose I'll go play that one.
That black period (I called him that years ago lol) drove me nuts. I pulled the game back out to play more. He's always bitching, never happy. No matter how many food/drink shops you put, never enough! lol
