    There are really too many photos of the S24 that are out of focus, it's not normal, you either have a defective unit, or it's due to the fact that you weren't really stable while capturing images with the S24, or, most likely, and the impression I get, is that the rear sensors of the S24 were not properly cleaned.
    Ps: It would also be interesting to know if the S24's images are captured with the Scene Optimizer on or off.
    🙏🏽

    • @BarryDeiter
      @BarryDeiter 9 месяцев назад +3

      Yea i thought the same dirty sensors

    • @GadgetRevNow
      @GadgetRevNow  9 месяцев назад +1

      Awesome question. Scene optimizer is on. No dirty lens. I just mimic a regular person pointing the phone on the subject and shoot it. Whatever the effort I put in on one phone, the othet phone gets the same treatment. I don't do something special on the other phone. If I explained my method, people watching me will probably get bored of all the details but I'm sure these shots came from a perfectly normal method.

    • @rolins3279
      @rolins3279 9 месяцев назад +2

      @@GadgetRevNow I mentioned 3 possibilities that could cause your results with the S24, strangely, you don't talk about the 3rd possibility ''a defective unit '' 🤔
      I mention this because, in no other test, have I seen this focus problem 🤷🏽‍♂️

    • @GadgetRevNow
      @GadgetRevNow  9 месяцев назад +3

      @rolins3279 hey rollins, nice chattin. You can probably see that I'm doing nothing lol. I have time to respond, its early morning, Im starting another review but Im slacking lol. I dont think I have a defective unit, at this point I will notice it. I tested it with S23 and S23 FE, oneplus 12 probably next or possibly another old vs new, I dont think its the unit, the focus was just off when S24 triggers capture. I've seen my A54 from being "the worst phone" to an "almost flagship killer" because of updates, maybe Samsung is aware and will fix it. Could also be software? Not sure but I know, I feel you bro. There are misfocused shots. I edit them on a big screen so imagine me doing side by side, its painful to see misfocused shots- the amount of people commenting that I suck, etc. I could see them coming miles away LOL

    Very thorough comparison, but after I liked the images from the Pixel better frame after frame after frame it started to feel like something was off with this particular S24? Have only tested the S24 in a store recently but felt like it took consistently better pictures than my Note 10, which to me has been a very good camera... I would have no issue getting a Pixel, but really don't want to give up the optical zoom if I get an S24 as I really, really crave the 10x optical lens on the Ultra but absolutely will not buy a phone that large... 😠

    Samsung makes all the pictures look pleasing to the eye, coming from s22. But I chose the pixel because 10 years from now when I look at the pictures, I want to see the actual red that my niece was wearing instead of a boosted brighter one that I can always achieve in Google photos editing.

    The dullness of the pixel pictures... can they get resolved by upping the exposure? I mean, couldn't it be that the auto settings just under exposes the pictures too often? Or is it due to bad dynamic range maybe?
    I think the pixel rather under saturates the pictures rather than samsung over saturates. I mean maybe samsung over saturates a tiny but while pixel undersaturates too much.
    I wouldn't call the pixel a flagship. It's just an over rated mid range phone in terms of performance.
