Good video, I passed my mod 2 today and have no intention of getting rid of my xsr 125, I love the bike and it’s got me to where I am now, congrats on 1k subscribers btw
Right on! And congratulations on passing your test. There really is something about 125's. Nice to see I'm not the only one keeping my 125. I think I will always have one.
The R125 is such a beautiful bike, I really want one for my first bike, but the insurance is 2x of a MT125 I can afford both, but saving HALF of annual insurance is really hard to justify. May just wait till my full license to have a sport bike.
Yes, the R125 is a beautiful bike. I never knew that the YZF and MT were so different on insurance. If it comes down to the insurance, the MT is a really nice bike, and it has the same engine and running gear as the YZF.
@@RokyRode Appreciate the response! I believe it's because of it being a sport as opposed to naked looking at the difference between 800 and 1750 it's WILD lol Heard Nakeds are better to learn on for first time riders so it's likely gonna be the option! Excited to see the service video
That is a crazy difference in price. Naked are definitely easier to learn on because they're more upright. I never had a problem with the YZF though because I'm 6'2" and so I still sit quite upright.
@@RokyRode Yea I'm also 6ft3, I am however 400lb (down from 600lb at the start of the year) so I think the ergo may also have an effect on me in that regard
If that was in Northern Ireland you would have soo many cars tailgaiting you and overtaking you in nationals. But in England it seems the drivers are more respectful. I have a 125 myself but I rarely do 60mph roads due to safety risk of 125's.
Drivers here don't seem too bad in and around villages, like where I was at the start of the video. Out on the national speed limits though, some think it's 'Every man for himself!
2 hours German Autobahn and you know that Tailgating in Ireland is Childrens Playground Level 😅But it has one good thing. After that 2 hours you give a f. before you try Masterclass India. I never had more child driving on my CB125F wich hasn´t even 15 HP than in the Netherlands and England Motorways included with the bike even fully loaded.
That's a tough question for me to answer. I like the look of all YZF R125's. Of course, I particularly like the first gen because I have one. It all comes down to personal preference and cost. For example, I really like a digital speedo and analogue rev counter. These were only available on the first gen, after that, they all went digital. Some of the later ones do look really nice though. I've also heard that the 2008 models, the first year, had some differences to the rest on the gen 1's between 2009-2014.
May I be the first to say congrats on 1k subs, well deserved Pete!
Thanks Mate. It's been an enjoyable journey, and well worth while. Have met some great people too.
Finally someone on RUclips talking sense
Been a fan of the channel for a long time
I enjoy riding my 125cc bikes
Thank you. I appreciate it.
What 125 do you have?

I can tighten a chain now! I also have a hammer and a drill, so if you need help maintaining your bike, I'm your man 🤣
🤣 Excellent mate.
With the amount of miles you ride, you could probably do with knowing how to adjust a chain 👍
You need to try my 125 ......
I would love to try your 125 and make a video with him/her too.
What do you think is the best build year to buy the yamaha yzf r125 on marketplace?
