it's my observation about this scene " Falling wine was his previous moment he lived with her, and breaking glass was his instant realisation, wake up call from dream to reality". This film is so underrated, Imtiaz ali is super genius .

@@shersingh-zz4ds i've read that Ali's original idea was to have Harry consider suicide, so this act might metaphorically still refer to this darker deleted storyline (spilling wine=spilling his own blood?). I've also read that it was SRK who convinced Ali to make the movie more light-hearted, so sorry, this time it might be his "fault" if this movie is so underratable. He sort of chose to curl up into his comfort zone, and yet he gives the powerful, emotional acting performance he could have given at a whole bigger level if the plot was full blown.
This is absolutely gorgeous! The amount of silence between the two characters who are communicating with each other non verbally! The bit with the wine glass in the beginning and the sound editing when it broke! If this was in the film this might be my favorite scene

Why a 3.38 minute scene that was beautifully shot with no dialog just heartfelt emotions was deleted is beyond me. SRK and Anushka were wonderful in this scene, SRK especially.
My god my god perhaps this is the best scene of the movie . A 3 minute scene without any dialogue shows the acting skill of SRK. He is way head of any other actor in term of expressing emotions 👍👍

I loved it too, man. Shah Rukh Khan as Harry was God level. He showed that no one can touch him... He was so extraordinary. People of india are not ready to accept such a mature n nuanced story n treatment n the pretentious critics took false moral high grounds saying that Anushka's character was not portrayed well n other nonsense stuff about gender equality etc blah blah blah. I don't understand that why people can't understand that films not supposed to be lessons in moral science, ethics, gender equality etc etc. All a film has to do, is to stay true to the world the director creates. That's it. And people like Harry n Sejal are very much real. I can say it because I have seen it with my own eyes for God's sake. So, there's no point complaining. Anyway, I loved the movie n it did quite well overseas. So, it's quite evident who has taste n who got the movie while others can just whine n diss the movie but truth remains that they got a shitty taste if they can't appreciate it. Simple.

Both of them literally express the pain of separation, the horrible distance between them, the realization that they can't be together , can't have a peaceful sleep together anymore etc etc.. Especially we could literally feel the pain in his body and heart in this scene.What a great acting man.

I guess not everyone could understand this film. It had depth. Which was difficult to comprehend because it was so real and raw. I myself have now understood this movie after 3 years because somehow I connect with this movie better now ,I relate with it so I can understand from where it comes

SRK is the only favourite actor of mine within the whole bollywood because he acts through his eyes. You can see and feel the emotions with just one look at his face. That's what we call an actor. I'll always cherish him and his works 💜

God. Barely a word was spoken, and yet so much was said. This movie is beautiful. This scene is beautiful. Some scenes, imo, were deleted for the better. This one should’ve stayed.
Imtiaz seems to be drunk while editing this movie. This scene was essential to show the angst of Harry over losing someone he loves, again. It ties up his emotional issues so neatly. Why would you delete it? I need an answer!

This was a really nice movie, and mainly because of the performances. SRK's performance was so solid and beautiful, and also Anushka Sharma's, that they carried the movie so smoothly. That is why he is great, even in a non film, he does such a beautiful job! Beautiful artist!
SRK's passionate cute romantic charm and at the same time hard masculine harshness on his facial expressions r damn enough to accumulate all the irresistible tides of emotional hot love in any kind of movie scenes. He's the real king ❤️🔥👑

This scene was so great. It summed up the movie, the characters, what the makers were trying to tell thorughout, all tue emotions, and so much more. That too without any dialogues. It was such a waste getting deleted. It is a shame this scene was not included.
This entire scene is like a detail that got me blinking twice: at some point here we can see what looks like the smallpox vax scar on Harry/SRK's arm... Something so real, "unedited", unpolished unlike most of Bollywood style as I see it as a foreigner, often too unreal, too pretty, too polished... This whole scene is something else on an emotional level. Why in the world would they delete it.

Sometimes it feels like there was an entire other movie sitting under the surface of this one, that we only get glimpses off. And I have to say I think I would have preferred that other one. It feels like there's more of a story in there. Or a whole other world of pain...
The story is there but its up to the person to see it.I saw it without those scenes. Its there in Harry's eyes..if you want you will see it. Having said that I believe all the deleted scenes should be there so everyone could see and understand what is beneath.
I mean specific details. Like why the panic attacks, what was the event that prompted him to leave home in the middle of the night? What broke him so that he thought he was unworthy of any kind of meaningful relationship with people? There are hints there in the main story, but none of them lead anywhere. Just left like smoking guns.
Yes coz film is not just about him you can not put all this in the film;) Thats why hints . What I personally think the heartbreak(remember he mentions true love on seaside scene) made him leave India and try to establish himself in Canada. And obviously it did not work..immigration is a tricky thing some get lucky some not..etc.. So basically when he wakes up and sees Sejal next to him(keep in mind he already started to fall for her..in romantic why not sexual like with western women)..all the memories of the homeland ,heartbreaking he thought he got rid off came flooding back. I personally fine with hints ..coz all those scenes would add to the length and veer off of the main idea. But I wish subtitles were better ..like in the scene with his friend before he goes to India ..he says "I was afraid of stealing my heart and making me feel like home". The stealing heart bit was not in subtitles. T K definitely. This movie could have been similar to Tamasha in the sense where you see scenes like these and see SRK's pain as Harry as a whole. I thought they'd make him a little more complex like they did with Ranbir in Tamasha. SRK was amazing, but he kinda had an underwritten character. Some flashbacks would have been better. I loved the scene where he has the panic attack / breaks down because it was like Ranbir coming to Deepika's house and then breaking down on her due to his split personality. They had that sort of angle for SRK before his entire self discovery portion, but they didn't really go into it
@@TKgeek The reason he left home was to pursue a job as a singer which he tells before Radha Song.. The reason he has panic attacks is because he is lonely... His parents and loved ones are all far away and since he has run away from home without informing anyone and he cant find courage to return back.. Also he has found no one in europe in whom he has actually find true love... Now he keeps himself sane by repeating his mom's words and expressions which he saw as a child... Note when he starts falling in love with sejal these outbursts stop

Bollywood movies are so full of exaggerated 'song' scenes, that beautiful scenes like this one are deleted from the movie. Yet the editors insist that the audience would prefer the songs to a beautifully crafted scene with so much emotion. What a shame.

This scene was so powerful. Instead of that typical bus wala scene and song wch could have been avoided. Plus that singer in the restaurant. These two portions dragged the move and a better crafted climax would have made this a classic it deserved to be. SRK’s finest performance.

The movie is was and will be one of its kind. It is simple yet beautiful. Slow yet speed up your heart rate. Difficult to understand yet so real. The minimal act and passionate acting made it all so fav of mine. Totally relatable, how a woman wants a perfect life with a perfect partner but in reality the perfect partner definition is so confusing for girls.
Why did you delete that scene!!! God!! The wine.. he was "bleeding".... so much pain!!! I love this movie. Thanks God I could see this scene!!!

I loved the movie as it is but I realise now how much the deleted scens would have enriched the movie even more! in my opinion the editor Aarti Bajaj and RCE markting strategist of this movie...should go to jail.
There was nothing wrong with marketing strategy. But editing...editing was done as if movie would be released at some international festival, I mean it fits western mentality perfectly....but for India..where people got used to those long emotional dialogues and etc.....and without them they are like blind and can not even see what is story about.....

With the marketing what I meant was things like, having an event for each song they released during promotions, in my opinion when you have such strong songs, you just release the whole audio album. No need at all for all the suspense. What has happened due to this poor marketing strategy is that beautiful music is lost unappreciated. Also there is something called overexposure. Sometimes less is much much more and you let the work speak for itself.
I think most of the deleted scenes of JHMS are really good. Especially this scene should have been retained in the final edit. It is just so pure and makes one emotional as well. No word uttered by either SRK or Anushka but still so fantastic. And the BG score just elevates it along with the wonderful performances.
I loved every scene in this movie, and cried so many times, one of the best work of Shahrukh's, the deleted scenes are so good too.. I just love them ❤😭

I won't give a like for this scene because any separation is painful, if the couple is truly in love with each other. Otherwise, it's a wonderful piece of work - perfect acting, perfect expression.👌
That's why i loved this movie.. This scene perfectly shows the subtle emotions portrayed by both these characters which many ppl failed to see when this movie was released and thats why this movie was termed ludicrously as flop... Tell me how many actors can portray that they are about to breakup with just the piano playing behind in background just by their actions and facial expressions without uttering a sound... Magical this movie was and could be understood by ppl who really experience love after a period of loneliness as portrayed by Harry
Red chilles you guys need a better editors i feel ...watching deleted scenes from raees fan jhms dear zindagi makes me feel that...this scene what a act by srk and anushka..deep emotions no dialogues..watching on youtube it makes me emotional then think about theatre..editing is imptortant but if movie is good audience can watch it even for 3 hours ms dhoni and bhag milkha are examples..uf bad then even 1 hour is difficult🙏

The one who deleted that scene was not in his pick any way l love that scenary and the songs espacally in the bar about the sailor who wants to reach the shore. Good movie as you say not for Indian ,I saw the audience, and the T.V.girl who asked the question I am really sorry for those interviews that no sense in those question .well Mashallah for that film.
