First you say you "love" watching his tutorials, then go on to criticize his models and his techniques. The artist chooses the canvas he wishes to work with. Just as fashion designers use models that are thin, if that is what they wish to show their designs. Why would someone want to use an "average" canvas to accentuate their skill? There are plenty of every day average content creators if you want to see that. I prefer to watch a professional artist.
