How do I know what lead notes in what order to play along with the chord changes? In other words, what is the chord progression? New to playing over a loop. Been playing blues my myself in E and drop D for years. It’s harder than all the people make it out to be on YT to play with a loop. Maybe once in”feel it” I’ll be hooked.
Yeah man, once you learn what key the song is in, you can use the pentatonic to start playing the licks u want. If you want a free lesson u can msg me on discord, I'd be happy to show ya a thing or two about being able to improv :)
I always get confused on this: As a beginner, do I used the pentatonic boxes, with the first starting on A (5th fret, low E string) to jam over this? Is it A or A minor?
from what i understand, you can use the pentatonic or blues scale using the root note. an A scale would be ok if it was minor or major. check out Steve Stine's channel. ruclips.net/video/HaBGXaeUncY/видео.html is a decent video that offered me some beginner insight.

No offence but I doubt you'd actually have playing for years if you don't know an A blues progression.
Rippin some leads to that.
